  1. I don't think your 3,000 GP Rule section works. If you take turns getting drops, after the first three people get theirs, how does the last person get his? If he's the only person in lootshare, all 4 people have an even chance at the drop. If one of the other people join, since lootshare isn't very "consistent", doesn't that mean one of them gets another chance at a drop before everyone's had one? Also, wouldn't it be unfair if one person gets Bandos Boots and the other person gets a Bandos Hilt?
  2. As that's impossible, OK. Me and a friend dharok'ed it down to 0 hp before it dug. It's possible. : It's possible to get it with 2-3 people. Jard lies a lot though so don't believe him. ;)
  3. I am seriously distraught by the amount of people who say luring is okay just because "They have the skill to do so" or "the people who are lured deserve it." I've posted before, and I believe others have to: WHETHER OR NOT YOU DESERVE TO BE LURED DOESN'T MATTER! If you're breaking a law or rule, you deserve to be punished for it, no matter whether the victim was stupid or not. As for saying it takes skill to lure: It takes skill to set up corporate frauds too. It takes skill to cheat thousands and thousands of employees out of their incomes. Enron still got punished for it when they got caught, did they not? (Sorry if I spelled the companies name wrong.) If you break a rule, you deserve to be punished. Rule 2 clearly says deceiving another player for their items is not tolerated. If you are LYING to someone, telling them you want to trade, when you're trying to kill them, you are deceiving them. Yes, it's partially their fault for being stupid enough to fall for it. I won't deny that. However, you STILL deserve to be punished for a violation of rule 2. Edit: Oh yea, before someone comes on and posts that "in that case pures are violations of rule 2 as well." The deception can not be blamed on the player. If the pure told you "I'm only 40 strength" when he's 90, that is a deception. But just because the code displays his combat level as low, and you assume that to mean he's weak, doesn't mean he is responsible for deceiving you.
  4. Not all pures are designed to fool people. I know for a fact that I never kept 1 defence to surprise people. In fact if they ask I'm perfectly willing to tell them my other stats. Many pures keep their levels low because otherwise they can only fight higher level people in the wilderness. There is no deception because you are not actually saying anything. Anything they do is based on a PRESUMPTION. Let's say I'm walking around wearing a green p hat. And WITHOUT ASKING ME, you hand me 500k and tell me to hold on to it for you for five minutes. And I leave with your money. There's no "deception" there. You ASSUMED I was rich and would be willing to help you with this, or not care about the money. It's the same way with pures. If you ASSUME they are weaker than you because of their combat level, it is not their fault. I even know pures who only keep 1 defence because they dislike the idea of the skill all together. Luring and pures are absolutely, 100% totally different issues.
  5. Since so many people are saying that "stupid people deserve to be lured", I thought I should bring up a similar real life situation. In New York, a young teenage woman goes to a party. Afterwards, she decides to walk home, alone, at midnight. On the way home she is sexually assaulted. Obviously, she was being foolish in going home alone at night in a potentially dangerous area. To tell the truth, she may have deserved being attacked. Whether or not she is at fault however, the rapist will most likely still be punished. The law punishes him for committing an unlawful act. A similar case. A person brought a PS2 in the car with him to play on his cars television. He leaves it in clear sight when he stops at a fast food restaurant for lunch. While buying his burger, a man breaks into the car and steals the PS2. Yes, it was the persons fault because he made a stupid choice in leaving his goods out in the open for others to see. Breaking a window and walking away with a $150 piece of equipment is quite a temptation, especially for those not quite wealthy. But does that mean it was legal for the thief to break in? Whether or not a person DESERVED to be lured is inconsequential. The law, or in this case, the rules, should be enforced, whether or not the victim was "deserving".
  6. So basically, no one would ever defend the void knight, and no one would kill spinners. That will DEFINITELY work out well. A damage quota isn't a fair measure of how much you are trying to help your team. At level 64 I typically deal at least a thousand points of damage a game. My level 120 friend does not use ancient magicks, and therefore has a hard time meeting 600 damage. This game is too complex to set a fair gauge of effort that can't be abused.
