  1. That makes even less sense, since, barring dust devils or abby specs, you can tell if someone's on-task because they're wearing a slayer helm. If they're not, they aren't on-task. And the standard response to "[skill]?" is, as far as I know, "[my level in skill]" which still doesn't tell you that.

I guess I'm never on task then, because I don't have a Slayer helm.

Then you're doing it wrong. Black masks are only ~2m. No slayer should be without one.

I am not paying two mil for a mask. And even if I was willing, I don't have the bank space.

  3. - When monster camping, such as with spiritual mages or abyssal demons, it's not really that great a hardship to get out of a slayer's way, and it only takes a simple question: "slayer?" to ascertain whether you should move into a different area to camp (or indeed, whether the slayer should change worlds.)

Uh...what does this mean? What is "slayer?" supposed to mean? How does it tell you whether you should move? Why should you move at all? Either I'm missing something, or this just doesn't make sense.

It basically means the person is checking if the new arrival is there for a task or if they're just there to camp. In other words, if they actually need to have at least one spawn to his or herself. At least, that's the way I understand it.

  4. I know there at least had been a post for this, but I can't find it. -_- It's probably someplace stupidly obvious that will result in me feeling dumb for not seeing it. Anyway!

I caught a Spirit Impling and it gave me a couple of noted Ruby Harvests. I thought you'd want to know so you can update the drop list. I also got a vulatrice egg earlier, but didn't know it wasn't on the drop list so I didn't save a screenie of it before selling the thing. Sorry.

  5. Dont forget you can grow fruit trees, then go and pick the fruit say once a day for a little extra money

How long do the fruit trees last for?

Are you referring to how much fruit they produce each time? My pineapple trees don't give too many, maybe 5-10 pineapples at a time.

No I meant do the trees ever stop producing fruit? Or do they always replenish?

They always get new fruit. Of course, you have to give them some time between trips... Don't ask me how long though. I don't know. I only wander past my trees once a day.

  6. I also play with public set to either friends or off. Since for some reason, I don't care about the levels of random strangers. Nor do I care about (general you) your homework/schoolwork woes. Nor do I want to deal with people's bad spelling. (Here's a little hint, it's 'what', not 'wat'.)

  7. Oh boy... I giggle to think of what the author will feel when attempting Mourning's End's part 2's Agility obstacle. Now THAT'S what I call frustration unless you have 70+ agility...

I agree! I did that quest at 60 Agility. In all, it took me roughly 8 hours to do that quest. <_<

I think I did that quest at the minimum possible agility (I think 50 something), and I swear, I wanted to rip something apart haha.

You guys are making me glad I haven't done that quest yet. XD; (I'm waiting until I can store the mourner's outfit in my POH.)

  8. An ordinary person gains experience and intellect as they age. You don't need to fall for EVERY single trap once before you realize that 0h shi- this is a trap/scam.

Of course you don't. But that doesn't mean that someone isn't going to fall for it once. For some people that's the best way to learn how to avoid it.

I simply cannot believe anyone over the age of 13 is going to be this naive.

Then why do you use the example of someone reporting hundreds of reports and not getting modded? Are you not implying that once someone reaches a number of reports numbering in the hundreds they should get promoted into a mod?

It's not always a case of someone being naive. It may simply be a case of mental capability because I used to know someone who would fall for that sort of thing. Not her fault. (Not that she should or does play on RuneScape.)

  9. Hi

I was wondering if ZMI is the best way for runecrafting, if so, what is the average xp/hr and is there profit from the random runes i get? im lvl 53 rc

I also have a question on construction, is there any 'skill' to it, or is it just easy or for those rich people who can buy infinite planks, it just doesnt seem like theres any simpler and inexpensive method w/o spending a good amt of gp, and there seems to be no real dedication of time rather than running back and forth, so in gist..... is there any way to lvl it besides endless oak planks?

    thanks!

    A friend of mine prefers ZMI for runecrafting, but I prefer to do nature runs. I have no idea about profits though; I make runes for personal use. ^_^;

Using penguin points, xp lamps, and doing the quests that reward you with Construction xp all help. As does Shattered Heart.

  10. I always thought they were placed in locations which allowed for many different uses for a single ring. It seems stupid to just pop one down at every farming location.

We don't want them at all of them. That's the only patch I find annoying to get to and there's only a couple I use on a regular basis anyway. (Using low-level seeds I don't really care too terribly much about so it won't be a tragedy if something dies. Annoying, yes. FML-worthy, no. I save those seeds for when I get a large enough block of time to keep a relatively close eye on them while doing something else between checking for disease/replanting limps.)

...That just went into more detail than intended. Ah well.

  11. I never said I cared, I never said I reported people for this, I never said I don't AFK.

I'm just pointing out that it IS a rule that COULD be reported by some idiot.

Saru, I myself call people noobs, I swear a decent amount, I AFK myself, etc.

In the last year, the only reports I have made were a few at green drags with blatantly obvious bots, and one against someone who was talking incessantly about "potty" stuff, whom I asked over ten time to stop as well as a clan chat mod asking him to stop as well.

And while I think that what you do for "AFK", Saru, is completely fine, I'm just letting people know the possible danger of it.

One other thing, I only report people for botting when they don't respond to public, they don't respond to trade, don't respond to private, and act in a jerky/unnatural way that a player would not.

I am not a wannabe mod.

...I normally keep all three of those turned off/on friends. And I'm sure I'm not the only one.

  12. Okay. Although I'm not planning on selling the results. I'm a DIY player that plans to use the herbs I get. >_> So it looks like I'll be hanging onto them for the specters and banshees then. Thank you.

  13. Is Herbcall worth using? I have a bunch of Macaw pouches left over from ages ago and would like to know if I should bother turning some of them into scrolls to use. Otherwise, I'll either just sell them on the G.E. or swap 'em for shards; whichever is more worthwhile.

  14. Well I have 6 fm brawlers banked. If double xp weekend incorporates into that. I could easily get 99 fm. then use the rest of my brawlers. 8X exp would be pro.

*I wasn't here for the last weekend. I don't know if it works like that or not*

If they do it like last time, it won't stack.

  15. You do realize that you don't have to drop anything, right? Just clear out enough space by sticking some of your banked items in your inventory and adding it back in as you work your way through anything that needs going through. (Cleaning herbs, picking through nests, opening chests, etc.)

  16. I pick up my coin drops. Along with other people's. It adds up after awhile and I always have at least a few coins on me. Sure I get stuff from MTK and other things that other people sell for huge profits but I tend to use/keep most of what I get. (I'm one of the people that money just... happens to. Granted, it takes forever for me to get any as a result...)
