There's also a new item in the GE called Hazelmere's signet ring. It's speculated to be a tier 5 luck-enhancing item, but nobody outside of Jagex has figured out how to obtain it so far.

I tend to be leery about corporate takeovers. A lot of companies have gone to hell after being bought out. Here are just a few examples:

• AT&T raised membership fees for and censored parts of the ImagiNation Network after buying it from Sierra On-Line. AOL began shutting down the service almost immediately after buying it from AT&T.
• MySpace became an extremely crappy website after it was bought out by Specific Media and Justin Timberlake.
• The once-respected Formspring became spammers after being acquired by Twoo.
• Yahoo! killed off the Games Domain brand less than 18 months after buying it.

The list goes on.

 

I'm also concerned that the new company may pressure Jagex to not punish gold farmers given the amount of RWT that originates from Asian countries.

I'm not sure if this is related, but the client lags really badly when I log in, although the lag usually goes away after a few minutes.

Over the years, there have been some updates that were not well-received by players. With that said, what is your favorite controversial update?

 

I'll start: mine would be bonds. I'm aware that they devalue the achievement of earning your own gold, but I really can't complain about not having to pay real money to get membership. A lot of us are also pretty busy in real life, and the ability to buy just two weeks of membership as opposed to an entire month at once is also a plus.

I feel incredibly stupid asking this, but it seems my Google-fu is failing. I frequently see this phrase being mentioned but have no idea what it means. The closest interpretation I could come up with is "share (the loot), I teleblocked (the victim)," but that's probably wrong. Can someone fill me in?

I came across a fishing spot and a rock occupying the same tile while in an Explorer's aura resource dungeon:

 

 

I don't know how often this happens, but it certainly seems rather unusual.

Jagex fixed this issue in the May 26 update. It's good that nobody else will be affected, although it's kind of annoying that the lost XP could have been used on one of the hard-to-train skills. On the other hand, I've been getting tons of smoldering lamps lately. Perhaps RNGesus saw the injustice and decided to make amends. :P

I just hit 2,100 skill total a few moments ago. It's probably not a big deal in today's standards, but multiples of 100 are always nice. :D

 

[bonus Loyalty Points?]

I was a member for a month last year and got 500 Loyalty Points as expected. I redeemed a bond for 14 days of membership a little over a week ago, and when I went to Solomon's General Store to collect the monthly free item for members, I noticed I had 3,500 Loyalty Points (some of which I spent on the super-useful Poison Purge aura) instead of the expected 1,000. I'm pretty sure players only accrue 500 Points during the first month of non-consecutive membership. So did I miss some sort of promotion?

I got a RuneScape Road Trip lamp and Wonder bar charge booster while in New Varrock after completing the introductory sub-quest of Dimension of Disaster. The lamp and booster disappeared from my inventory when I returned to the regular world; this was not unexpected because items obtained in New Varrock are supposed to remain there. However, the lamp and booster were nowhere to be seen when I returned to New Varrock. I talked to Mistress Fara and Diango, but neither of them gave me the items.

 

So are they gone for good? Or is there something else I must to do retrieve them?
