How many chaos runes would i need to be able to buy an onyx?

I think there are quite a few people on official forums buying huge amounts (100K+) at 140 each so i guess you can try that. You might want to buy at 145 to get the runes faster although the profit will be a bit smaller.

You will probably need at least 4.7M if you dont have any of the runes already.

No, you need 4.3M to start with, chaos sell in 1-10k amounts 130 each. Itsa fair price people will pay.

you could also do what i did and buy them from stores. It takes a while but the profit is amazing! An added bonus is that you can also use death runes. They work just as well as chaos if you buy from stores yourself. An important thing to remember is that every tokkul is worth approximately 16 gp if you sell a fury for 5m.
