  1. Upcoming slayer masks:

Mask of Dust → Helm of Devilry: Dust devils

Mask of Gelatin → Jellyhead: Jelly

Mask of Granite → Helm of Grotesquery: Gargoyles

Mask of Mourning → Helm of Keening: (???)

Mask of Vines → Helm of Mutation: Mutated jadinkos

5 new masks could be found on quick chat, 5 new helms. The relationship and monster it corresponds to are totally non-confirmed, though.

    Edit: Found the last helm.

  2. Well, I got the problem that Jad is healing himself in some way, as even when I got all the healers on me, his health never goes below 50%. :s Still have to beat him post-EOC.

You need to walk a lot further away for the healers to stop healing him than in pre-EoC. They will continue to heal AND attack you if they are within Jad's vincinity.

IMO, post-EoC Fight Caves is quite a bit tougher, and not worth the extra experience anymore.

  3. Usually I'm against upgrading low level shit, but an adze upgrade would be good because it's basically a quest item. I'd prefer if the new version came from a similar minigame that required an adze to unlock though. Perhaps if we added something to notify varrock if zamorakians were invading. Or similar for other factions.

  4. Pre EoC required a good amount of attention too.

You had to refill your cannon, Soul Split flicking, positioning to minimize loss of attack turns due to movement (for Melee), positioning of your steel titan and constantly have it change targets to prevent overkill, special attacks, Prayer points, overload. It required a healthy amount of attention.

PvP required a great deal of attention too.

That's not actual challenge though, just player-inspired tricks to be more efficient. It's like playing SMB3 without trying to lose a life, or writing your school essay with a self-imposed challenge of staying at 100+ WPM.

At best it's a conglomerate of emergent gameplay.

If you transport that mentality to EoC, most of it still applies. With the added bonus of timing hits so you you never strike an ability still on cooldown.

  5. What is the best scrimshaw to make and sell?

Cruelty I'd imagine - seems to be the only one of any use.

Jagex recently manually adjusted all Port items to the price that they sold for.

So simply going by the GE list is pretty good.

But from the top of my head; Vampyrism and Tree-shaking seem to be the best. Cruelty seems good on paper till you realise nothing but Kree gets ranged by any serious PvM'ers.

  6. I did 183+ kills in an hour (two OVL/Renew/SupAnti) with a Bunyip and Soul Split in the 3 Mithril hotspot. Started with 10 sharks (though they become unnecessary once you have <2 miths on you).

It does force you to loot quickly though. Hence why High Alchemy is best placed on your action bar and you bring Bonecrusher and Charming Imp.

That's with Void, so should be significantly easier with FSH.

  7. 3 JoD, 3 ox head, 2 merch, 6 of each base crew.

Seriously? You just had two pages about this in the last week.

It's been proven time and time again. 5/5/5/4/3/3 is the best setup. Stop saying otherwise.

555433 is best overall before you max port and ship, but after that point, three merchants are hardly ever if at all needed. I'd also like for someone to tell me a reason to have more than 3 ox other than getting an extra 200 jod bonus in dual while still being able to do a triple for trade goods, because, as far as i can tell, you never need more than 3 ox for two relatively rare missions that you are not likely to have two at a time(for which you'd need 6, anyway).

Actually, with the totem upgrade, I get trade good voyages in my Standard voyage tab with startling frequency.

    I don't think 3 Merchants is excessive.

  8. Also, what's the best endgame trade goods crew setup? Right now I have 6 combat, 5 morale and seafare, 3 JODs, 2 Merchants, 1 Jade golem, 1 Sea witch and 1 Ox. Actually, that's only 24, so I probably have 1 more morale/seafare. That setup has done just fine for me so far, but I imagine it can be better.

Best trade goods set-up is 6 Harem, 4 FTR, 5 TB, 4 OHHF, 3 JoD and 3 JM.

Best all-round set-up (ie: for xp/scrolls too), is 5/5/5 rather than 5/4/6 in your basics.

  9. 19/04 - 13:54

-Enabled secure websocket connections to the game worlds to help people behind outdated proxy servers

    Finally allowed me to login.

I pay €60 for this service per month (premium package) and stupid ISP won't even update their [bleep]ing proxy servers.

    The gall!
