  1. DNA strings -> P-molecules -> atoms -> electrons, neutrons and protons -> stuff that looks like a pink kitty -> more stuff. I think they're called Quarks. Not sure. Strings, too...
  2. Anyone have anything else profound to say? :boohoo:
  3. The Earth has few years left, the Sun has a few billion, the Universe, only 10^25, each one of us only 100. We are endlessly mortal...
  4. Yet there is no importance beyond ourselves... What do you even mean when you say that? I'm trying to think up an arguement to your point, whatever it may be. But I don't know what it is, so I can't. Basically I think you're going through the 'why are we here?' phase. Fact is, we are. Get used to it. To say we give meaning to the entire Universe is faulty. If we are the only lifeforms, then the rest of the Universe is inanimate and has no sense of meaning or importance - or anything! Importance and meaning can only exist in oneself, in the mind. We give importance to ourselves, not rocks drifting light eons away. Actually the depressing note of the message was mostly bait for the topic. I have always been intensely curios about all manner of things, which is why I have been learning and thinking about philosophy, physics, psychology, biology, and anatomy (especially neurology) for all my years. To look at things as objectively as possible, the purpose of all life forms is to a) stay alive, B) keep offspring alive, and c) keep the species (and indirectly, other species) alive. Every thought, emotion, action, and sense is for no other purpose than a) survival of the individual, B) survival of the offspring, and c) survival of the species (and other species). Ergo, the meaning of life is life itself, the meaning of existence, to exist. From a subjective standpoint (remember, even objectivity is subjective), this may not seem very satisfying. At this point you need to evaluate the reasons you want to know the meaning of life. If it is purely human curiosity, charge on! Let's consider that the Universe and life has a purpose outside of itself. That means that something has to exist outside the Universe and life. And THEN there has to be a purpose to whatever that is. It's easier for it to have a purpose with itself, just as it is more logical for Universe to have always existed than to have an infinite number of gods to create the Universe and the god before them. It makes more sense to have a brain within our heads than a little man inside our skulls with another little man in his... It's more plausible to have an Earth floating on its own without "turtles all the way down." The intention for this topic was discussing the emptiness of space, not so much the meaning of life, or the actual value of human life... but they all tie into each other. It is much easier to find personal happiness and meaning to your own life in a colourful and beautiful, full and populated Earth then the empty, chilling depths of space. And mostly existentialists are dark and depressing, but in a much better way than goths and emo's.
  5. Yet there is no importance beyond ourselves...
  6. I hate emo's... I'm definitely not "emo." Since when did anything vaguely existential get taken over by kids who wear makeup to handle their issues? :boohoo: I bet very few goths or emo's even know what "existential" means... :3> Love life, kids... \
  7. remember a couple of hundred yrs ago we thought the world was flat maybe its the same with space.. It's actually been 2500 years since Pythagoras first theorized the Earth is round. I've been through the history of geodesy with the Flat Earth Society...
  8. Have you ever looked out at the stars and felt very, very small? Here's a video that triples that feeling. It shows the galaxies of the Universe scattered like dust... floating around, with silent emptiness as well. A lonely, giant, empty Universe a few tiny, insignificant humans. http://revver.com/video/34551 What are we worth?
  9. Hey... Do you think ESP is possible? :uhh: Because there's this site that says it can tell what you're thinking... I dunno... any explanations? I've been trying to think how it works. :wall: What is they can read our minds?! :ohnoes: The site is here in case you were wondering: http://revver.com/video/40311
  10. you mean these ideas are going to die if the topic doesnt get bumped. sorry dude, but the ideas just dont work. they are not a logical or practical solution to the macroing problem, so i think the best place for them is somewhere on the 76th page. There's a 76th page?
  11. These ideas are going to die if someone doesn't adopt them...
  12. He said: "even the people who say they honestly believe it are joking."
  13. I don't find it hard to believe that they're all just joking, but what you just said kinda confuses me. If you truly believe something, why would you be joking about it all? Your statement kinda contradicts itself. :-k Unless your *mentally challenged*, and most of them seem like pretty smart people (with being able to explain things and answer questions), so... :uhh: Even the people who SAY they believe it do not really (they lie). Get it?
  14. Yes, apinagez, some of them are.
  15. I am going to introduce you to perhaps the least intelligent forum ever created in the history of the Internet. The Flat Earth Society is a group of people who genuinley believe the Earth is flat and there exists a worldwide conspiracy to cover it up (for an unknown reason). A few of the members are simply playing the Devil's Advocate for intellectual stimulation, but there are members who claim to truly believe that the Earth is flat. Please participate in the Flat Earth/Round Earth discussion if this has piqued your interest. The Flat Earth Society Forum: http://www.theflatearthsociety.org The Theory Explained: http://theflatearthsociety.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1324 Terminology: FE = Flat Earth FE'er = Flat Earther (one who believes in the FE theory) RE = Round Earth RE'er = Round Earther (one who believes the Earth is round)
  16. Currently 54% want them gone from the post box. 8-)
  17. What Stallion4589 said: "ip bans dont work anymore. the existance of dynamic ip addresses have made that type of punishment inneffective. i get banned, i changed my ip address, i can play again."
  18. [bleep]egamer that IP address plan wouldn't work unfortunatley. =\
  19. Some of these things I had planned I highly doubt a macroer could get by, I designed them specifically for that. The bigger concern to me is some macroers have surpassed level 3.
  20. I was in the process of writing this two months ago but it slipped away from me. Now I'm counting on one of you to finish it and clean it up, so it can be presented on the official forums in the hopes that Jagex will accept it. I have posted it below and on Docly.com.
