  1. This is a slight tip, if not a guide, on how to decant doses 1 to 4 of any potion in flasks.

I started out with Prayer flasks (doses 1 to 4, top of the picture), and three (4) dose Prayer potion vials, plus a (2) to make even flask doses at the end.

You may use any dose of potion vial you want, I just used (4) and (2) as an example.

Step one: Begin filling (6) flasks as you would normally, with your 1-4 dose flasks of the same potion type in your inventory.

    pf22.png

Use your empty flask on a Prayer potion vial, and then choose the number of (6) flasks you'd like to have.

About 3-12 seconds later, depending on number of flasks, your inventory should look something like this if done correctly:

Voila, you just decanted all those pesky (1-4) dose Overloads and Prayer renewals you were complaining about for 2 weeks.

It does NOT save flasks that the potions were in, and it will not work on potion flasks doses 5 or 6, because they are not equal to what a regular potion vial can hold. You can only end up with (6) dose flasks, not less. If you do not have enough doses for a (6) dose flask, including a max of one (4) dose flask, you will not fill the empty flask to (6).

I have not tried to use empty flasks on (1-4) dose flasks with no other potion vials in the inventory, so try it and see if it works. Though I doubt it will.

This is a guide purely to help reduce bank slots used, and make it worth saving your random dose flasks instead of emptying/dropping/letting them rot. I hope it helped anyone reading :).

If you find anymore info on this, feel free to post it and get your name on my thread, plus your info/correction.

  2. Alright, say you have about 12 (4) Sara brews in vials, and a bunch of (1-4)'s in flasks. IT DOES NOT WORK WITH 5+. MUST BE EQUAL OR LESS THAN A REGULAR VIAL. Get empty flasks. Start decanting the (4) vials into the empty flasks. You will notice that it uses the potion flasks with odd amount of doses in them. I'm not 100% sure on this, but it either breaks the flask it was in, or turns it into a vial.

    Try it out!

    I JUST SOLVED DECANT FLASKS

It makes me want to cry, how touching. I know how Witchery feels on the inside now.

WHAT THE HELLLLLLL, Anyone know if Jagex posted a new time for the fix?

    EDIT:

    Oh, there we go, alright.

We'll see...Sometimes these things crash twice..Don't hold your cards all in one hand!..or something like that.

When I got lured later on for Santa, I quit for a long time aside from random visits to troll people who still played the game that I got screwed over in.

Implying this was just in the past?

Have you noticed that you're in EoE, and EoE is always trolling me?

    Back off the thread plz.

    [/hide]

    You started it....*points finger*

I never started anything w/EoE except apparently compliment Kandy/Deo on speed in the past and got banned from your clan for it  .

I'm still having no luck with joining servers, is anyone else in the game ATM? Any tips..?

This seriously made this whole crash worth it.

  6. Omm...Tripsis swore.

In all seriousness Rend why not go do some housework or something constructive why you wait ? :P

I think I might, but this is better....I'm anti-efficiency after all.

  7. See rollbacks wouldn't be such a huge issue if they could just do it the same way they do exp resets... Why can't they do that? They should have some connectivity database or whatever, something to record whether or not a player's account truly was involved with the bug.. Like something to record actions (which is already done I believe), and then login details. Full IP, internet, times attempted, times successful, etc... That would make a lot more players pleased. I'm just glad that when I died for the first time on RuneScape it was with a new character. When I got lured later on for Santa, I quit for a long time aside from random visits to troll people who still played the game that I got screwed over in.

  8. Jagex shouldn't be blamed for "poor customer service" or "screwing up their game" etc. Sometimes things just go wrong and the only thing we can do is fix it, and that's what Jagex is currently working hard to do.

While I agree that shit happen happens and servers crash, I feel that Jagex doesn't handle them very well. Last crash, only weeks ago, people lost millions or everything if they were anywhere slightly dangerous. IIRC, it was fixed quickly and people were able to get back in-game in under 10 minutes but all graves were lost due to the necessary server reset. They could have rollbacked players those few minutes and but from the amount of forum posts, this was not a large scale crash and not many people were kicked off (compared to this one). So while rollback might be not a good solution...

I feel they should have a different solution by now. It's been 10 years now or however many years RS has been running. Instead, it's we get the typical "tough luck, enjoy losing your stuff" Jagex response.

That is definitely something harsh to hear. The last crash I was involved in was the "April 11th, 2011 - The day RuneScape died" one. I was in a dungeon and lost my binds, posted on the forums and whatever else they told me to do to get my binds back. They never gave them back, and I don't know why they have to do this "tough luck, we [bleep]ed up" thing. I feel like it could be due to the massive threatening and whatnot players do/have done with membership when it comes to people taking stuff away, now they just won't give it? Which really doesn't make sense to me. Again, they killed off about 150k+ players when they took FT/Wild. For a necessary reason, I know...

Damn it. Really. Just delete the post then. I didn't mean for it to come out as ranty but I guess it is. Rage.

*looks at your siggie* Does that apply to this situation?

I began to wonder about Jagex, but then I saw potential in my signature, and realised it was relevant almost every day I play RuneScape..

    On a side note..

    I knew I wasn't alone!

  10. My sympathies if you are upset that Runescape is down for a few hours. However, perhaps this will remind people about taking things for granted...

Yeh, I put in some items last night assuming they would sell even though they seemed to be crashing..Now I'm not quite sure. I take instasells for granted.. :(

What do you take for granted in RuneScape?

  11. This is definitely a heavy exaggeration. Just looking at the "login server offline issue:"

    • Shit happens. No piece of technology is perfect. Sometimes Tip.It goes offline, sometimes RuneScape has server problems.. it just happens. Jagex shouldn't be blamed for "poor customer service" or "screwing up their game" etc. Sometimes things just go wrong and the only thing we can do is fix it, and that's what Jagex is currently working hard to do.

    • People rage when RuneScape goes offline for an hour or two. I honestly find that so silly. RuneScape is fantastic when it comes to the servers being online and accessible. Let's look at other games.. games like WoW, Rift, LOTRO, SW:TOR all go offline regularly for hours of scheduled maintenance (usually once a week). We are so lucky that RuneScape doesn't have that. We get kicked offline for a few minutes when updates get applied and then once in a blue moon something fails and the servers go offline for an hour or two until Jagex can sort it out. We have very little to complain about.

They even removed their "Java Gaming Experts" thing from their website. I tried looking for 20 minutes and could not find it.

I have no idea what this has to do with the rest of your post.. but I will answer it for you. Jagex used to stand for "Java Gaming Experts" but prior to the release of War of Legends this was changed to "Just About the Game Experience."

Your other points about the developers and updates have some validity, but I don't see what they have to do with "the end of RuneScape."

On another note, I'm moving this to the Rants forum since that seems to be more appropriate.

Damn it. Really. Just delete the post then. I didn't mean for it to come out as ranty but I guess it is. Rage.

EDIT: No, forget that, I'm pissed. Leave it.

  12. I say you are over reacting a bit much. No system is perfect, which means something is going to fail at one point or another. Yes Jagex seems to have a lot of issues/missteps, but if you can not stand the issues/missteps then stop supporting Jagex by playing their game.

Tbh I used to always pay for membership, but once all this started happening, I cut back by over 70%. As in every year, since about '07.
