This is not a quest spoiler, but it's a somewhat hidden part of the quest, so I'll put it in spoilers anyway: Oh, did not notice it was already in Saradomin_Mage's post, got distracted by the picture and didn't read any further ^^

I'm really sad that they chose to do a straight up yes/no poll.., I'm pretty sure some people would use the system even without any highscores part at all. Something like Champions' Challenge. Just the cosmetic reward, I'd even take an imp with a banner with a skill icon and a roman numeral, how many times you reached the 99. That doesn't hurt anyone at all, just something for people crazy enough to do it. I know the system was devised because of the highscores, but it really doesn't have to be such an integral part of it. Yes, not many people would do it just for the cosmetic, but that'd mean the reward would be that much rarer. Not many people farm Champions' Challenge scrolls, and even less did before Trimmed Comp, but some did and nobody ever said that it was a useless update. I can't be the only person in the world who just wants to level cooking (or any other skill) again for fun and a for show. Or when I reach 99 WC, I'd like to have a go at that again too. I loved the first 60 or so levels of WC. It'd remind me of the good old days, when I started the game. I mean, I can make an alt, or I can do that in 07'scape, yes, but then I could just cut normal trees for the amount of xp from 1-15, oaks for the amount of xp from 15-30 etc on my main character. Prestige would get me a nifty cosmetic reward for my main character for that. (I'm still imagining an imp with banner of a tree and "II" below it :-D).

Thanks, exactly what I wanted... I remembered that they didn't explicitly say they won't do bxpws anymore while saying that they want to do them in a different way... Didn't remember the exact wording though... It is 'kinda' misleading, but it isn't the "lying in our faces" as the RSOF ragers were saying... Tell me about it... I know it's not the same thing, but I made about 1500 extreme magic potions for herb training just a few hours before the weekend was announced... Talk about bad timing :-D

So... Double xp weekend is coming (seems like it's not gonna be the gradually lower xp modifier over time, but full on 2x xp for a duration of the 2 days), gonna be interesting to see some interesting numbers nolifing once again. Hopefully S U O M I's gonna have time and will be able to nolife to use this boost to its fullest (unlike last weekend when he nearly didn't play at all) :-). I'm really hoping he can get to 5B before the end of the year. Btw - does anyone have a cached version of the Future Updates forum sticky regarding the future of bxpws?

There is nothing like a fastest way to train a skill for most skills. It heavily depends on -how much money are you willing to spend (e.g. if you were to make demonic thrones for construction xp, you could get to 200m in under a day... it would cost a bit under 200b gp though...) -what's your level (after all, this thread is about maxed players going for 200m all, so it's assuming 99 in the skills) -how good are you at clicking (e.g. if you're able to alch fishes in between fishing ticks) -what skills are you interested in... If you want to know, which methods the top players are using, you can alway browse through the nearly thousand pages of this thread, where people are debating them. If you want some very good guides for skills, check the Archive of Wisdom section of this forum or the skill guides of the tip.it (accessible from the main page). If you want all of the various skilling methods for each and every skill along with their money consumption and their xp rates, I suggest going to the RS Wikia and checking the various P2P Training pages...

Yes, Allar is in top 15 but I was talking about top 15 in regards to Gemeos' spreadsheet, which doesn't include f2p (off highscores). Amongst the people that are in the highscores (I don't want to say active people, as it does include Telmomarques), he is #16.

Nope, he's rank 16 in overall xp... Both Drumgun and Paperbag have more overall xp than him. They aren't maxed though, so they don't rank above him in the official highscores.

Actually they simply do the adding for the total xp off of java using their custom web scripting language (.ws). It's similar to javascript and supports unsigned ints. Java has nothing to do with it. Oh, I thought it does the same with the in-game total xp display too (I didn't check the video)... Yes, that explains it. Then I'm back to wondering how they display the total xp in-game... :-) There was a post somewhere on rsof back before the in-game display was implemented, where people (myself included) posted a few ideas how it could be implemented in the game (someone was suggesting things like BigInteger (which imo aren't a part of RuneScript), someone calculating in Strings (which is imo a tad too complex), mine was a simple implementation in 2 integers (or a short and an integer, if you'd like to be extremely memory-effective) and then simply joining them to one string...). Don't think they've ever explained how did they do it, after saying that they just can't do it, for such a long time... Nah, he's right... Java has hardly anything to do with javascript, let alone a custom made language based on it...

