Toad Posted July 20, 2006 Share Posted July 20, 2006 :oops: here goes nothing Introduction Getting there To get to the minigame Go to to green dot shown here in port sarim and talk to the Squire say you wish to go to his outpost You will Appear where the green dot is, the island has a bank a general store a ranging shop a magic shop and an anvil, To start the minigame go to the pink dot and Board the Lander by clicking on the Gang Plank The Game Itself Pest control is one of the best places for combat xp in Runescape, If you die you retain your items. Your objective is to Keep the void knight alive.. who is shown below A map to pests, you start where the red rectangle is, the doors are listed in blue, the green dot is the void knight, and the pink are the portals Portals Release several types of monsters, Fairly easy to defeat, you should only attack them when You dont have enough zeal or they or the spinners are healing the portal Interface The interface of pests... The Void Knights heal is in GREEN Your Zeal Or damage count is in RED (IT MUST REACH 50 OR MORE OR YOU WONT GET A POINT!) Time Remaining YELLOW Portals health are in PINK Portals Monsters Brawler Threat - Low Level Range - 50 - 157 About Brawler - They only stay near the portals so they dont ever threaten the Void Knight Attack Type Melee Defiler Threat - Medium Level Range - 41 - 125 About Defiler - They Range to kill the Void Knight.. although they dont really threaten them Attack Type Range Ravager Threat - Low Level Range - 35 - 105 About Ravager - They melee, destroy obstacles and Open doors Attack Type Melee Shifter Threat - Medium Level Range - 37 - 113 About Shifter - They melee, Teleport following there prey can also teleport past gates. Attack Type Melee Spinner Repairing Picture Threat - High Level Range - 37 - 92 About Spinner - They repair portals so are dangerous these Always take priority if they appear, Attack them once to distract and return to Portal. Attack Type Melee Splatter Threat - Low Level Range - 21 - 64 About Splatter - They melee, once killed the explode inflicting damage on 1 tile around them.. can hit up to around 21, but pose no real threat. Attack Type Melee Torcher Threat - Medium Level Range - 41 - 125 About Torcher - They Mage, they shoot fireballs, can hit frequently if you're wearing armour and they also attack the Void Knight. Attack Type Mage Equipt List Warrior Barrows, rune , dragon.. pick your best i wouldnt advise barrows because of its repair cost... Tips - Bring dragon axe do the special, and equipt your whip.. and use Ultimate Strength and Incredible Reflexes Prayer Mage Use your best Mage Attack Items, Ahrims if you have it. Tips Use Blitz And Burst spells this is a Multi Area, So you benefit from it, also aim for the Spinners and Portal if you can. Ranger Use a Ranger Helm from Fremenik Trials quest (I dont have one) Tips If you dont want to take damage use the tower shown in green, they have a clear view of each portal b&a Mage - Warrior Need, Ancients.. thats all and 68 mage This is for mage/melee approach Inventory... Spell you'll be using Purpose of the spell The spell is used if you cant get to the spinner.. and if its healing the portal you click on a monster near the spinner or spinner if you can, so they'll take damage and be distracted if the spinners distracted it means bye bye portal :) I did this because i wanted to melee but also quicken the pace of the game without worrying about spinners, i still start off with my dds specs :P Tactics Stand in a line! this way if a spinner appears one of you can attack without any problems of being blocked off! Click here to listen to spinner healing Quickest routes between portals Rewards You only get reward if you get your zeal (50 damage per round or above) GP - You get 10X Gp per combat level Eg level 100's get 1000GP Level 123's get 1240gp Points the best reward! - For your reward you can spend 1 point, or 100 and get a 10% Bonus! The formula to point is Square your level.. Divide by 6 If its Attack, Defence, Strength, Hp, Magic or Range.. If its prayer divide it by 12. Example i'm level 70 Ranged so 70 X 70 = 4900 then divide that by 6 816Xp per point.. or if i waited until 100 that would be 81,666xp But with a 10% Bonus of so 8166 thats 89832 Total Xp! Void Knight Clothes.. Are really Just for Show 250 for each apart from gloves that cost 150. The mace, autocasts Claws of Guthix, Wave spells, and Crumble Undead Mineral, Seed and Herb pack gives random amounts of there goods.
