Jake: 3.411B (+13m xp) Jake is finishing his woodcutting/firemaking training. Judging by his xp gains, he has switched to curly roots from arctic pines today. Elvis: 3.292B (+38m xp) Elvis got once again to the rank 3, getting 25m xp ahead of Jdelacroix. Just so everybody knows, Chilly had a name change to "Nico Robin". And of course, every rank change, every xp gain, every everything regarding top 15-20 will be reflected in the top 15 update on monday, I won't miss a thing, don't worry :-)

15.5M Crafting in a day? That's a very, very low xp-rate for one day (if money is not an option). Very, very low? Compared to what? He broke a record... And actually got up to 17.3M...that's 720k xp/h if he went 24 hours straight (imagine cutting onyxes for 24 hours straight). What method do you think would be faster than 720k crafting xp/h?

When I trained slayer at my best, I got around 9mil xp a week between hp, attack and slayer. Obviously, I wasn't as efficient as the maxed players, but I played a large chunk of the available hours of that week - more than , I'd posit, having a full time job. So, it's about the same amount of xp per week (for me), but only takes 4 hours to do, and $500. I'd say it'll have a pretty large effect. It sounds scary if you say it like that but if I look at the numbers, I see 2 things: 1) If someone wanted to buy 200m in all skills from being min xp with total lvl 2496 purely through cash, he could have it by year 2022. 2) If Jake were to start buying max spins each week and would otherwise have the same xp rate as S U O M I, it'd take him 2 years to catch up with him... So it seems that it won't have much of a effect on the race to 200m all (or on top15 for that matter). Yes, it can help someone get maxed cape pretty fast. And gratz to him on that but I don't think anyone races for the max cape. Does it really matter if you're 10000th or 11000th to get it? When (if ever) I get my completionist cape, I won't think "Oh, there could have been a hundred less people with the cape, running around Runescape if it weren't for the damn SoF", I will think "I did it. I worked really hard for it and I finally got it. Huzzah." And that's the only thing that matters imo. I'm playing the game to have fun, to beat goals that I've set myself, because I enjoy the game. If someone wants to show off their irl cash, buying xp in an mmo seems like an odd way. I'd rather buy a new car.

He keeps training attack, in which he could reach 200m in about 5 weeks. Upcoming milestones: 200m Attack (17.), 30m base ------------------------------------ 2. Jake: 3.397B (+11m xp) Jake is now 2 weeks' worth of xp off getting to 200m woodcutting. He might stop when he's about 2m off to go do the 200m firemaking so the woodcutting xp from curly roots doesn't go to waste. That'd get him to 16 200ms, the same amount S U O M I has just reached. Jdelacroix 3.256B (+8.8m xp) Jdela has decided to mix it up a bit this week and train a bit of woodcutting along with his usual hunter gains. This stunt has made him get 3 ranks up, getting past not only Green but also Pope and Paperbag. He'll probably pass Zarfot very soon. In other news, Dapledo seems to have stopped playing completely, lost a rank to Chilly and might lose a rank to Dragonseance next week...

Obviously Yes, disregarding the fact that it would be a waste of xp not to use them, we can look at his xp gains. He got the exact amount of xp per a medium lamp in runecrafting some time yesterday judging by the numbers in RuneTracker (17205xp). I'm not sure if anything else gives the same amount of xp, but afaik, JoT, Clan Fealty reward and Strange Rocks use a different xp formula which is a bit more xp than a small lamp. I'd say he got an equivalent of about 10 small lamps (1 huge lamp = 2 large = 4 medium = 8 small) last week, after substracting all the effigy xp from his weekly xp gain. Cba to check the actual numbers because of all the random gains but I'd say that at a rate of 4+ spins per day (2 free and 2 from drops + the double spins), an equivalent of 10 small lamps isn't that unlikely.

Actually it seems like I only get it once per day... I got 2 spins from burning roots today (in a span of 2 hours). Yesterday, I got 1 from skilling and 1 from combat. It's definitely not 1 per day. Sure it is. Once per skill per day, just like sacred thingy is two per skill per week. I got 2 from 2 herb farm runs. Well that's pretty odd. I've only gotten one per day so far doing Agility and it seems to happen relatively early on during my day. Edit: Some TMOA people are telling me they're getting 2. Maybe it's 2 per day or 2 per skill per day, and I'm just having bad luck with Agility or it's programmed differently for Agility to be 1 only, idk. [/hide]In my experience, getting strange rocks from agility is very slow, as the chance to get them is per lap completed (and kinda low). The fastest strange rocks are imo mining pure ess and RC (both have a chance per ess) so if someone would like to test if the tickets are really the same chance as the rocks, this might be the way to go. Also, I already got 3 after the daily spin reset from firemaking. 5 in a span of 6 hours hours

I don't think she's racing for any goal in particular. More like she's slaying to pass time while waiting for new content with the advantage of getting xp... She was at ~19m last May, the gains have been pretty much linear since then (~3.2m per month in average, some months were faster, some months were slower but at least 2m gain every month).