  7. I'm level 64. At my last PC game, there was a level 117 leeching more than I was... he got his 50 points and WATCHED the people try to kill the portal. Level is no measure of how effective you are in PC. It's much more based on what you're willing to do. As aforementioned, my combat level is quite low. However, I'm still able to inflict well over 1,000 damage a round through ancient magicks and chinchompas, clearing a path for the people to reach a crowded portal, or distracting spinners, or tearing apart the shifters that gather near the voidknight.
  8. From that guy who's wearing nothing and can't even defend himself (me), is there really a thrill? And you think 336 xp is good xp? That was a stupid reason. It's like you're going hunting, and kill a good lot of deers, and pass by a sleeping one. There's no thrill in shooting it. How do we know you don't have 2 party hat sets in your inventory? What if you just finished a clue and you have a robin hat and 4-5 pieces of rune armor? Maybe you accidentally brought 500k to wild instead of 5 cakes? I hunt down dragon slayers now. I used to only PK other pures but after several hours of conversing with a certain friend of mine, I've agreed with him a bit more. Here are my reasons for PKing at Green Dragons 1) Jagex put green dragons at the wilderness for a reason. They want PKers to make it more difficult, because these dragons are ridiculously easy and are so rewarding to kill. 2) The more I walk around there, the more autoers I see. Out of the dragon slayers I kill, 80% are autos. This means they fall into two groups: level 60-75 accounts with stupid names mostly made of numbers who walk the same path, never talk, and have slow reactions, and always wear 3 pieces of rune, anti-dragon shield, and adamant full helm, and level 40-50 accounts with stupid names, wearing msb, 200 bronze arrows, and no food, ranging green dragons from the same spot every time. People who can get away when attacked have earned their profit. Nothing should be easy, they have to EARN their money, EARN their prayer and crafting XP. And that means fighting tough monsters, OR fighting easier monsters and escaping my magic and blade as well as that of every other PKer who believes it is one's duty as a PKer to remove those who don't deserve these awards.
  9. I just added a few tips on using and gathering supplies for the salamanders.
  10. I actually found a faster way. Kill the cave slimes in lumbridge caves.
  11. No it doesn't. Correct, Antidragon shield has no effect on salamanders. Melee attacks give 4 xp per damage dealt, magic gives 2 xp per hit, and I believe range gives 4 xp a hit as well. And about the attacks looking the same, yes they are identical in appearance, but I think the sounds are slightly different.
  12. Well I just hopped around for about 2 hours today. I've killed a good 20 of them, EXACTLY like the ones last night except with different names. I think one might have been a real player though because he had 3k irons instead of the usual 100-300 bronze... :wall:
  13. No. Actually, the shots go into your quiver. 1 herb + 15 tar = 15 "arrows". And they're stackable and like arrows, you can equip as many as you want. And about the prayer noobs... yea, and for bypassing armor as well.
  14. Actually I didn't think of slimes. It turns out the only reason they were hard to get is the crowd, and so few people have been using mort myre so it's really easy to get there.
  15. Actually, with the people crowding around for it, if you want to get them in lumbridge swamps it's overcrowded and it'll take you forever. Most people don't realize Mort Myre swamp is filled of swamp tar spawns. :)
