I have tried on an HTC Universal (HTC also made the phone you have, I don't know what the i-mate name for mine is - it may even be the same phone) and it doesn't. As to the original poster's question, the phone must meet the system reqirements and have java installed on the phone and then it probily still will not work. If you do manage to run Runescape the screen resolution is so small on a phone you will need to do a lot of scrolling to see the full screen.