Jake: 3.376B (+10m xp) Jake still hasn't abandoned his trusty Adze and got 8m closer to 200m woodcutting, which he should reach in 3 weeks at this rate, leaving him ~22m from 200m firemaking. Jdelacroix 3.239B (+11m xp) After the summoning-filled weekend, Jdela has gone back to her powerslaying/hunter routine, getting to 100m defence mark (15.). Here's the update for 12.03.2012 to 19.03.2012. I'll do the next update on monday too, so the bxpw experience aren't messing with the statistics and the ones after that will be back to weekends when I have a bit more free time. ------------------------------------ 1. S U O M I: 4.059B (+44m xp, 33m during bxpw) Before the bxpw, S U O M I reached the 100m Attack mark. During the weekend, he got around 20m Crafting xp for the main part of the bonus. He also got 8.2m of Summoning xp in the end of the weekend. I'm not sure whether these are the final numbers as his profile hasn't updated in about 15 hours. It's possible that he's been online for some of the time... Upcoming milestones: 200m Constitution (16.), 30m base ------------------------------------ 2. Jake: 3.366B (+16m xp, 11m during bxpw) Jake hasn't left his routine of arctic pine logging before the bxpw and hasn't lef the woodwork industry even during it as he has done some (4.9m) Construction for the >1.1x bonus multipliers and then went back to the frigid lands of Neitiznot. I'll probably make the update monday afternoon, after the bxpw ends. Tonight I'm gonna just make some notes about the progress since my last update and write down the total xp's of everyone and will distinguish the normal gains from bxpw gains in the update itself.

I've got an excuse to do this. :D As a software engineering student and a future game designer, I read about the games I play much more than I actually play them. Whether it's a wiki of the game, an average troll thread on the official forum or threads like this, which debate the end game gameplay points... Anyway...thanks to everyone for the kind words. I'll try to do another update next sunday (if I'm at 1.1x multiplier by the time, I'll be probably be doing something afkable anyway :-)) or monday...

Done... not sure about the rank though, he might pass if he'll do a fast skill, but if he's gonna continue crawlering, the xp rate is gonna slow down significantly. Oh dear... OK, I've tried to do the update. Dunno if every info is 100% correct, but it's my first time (can't promise to do this every week, but if you like it, I'll try to make time for it). Even though I try my best, English is not my first language. :-) Update for the week of 4.3.2012 - 10.3.2012 Because of the upcoming Bonus xp weekend, all upcoming milestones and prognoses should be taken only as a pure extrapolation of the current progress as people willl probably not continue in their routine during next weekend ------------------------------------ 1. S U O M I: 4.008B (+22m xp) S U O M I had a big week, being the first to get to the 4B xp and briefly changing his username only to be forced to revert it back to the good ol' S U O M I. He trained pretty much only Attack (even getting to nearly 17m att xp in a week at one point) along with farm runs and a bit of rc xp for good measure. If he stays at this rate, he should get to 100m att xp next week and to 200m constitution until the end of the month. Upcoming milestones: 100m Attack (22.), 200m Constitution (16.), 30m base ------------------------------------ 2. Jake: 3.348B (+8.3m xp) Jake still continues in his mission to wipe the forests of Neitiznot with fire and steel of the Inferno Adze. Jdelacroix 3.176B (+11m xp) Jdelacroix is doing mostly hunter and powerslaying (training defence and a bit of ranged and magic with it). Wasn't it Dominion Tower? I am not correcting you, just wondering. According to RuneTracker, it happened on 28.8.2011, which is 2 months before the release of the Dominion Tower... Also, I think there was debate here in this thread how did he manage to get 187m xp in one day, the conclusion was that he used zeal...

There's a difference between having a 64bit variable on a 32bit engine and just wanting to display a number higher than Integer.MAX_VALUE. If you don't have to store it and just want to display it, you can work around the variable limit. On the other hand, if you wanted to have it as a variable, it'd probably slow down the game because the operations with it wouldn't be optimised for the 32bit engine of the game. There was a topic on the RSOF that had a few workarounds to allow the display of total xp in the game. Unfortunately it's gone now...

Are you sure you know what you're talking about? If there's one drop that can be changed across the board, it's effigies... The drop rate is a function of the combat level. If they changed the function, they changed the drop rate for every monster. They don't have to change the drop rate manually for every monster. It's more like the monster has a flag whether it drops them or don't, nothing else about the effigy drop rate. you'd be surprised how poorly they wrote this game that makes me say this. If I made the game I'd do it like you said but Jagex time and again has supported my theory on some pretty important stuff too I think the fact that the effigy drop rate is directly based on the combat level has been proven by the mummies. Their combat level was risen because, as a quest monster, they could take some time for players to figure how to kill them. The effigy rate was a side effect of this. They were not given the rate by itself, it was increased automatically because of the combat level change. It's an example of omitting the basic rule of programming that whenever you change something, you have to make sure you haven't broken something else by the change (though this change was most likely not done by a programmer, it might have been just some designer playing with the tables to make sure the monsters have appropriate combat level for their strength and purpose the change of the combat level is justifiable but they shouldn't have kept the flag that they drop effigies (and probably shouldn't have had it in the first place being a quest monster))