  16. Thanks. :) I'm looking forward to them too... cause these lizards rule.
  17. So... I'm really sick of seeing dragon scimitar and dagger pures who pray scimitars. When I made this RS account I intended never to PK with that combination. And now, what comes a long but a flamethrower that is built to penetrate both armor AND prayer? Well, I found some people training on red salamanders so I asked them to give me a few. I found a awesomely quick way to collect tar, and now I'm doing some tests on them. First test: Hypothesis: Strength mode counts as fighting with a standard weapon, using the strength bonus and level, while magic mode is like a spell, doing the same amount regardless of magic level. Test information (Me) 75 strength, super strength potion, Max hit 18 (40 tests) 82 magic, Max hit 18, (40 tests) (Friend) 89 strength, strength prayer 15%, Max hit 20, (20 tests) 92 magic, Max hit 20, (20 tests) Analysis: Right off the bat, it seems to me that the max hit with strength and magic are the same. This might be because of the fact we only tested such a low number of attacks with each. According to Tip.It's max hit calculator I should have been able to hit 21s with those circumstances. The weapon seems semi-accurate. It hits its fair share of 0s, especially with melee. However, with mage it seems to hit very accurately. The speed of the weapon is approximately the same as the scimitar. However, ALL modes have a range of 1, meaning you must be exactly adjacent to your target. Another interesting fact. I collected 120 tar in roughly 10 minutes. As the tar is selling 500 each right now, that's approximately 60k in 10 minutes or 360k an hour. Pretty amazing considering I'm level 62 with 1 defence and 13 prayer. I haven't drawn any conclusions yet. In my opinion, 120 shots total isn't enough to confirm any guesses as to how this strange weapon works. Back to the swamp I go. If anyone wishes to help test these salamanders, post your results here please. Just list max hit, number of shots, magic or strength level and circumstances. Thanks! Second Test Hypothesis: Maximum hit with melee is NOT affected by potions. 40 shots, No Potions or Prayer, Max hit 17 40 shots, Super attack and strength potion, 10% Strength Prayer, Max hit 22 Analysis: LOTS of good information. My hypothesis for this experiment was definitely wrong. Once I put on prayer and potions, my maximum hit even exceeded the maximum from the last experiment. This proves, strengthwise, potions, level and prayer DO matter. Very likely, my original hypothesis regarding how the lizard behaves as a standard melee weapon. That just leaves information needed on magic... Third test: Hypothesis: Magic is based on magic level. Therefore, strength and attack potions should not affect my maximum hit. 60 Shots, No potions or prayer, Max hit 18 Analysis: This was a pretty quick test. My maximum hit without potions is 18, the same as it was in the first experiment, WITH potions. Therefore, magic attack has NO affiliation with strength or attack levels. Miscellaneous facts: After it being pointed out, I tested it myself, and interestingly, the 3 attacks have different speeds. The attacks sometimes strike diagonally. I'm not sure why but it does. I've recieved 2 or 3 pms about where to collect swamp tar. My advice is to kill cave slimes. I'm 1 defence and I can kill them fairly easily. My friend with 80 defence collected 1k tar with just one monkfish, no antipoison. As for the herbs, collect them from chaos druids. Most of the herbs they drop are low level, so just save those herbs that you normally drop. :)
  18. Yea. I'm finding a lot of level 60-90 melee autoers now too. I didn't notice it at first but when I killed one four times, he kept walking back. Same way, same gear, every time. Same reaction when I attacked him, every time (walk around and eat and then walk south). So yea. My friends levle 75. He's ice barraging-blitzing and using a crystal bow, I'm ice blitzing and using DDS (Level 62) and were just shredding em.
  19. Anyone who wants to join, just go to the graveyard dragons and hop around. You'll find those level 40s standing in this place south of the trees.
  20. Well they didn't get them by auto-killing drags. Then they wouldn't be level 3. :P (I may have interpretted your post wrong lol.) I've honestly never seen an auto green drag killer. That seems incredibly weird to me - autoing in the wilderness? I don't get how that can be profitable for the autoer, constantly getting pked. :-s Well if they bring low cost, but efficient equipment... And the level 3s are used in order to protect against getting their main, who is autoing, banned. Auto dragon slaying doesn't surprise me as much as auto pkers. And I'm 100% sure. Either it was an auto or a four year old. He would walk 2 steps east, firebolt me, walk 2 steps north, bind me. Walk a few steps around me. Firebolt me again. Eat like 5 lobs right before I hit him... It was ridiculous.

But it's the only thing that made sense.
  22. Umm... probably not. I'm hopping worlds and killing them one after another... Should I stop? Lol.
