I don't know if i'm remembering it wrong or not, but i remember that catablepons(sp?), used to use magic attacks in addition to the weakening spell, cause now they use melee+ the weakening spells.

I seem to remenber always wearing melee armor to fight them. And only they their special attack was magical.
