Pirates of the Caribbean 3: At World's End, rated PG-13, in theatres May 25th, 2007. As the age of piracy comes to a close, Captain Barbossa, Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann must sail off the edge of the map, navigate treachery and betrayal, and make their final alliances for one last decisive battle. Our heroes must face Lord Cutler Beckett, Davy Jones, Admiral James Norrington, and Sao Feng, a new villian, in a titanic showdown that could eliminate the freedom-loving pirates from the seven seas -- forever. At the end of Dead Man's Chest, Will Turner, Elizabeth Swann, and their company find refuge with Tia Dalma, who offers the opportunity to embark on a journey to rescue Captain Jack Sparrow from his watery grave. Tia Dalma announces the need for a captain that will guide them to "worlds end", prompting the appearance of Captain Barbossa, believed to have been dead. The second film ended there. Tia Dalma, who resurrected Barbossa after he had been killed in the first film, helps Sparrow find rebirth. The ensemble joins forces to rescue Captain Jack Sparrow and Bootstrap Bill Turner and defeat the alliance between Davy Jones, Cutler Beckett, admiral James Norrington, and a new enemy, Sao Feng. Jack Sparrow is also antagonistic towards Barbossa. According to director Gore Verbinski, "Piracy itself is at stake. It's like the railroad coming to the West. There will be a conference of the world's pirate leaders and a treacherous journey to the literal 'worlds end'." Also, Keith Richards has agreed to appear in a cameo as Jack Sparrow's father. He has been pursued for a cameo appearance since the first installment of the series. I can't wait.
