oki am getting quite annoyed with java/rs atm

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

when playing any game from rebooting it works fine (all other games too)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

but after maybe a few hours of logging/changing worlds etc runescape seems extremely laggy

 

 

 

the flames on either side of the log in screen goes relly jerky, and when walking/running in game my character "lags" and doesn't walk properly. also there can be a 3 sec delay between my asking the char to do something and it doing it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

the only way i have found to cure this is by rebooting pc.

 

 

 

all fine and well maybe, but i havehad to reboot 3 times already today and its getting annoying,

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

while rs is playing up i have tried playing WoW/other games with no problems whatsoever, so i don't believe it to be a lag issue, rather than a java

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

now any ideas?

edit: have uninstalled java/reinstalled and shall be seeing if this helps

No help from me but i have the exact same issue so would appreciate any help :)

Try monitoring your memory usage when you are on the computer and see if if the amount of memory usage increases after you open runescape, then play for about a hour, then close it. Problems like these are hard to diagnose because it could just be about anything from your computer settings to your hardware to the runescape applet itself.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Please post if reinstalling java helped.

Jagex says that any lag may be because of the new music update. Everyone logging on for the first time since the update is making alot of lag, because everyone has to download the new music files.

atm i am not lagging, but i have only server hopped once, and have logged once today.

 

 

 

it took more than that before to make it "lag"

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

i am basically crossing fingers that the reinstall has worked, as the time of posting i have no problems