LOL is it because I passed 2x max cash? You passed unsigned 32-bit integer (signed 32-bit integer has the same range below and above zero (-2,147,483,648 to 2,147,483,647, hence the max cash, unsigned is all above zero so it can go up to 4,294,967,295). It's actually interesting, java doesn't have unsigned data types (except for char, which actually is unsigned 16-bit, but that's something a bit different), the catch is that normal outputs (like PrintStream, e.g. System.out) show them all as signed. I just assumed that they somehow implemented a higher range through some sort of object (think something like BigInteger), but it seems that they have to be somehow translated to unsigned (without using 64-bits or working with objects) I'd love to see how they do it in terms of computing efficiency...

Pyrelord easily makes it his fastest skill remaining. pyrolord fm isnt effcient anymore, because of the new arcticpine/bonfire method, which is earlier stated in this forum Well, if he's gonna do arctics/bonfires, he'll still have some 41m fm xp to go when he's done with wc.

To be honest I didn't enjoy that part. That seems to imply Jake uses the same methods of Suomi and just simply gets less XP per hour, and that's why lower gains. Something that isn't true at all. Jake is using green/blue d'hide bodys (while suomi used black) and plays less hours than Suomi. Just wanted to make that clear. I just meant his xp gains are lower, I didn't mean to say he's worse at what he does. It seemed like a more interesting thing to say than just plainly state that he's crafting. I'm trying not to have 3 word sentences, to make the updates at least a bit interesting (even though sometimes it's not really possible) and it seemed interesting to me that both #1 and #2 are crafting so I mentioned it and went with the comparison of their xp gains...

Yeah, I'd do that but I can't really track everyone, so unless someone posts something interesting in this thread about someone like that, I don't really have what to post there. And because 16-20 are the people closest to getting to top 15, or who were there recently (e.g. Paulrat3 and Green098 respectively) I just do it this way. It would be too much work for me to watch highscores of some 100 people to try to find something interesting what happened in the past week.Think of me as a statistician, not a news reporter ;-)

Upcoming milestones: 200m Crafting (18.), 200m Attack ------------------------------------ 2. Jake: 3.520B (+21m xp) Jake has also been crafting, even though at a slower xp rate. He got his 18th 50m (note - even though he has "only" 18 skills at 50m+, which could seem low compared to other top players, 16 of them are at 200m) and also became the second person in Runescape to break the 3.5B total xp mark so congrats to him. Upcoming milestones: 50m Farming (19.) ------------------------------------ 3. Elias: 3.405B (+5.6m xp) Elias had a slow week, doing some fishing and hunter throughout the week and taking up yesterday. Upcoming milestones: None ------------------------------------ 4. Elvis: 3.367B (+13m xp) Elvis has been doing firemaking and smithing, getting nearly the same amount of xp in both (only ~9k xp apart) and got nearly to 100m in both with firemaking probably going to be the first of them to be passed as he's only missing <7k xp atm. After a month of nothing but attack training and farm runs, he finally got enough charms to finish summoning, one day and 51M summoning xp later, he got his 17th 200m, getting once again ahead of Jake in terms of 200ms. He's doing crafting now and is only a bit over aweek from getting 200m there. Upcoming milestones: 200m Crafting (18.), 200m Attack ------------------------------------ 2. Jake: 3.496B (+22m xp) Jake's gone from smithing to full time crafting. He's about to reach 3.5B total xp as the second player in the history of RuneScape. She's also getting her dungeoneering up a bit more and could eventually finally get to front page highscores (she'd currently get to rank 14). Dragonseance is still RCing with his usual helping of combat xp.
