Hi everyone - i'm doing the above quest but am completely bamboozled by the evil dave section.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I'm in his basement and i know he ate stew, but he wont tell me what he ate. All that happens is that i try to explain why i need to know and then give up half way through....... #-o

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Am i doing something fundamentally wrong?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I need him to tell me that he ate an evil stew. :wall:

Many people always skip this part, but make sure u hav talked to the gypsy, and told him u need to know for magic

hmm i've been back and talked to both the cook and the gypsy in lumbridge but still dont have the option to tell hims its for magic. All i can say is to save him from he culinomancers spell :wall: :wall:

Are you telling him "oh, nevermind"? If so, it is actually because you are choosing this as an option - the screen looks more like dialogue but it is really a list of options, chose the one about magic. It's one of the options in the middle of the chat box, above "nevermind".

the same thing happened to me! That's like the trickiest thing I've ever come across during any quest! I kept thinking I told all sorts of stuff he didn't want to hear, and then he would always stop talking to me! I spent like 3 hrs on that z0mg most annoying thing ever.
