Time = money. Barb fishing is about 50k xp h, monks 33k xp h, barb fishing gains fishing+agility+strength+cooking xp, monks gain fishing xp, the time you save fishing there you'll have ~100h to rc and make up the cash difference. Gonga_Jew (rank 27 overall) and Zero_Max (rank 19 overall) are two skillers I saw racing to 99 with the Shilo Fishing Method. With my time fishing here, I've also seen the #2 fisher here (Drummer's Mom). :-k

The true skiller notices that barb fishing is flawed in the sense that you make no overall net profit or loss, therefore goes for the 2nd best alternative, which is fly-fishing. :wink: Fly fishing requires somewhere around 200-250k feathers which could previously have been bought at almost the same speed as now. However, the update does make it a little easier. Overall, you will only see a slight increase in the number of 99 fishers due to the patience involved in getting it that high.

Rares were easy to buy in classic. Now, you have to work yourself so hard and long to get a rare. This is not fair, and this is unfortunately how the rares market has evolved to become. I remember the prices being as follows when I played: santas for 200k, red masks for 350k (btw nobody actually wanted red, everyone was drooling over blue masks), blue masks 300k, green masks 250k, and phats were I believe at max 10mil. It was alot easier to make the money to buy a rare back then, and I don't see why it should be different. Rares aren't alot rarer than they were in RSC. I still see tons of them, and their rarity may have only increased by a small percent. There is no great noticeable change. Theerefore, I don't see a good reason for such a huge price leap. I think that's all I have to say, and I hope I expressed myself well. :shock: Also, my brother and I both mined to make money. It was a great way of making money, even with coal.

It cost me 2.3mil to get 1 after 5-6 deaths on Jad :x . This included the total cost of repairing guthans, crystal bows, pots, and shark. Oh and I think the fight caves is evil now! and Jad....erg no comment on that meanie... :wall:

That's kind of obvious. I'd like more specifics, however it seems no one will have them for quite a while.

What are these "gloves of lightness" that Jagex is referring to? Are they penance gloves or something else? And does someone know the weight they reduce or their stats?

When I was f2p, i made around 25mil by cutting yews and mining rune. It is easy to do if u have the right skills. :D

The rarest rare is probably the half wine. However I am sure that last year, the rarest phat was in fact the white phat. :D I sent a query to Jagex asking which phat was the rarest and a mod sent me a response. However now after so many merchants, autoers, and cheaters have been banned, another phat might be the rarest..

Aggie lets you make a new "pink dye" after you beat the new quest. Use the dye with a regular red cape to get a new colored cape. Since i'm f2p, iwant to know if i can make/buy it.
