All the other pixels ive ever posted (like 2 or 3 newbish 1s) were all done with the airbrush and sucked... this is the first actual 1 I tried to to seriously... Went by the pixels ect... Its my first 1 so not too harsh... If you say i need to shade better or something, tell me how to do that cuz i have never been taught anything lol....

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Shade the (grand) tree more, make the edges around the door a bit darker, give the grass a little surface texture, and there you go =)

Shading = give 1 section of the tree darker coloring than the rest

as u can see i did shade the bottom right corners of tree and made left side lighter.... i got what ur saying about shading, now what do i do for the grass?

Make certain parts just SLIGHTLY darker than others. It'll give an effect as if they are actual blades of grass shadowing other blades. And making the vanishing point (place where grass and sky meet) a bit less even would make it look more realistic.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Roots on the tree (coming out of the grass) would make it go with the theme that there is an intricate root system right under the tree. You know, like the tree mines!

the little tree shouldnt have a shadow becuase the big tree is blocking the light, its a very sweet sig though :D

1 Hit Quit: The small tree is great, the rest isn't so great. Grand Tree is way to wide and not detailed enough? Maybe have an owl poking its head out :lol: . The grass is just plain, no detail same with the sky. If you put in more detail overall then it would be much better.

I honestly only did it to see If doing that 1 to prove to myself if i put a few more hours into it I could make pixel sigs...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

My problem Is the drawing, I cant draw... I drew that stuff, but come on, trees... lol how hard is a tree...

2 tips

 

 

 

1) use free hand (the pencil tool) it looks alot better

 

 

 

2)dont rush or it will look really bad take your time have a rough picture in your head what you want to do in that part of the picture so if you do something wrong you know its wrong

I used the pencil tool for the whole thing...

what about adding textures for wood and darker + lighter green dots for the grass
