Look there. 1- he maybe is not english but dutch, french,german or chinese or any other langeu. try speaking a langeu wich is not your own flawles 2- yep your right with a hel of a lot prayer pots for damis 3- search for guides in player made guides there is 1 very good one (labeld best on the web) and my own 4- the shadow is the hardest and always use the recomended spell on the bosses

Just snare him and farcast earth blast/wave on him. You'll still need some prayer pots but not anywhere near the amount you'll need if you melee him.
