Anyone who played the series back in the 90s still around? I've been playing the online version for a while now, still on beta but it looks really promising so far. They kept all of the designs from the original series and added a few more. I'm actually surprised the game has a relatively small playerbase so I guess it doesn't hurt letting people know about it.

wow..not played mechwarrior game since playstation 1 game release (the nostalgia!!)..the game does look good I admit. Assuming this game is an MOBA, if TU fails will definitely be an alternative game to consider.

Oh wow. I remember playing MechWarrior 2 way back in the 90's. Online looks awesome, too bad my comp would never run it. :(

I've never successfully played a mech warror game, and I still think my frined must be an alien or cyborg for being able to use that control scheme, but I did enjoy mech assult for the xbox, minus the part where you couldn't customize your mech and the manual was riddled with errors/written before the game was done.

Hehe, glad to see some people who still remember this game :)

Waking this thread because I'm now actively playing MechWarrior Online, after the previous computer decided to choke and force my family to build a new one.  I hope to see more of you on the battlefield, as my current enemy fare has been depressing.  BTW, a lot has changed since that video.  Be ready to enjoy a simple tutorial & revised hud, sounds, and thermal visual system. :shades:

And now I've quit it as well... that's 6 MMOs I've quit now...  Why?  Their "Faction Warfare, Phase 3" is not a proper upgrade from "Community Warfare, Phase 2"...  Sure, give me Lore as a good guideline when it comes to something like MechWarrior-based stuff.  But, leave it to me how I want to choose to play.  Never force Lore down my throat as a "You WILL play it this way", because that will drive me away instead.  All it does is take away from the experience when some company caters only to "Rabid Lore Junkie Zealot" folk.  I can only hope that company collapses from their own stupidity, because all they've proven to me is that they weren't the right company to handle the creation of a computer game based upon that set of Storyline. <_<
