  1. Point is, high level bars used to make high level equipment that costs more should cost more to make as well. So, simplest solution? Need more coal per bar.

    Simple.

Not to mention, it probably would have looked just a bit strange if the higher level ores had the same smelting requirements as the lower levels. Not that I don't sometimes get irritated at the higher amounts of coal. But that's usually when I'm starting to run low the stuff and still have a ways to go.

  2. IPersonally, I like meeting new people (especially since almost everyone I was friends with when I started playing have quit ages ago, so if I want to play and do activities with others I generally need to meet new people). But, I'm also extremely introverted. That doesn't mean I'm antisocial, but it does mean that I find interacting with people exhausting; even people I've known my whole life and I am extremely comfortable with. In RL, I sometimes go for days or weeks without talking to anyone I know for more than a few minutes (or at all, if the circumstances lend themselves to it); I try to keep conversation with strangers to the minimum I can while still being polite and avoid it wherever possible. Most people I know understand that I get burnt out. So, when I'm playing RS and starting to feel burnt out from interacting with people, I set my private chat to 'friends' or even to 'off.' I don't think it's rude or arrogant to be self aware and to use that knowledge to better my quality of life.

    This.

Also, getting begged for money and/or things I am currently using gets old fast. Be it in either public or private chat. -.-

  3. Spybot Search & Destroy and Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware are both good programs.

They're also free for download off the internet and I know that at least the second has the option of paying for and registering it if your father thinks he must pay something.

  4. I feel that that's unfair to the players, who shouldn't be expected to hoard things in fear of being left behind come the next bonus weekend.

EDIT: I take that back; DIY'ers aren't affected to any significant degree as far as I can tell.

Well, we did have the little problem of a sudden surge of competition that made it harder to gather our usual supplies... Which led to having to try to do things at weird times at night in hopes of getting things done.

  5. You know what I just realized? Jagex released this skill with only like half of its content. What kind of a release is that? Sure they did it with summoning, but they thought that was good enough for quite some time, and did have followers up to like lvl 90. This skill stops like halfway through. I think it's ridiculous.

And sure, I know I'm being a little slow on the uptake with this, but whatever.

Which is part of why I'm waiting to start working on this quest. That, and waiting for the majority of the bugs and stuff to get ironed out. My willpower is weakening though. A lot of it is due to the thought of weeks of wasted Tears of Guthix that'd go towards this thing instead of something I'm actually working on. >_<

  6. Anyone know why this is happening?

I have 37 Dg, which should get me up to floor 19... but neither 18 or 19 shows up for me to complete...

    Did you lamp/buy the exp?

You can't use lamps/ToG/etc on this skill yet.

When you trade in tokens for exp, the graphic representation is a lamp.

Well, I understood it to mean the usual genie lamp from the random events. Hence, my response.

  7. No direct affect on me since I only use RSOF for Canada's penguin threads. I can see how this will for one, confuse a lot of people, and two, frustrate and put a lot of people off from using them again.

    Long live TIF!

I also pretty much just use it for her threads. (Being called a troll elsewhere for daring to like something Jagex did has kinda put me off wanting to do anything with the rest of the forums. <_< )

  8. And having to leave shouldn't be a problem for anyone, since the annoying long process of actually getting out of the damn place ensures you get xp for the progress you made in the dungeon, which is quite a fair amount from what i've seen.

It can be a problem if the reason you have to leave is because an emergency comes up that requires you to leave the computer. Or possibly something more minor but no less needed like having to take a bathroom and/or food break.

  9. My thoughs exactly, but one thing i liked from the event was tehf actory management, if they made a minigame based on it, i'd be gratefull actually.

Actually, unless I'm mistaken, it's based on a mini-game already in the game called Manage Thy Kingdom.

  10. When I mine in Keldagrim, worldhoppers keep showing up to take the ores. I once counted three within ten minutes of each other. <_< (I'm one of those that mine for own use instead of profit, BTW.)

    1. Use a timer.

    2. How do you smith rune at your level?

I don't. I'm just mining the ores so I'll have them already banked for when I do have the level. Besides, when I'm in that mine, it's for the Addy ores. ^_^; Along with the gold as something to mine while waiting for the addys to respawn.

  12. You may want to think about doing 'Back To My Roots', 'Forgiveness Of A Chaos Dwarf', and 'Toktz-Ket-Dil'.

The first gives you access to a mini-game you need for Ardy diary if you're interested in completing it and there's also a little mini-quest attached that you can do during/after that gets a wizard buried and nets you some magic xp and runes.

The other two unlock mining locations you may want to sometimes use if you need or want a break from the usual spots you use. Assuming you mine, that is.

    Hi

Regarding where and how to obtain the various stones, then i recall to have read (i can't remember where though !) that people should try to get them in places where they would be found "naturally" - ie. while fishing with a net or a lobster pot or behind a low wall (agility) or while doing some farming or mining some ore - i think we can all agree that there is absolutely nothing wrong with any of them - one could actually be lucky enough to find a stone in one of those places.

Well, that makes perfectly sense to me and i went a long with that until sat down and thought the rest of the "concept" through and this is where it all goes so WRONG !

Let me give you a few examples:

    1. You cook a nice little fish and you were looking forward to a nice dinner when all of a sudden the fish turn into a stone ! (you look in the cookbook once more to ensure yourself that you DID follow the recipe !)

    2. You happily stringing a few bows when all of sudden one of them turns into a stone !

By now i think you all get the picture.

What is it that i'm trying to say (a "few" of you might ask...) - well, i think that Jagex has really shot themselves in the foot (or is it feet ?), because how will they justify that only some actions will yield a stone ?

Why can't i get a stone while cooking a potato or while crafting tiaras ? :wall:

They can hardly use the argument that it is not natural, because having a fish turn into a stone while you cook it is not natural either ! :shame:

The bottom line is that i think players should be able to obtain the stones while doing any of the actions that is possible under the various skill.

What does the rest of you think ?

Yeah, I was a bit miffed about a yew long turning into a rock. I was intending to high alch it. >_<; (I did have an empty spot open. It filled and the second one came along before I could stop cutting and store the one I'd gotten.)

You guys really gonna complain about losing 437gp in favor of several thousand exp?

Seriously if you're really that cheap just turn the rocks off at varrock museum.

Dude, I'm already at level 80 Fletching, which is good enough for me right now. I only bothered to get that high because of Seers' diary, tbh. Also how do you think I level up my magic? (Hint: Not combat.) If I had any idea I'd get both rocks in less than one inventory load, I'd've left two spots open. And I don't want to turn off the rocks. I have other skills I actually need/want the xp in. And I actually lost more money than that since I make my own nats/get them as drops.

Which reminds me. I really should hurry up and finish getting enough ess collected/mined to start on my next rcing spree. Both for the sake of getting those rocks and to build my supply back up/gain xp.
