Im 17 years old and have a love for 50s rock 'n' roll and music in general. Eddie Cochran, Elvis (of course), Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry and especially Buddy Holly who is my favourite. Theres also Boddy Vee, Bobby Vinton, Bobby Darin, Dion and the Teenagers, Paul Anka and the legendary Nat King Cole. Just posting to ask this board of generally rap and metal heads (*erects flame resistent shield*) if you are keen on the late 50s early 60s music? If so which artists and songs etc. maybe there is someone on the board who actually lived through the 50s :P

I would've love to know some more about the fifties rock and roll. I really like the general soun it has got. And I do know some of the very basic things (who hasn't heard of most rockers you mentioned. :) ). But I just haven't got the time or money to get into it more. :(

I've listened to quite a bit of rock n' roll because my parents love it, and I like it as well. It sounds absolutely fantastic in certain situations.

Awesome time for music, I felt. I'm more of a 50s jazz fan to be honest, but I can't resist a bit of Chuck Berry. Buddy Holly was one hell of an artist, considering what he achieved, so young.

Yeh, recorded for 18 months and now 13th in the 100 greatest artisits of all time (Rolling Stone I think).
