  1. Every AMD processor I've purchased came with a fan. So unless the website you're buying from is evil........
  2. I wouldn't know why that would have happened... I don't use saved passwords. Though I think that key3.db contains the passwords, then there's another one for the master password. Are you sure you copied everything? BTW, if it ever asks you to create another profile: Close the profile manager, then press control + alt + delete, and click processes > select firefox[Caution: ExecutableFile] and then end it's unfortunate life... Oh yeah, then you can start it again - of course.
  3. In windows xp: Go to C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\. Click on the folder called "xxxxxxxx.default" (xxxxxxxx is some random letters / numbers). Copy the file "bookmarks.html". Paste it in the other folder in the profiles directory.
  4. Run firefox with the -profilemanager options. In windows, it would be start > run > firefox[Caution: ExecutableFile] -profilemanger (you might need to add the full path: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox[Caution: ExecutableFile] -profilemanger) BTW, something I find useful is using firefox -p "profile name" to start firefox with that profile - very useful for running release and Deer Park together... replace the 3's with x's, obviously.
  5. You mean like running a program off a flash card / drive, right? It usually depends on the program. If it needs some configuration files or registry keys, then it probably will not. Firefox, for example, would (it saves your profile on the hard disk though... there is a version that will save it on the card though.... I think it's called peer to peer networking... don't trust me on this though. Not sure if all devices support it.
  6. Is there a password for the Administrator account? (if there's not, that's pretty sad... :? ) If there isn't, or you know it, you can press control + alt + delete at the login screen (when no one is logged in) and type Administrator as the user. (not sure if this works on the home edition....) BTW, If you do get into an admin account, I wouldn't change your account to admin.... It's safer to run as a limited user (evil programs can do less b0rkage)
  7. Are you sure you didn't block anything with runescape.com in it? I had the misfourtune of doing that once. This same thing happened.... Go to Tools > Adblock > Prefences and check.
  8. It is possible that you use a proxy... Go to this in internet explorer: Tools > Internet Options > Connections > Click on whatever it says in the list of connections, then click settings. Here, check if "Use a proxy server for this connection...." is checked. Note: if you use broadband, instead of choosing something from the list and clicking settings, just click LAN settings instead. If you do use a proxy, then I'll explain how to set it up in firefox (it takes about 2 minutes), but if you don't, I don't want to bother typing instructions.
  9. user.js just creates entries in about:config.... It also keeps them there when you update firefox.
  10. I've seen better in non-browser Java games....
