Hehe now if we let everybody post their events in General Discussion to get more attention, we wouldn't have this forum at all :wink: We need more information about your event. Where will it be hosted - what location and what server? When will it be hosted - what date and time (include as many time zones as you can)? Before we start, mods, i know this should be in the events and gathering page, but the general page normally has more people, so i think this would be a better place. If you absolutely MUST move it.... fine. History: I'm not exactly what most people would call "new" to tip.it, but all of my posts have been bad. Flamed to hell, locked, moved, locked after i got it unlocked :wall: , and sometimes just generally bad topics. But the great thing about tip.it is it's community. It's much bigger then most people would expect. which is perfect for this post. I want to give something half decent to tip.it for once, and hopefully, this will be it. Idea: For the past few days i have been bored out of my skull. So... i decided to make this post. Quinton595's midsummer holiday event. I'm not a official part of TET, so i decided what the hay, and I'm organizing my own event! :D There will be two main activities, followed by a HUGE drop party that will hopefully have at least 100 people. I'm hopping for 200 or more. Those activities will be named "Quinton's midsummer x-mas" "Hide and go seek, Quinton style" and "Beautifying Runescape - one patch at a time" (^ '.')> The Events!!! <('.' ^) In order from first to last. "Hide-and-go-seek, Quinton style" This event will be like the tip.it find me event. Actually.. its the same thing =P My friends Tyler moizis, bobt1995, wildkyle777, and marstron will be your targets, and I will be your host. For the first round, everyone will meet At the Varrock central fountain. My friends will of already be hidden by then, and when i say go.......go! If you manage to find them, they will ask you a riddle, if you answer it correctly, you will get the prize, the prizes vary from cash, to items, to food, to pots. Then next round will be the same thing, but in east Ardy. And the third round will be Ice Mt. and Falador. Before you click on this button, the green lines are the boundary's in the map, and the pink X is the meeting point where the game will start and stop. Re-read the guide, noticed how i enlarged the part saying that theres a button to switch from 1st to 3rd. and vice versa. And ers of all, if someone sneaks up on u, sooner or later, ud sneak up on someone else

First, I really do wish that RS had that ability. :) Second, there are at least 2 problems with it (at the present time) 1) All PCs, NPCs, monsters, etc would need to be completely remade. The facial, etc detail is just not there. That would be a huge resource drain on RS. If AG and Company ever decided to do a RS3, then they could implement a new graphics engine and try it. But, right now, in RS, it would take developmental resources away from the game for relatively little benefit. 2) Display Framerate would drop waaay down. First person view means that you could see all the way to the very distant horizon. That means that, potentially, thousands of additional new polygons need to be displayed on your poor PC. RS graphics work "well" now because the view is restricted to a very "small" number of objects. Hence, the displaying of objects can be fast. Other first person view games handle the problem by either: misting the air in the zone (swamp), or by putting in lots of view blocking walls, or by implementing a distance view clipping plane (RS "does" this already) Otherwise, a place like the Varrock west bank would turn into a stalled lag-fest. Part of the appeal of RS to new players is the speed in which new players can be up and running. The simple 3rd person view is part of that speed. 2 good points but i dont expect this to happen anytime soon because of what you said =)

Wow. You have to love the reasoning and the whole people on Mars thing. Sending people to Mars has nothing to do with a java RPG. Using that logic: We can send people to the Moon so therefore we can end world hunger. but..he..who...where..he...what......DAAAAAAAAAAAANG #-o lol :D It's a nice idea, but it simply cannot be done. Perhaps in RS3.

it would totally OBLITERATE non-combat clothes, and hal of the reason for verac's... it would totally OBLITERATE the point of the newest update. Wow you thought this one through :-X RIGHT! i forgot to add something! thnx for reminding me, IT would be optional, like a button that ud use to go 1st person and back to 3rd person

I was standing in the taverly dungeon, ranging a blue drag.. a then all of a sudden, i got this idea that made me smile like never before. "What if Runescape had 1st person view" :shock: :shock: :shock: (for all you people out there that have no idea what first person view is, its when you see what your character sees. Runescape is 3rd person view, because u can see your person's body.) There would be a button that you'd click and then you'd go first person, and a button to go back to 3rd person if u wanted to. Think about it. Tz-harr, looking in all directions, red and black EVERYWHERE. Wildy, staring in the pk-er's eyes. Karamja island, during the winter holiday, with snow EVERYWHERE Inside the varrock west bank. (a very nice bank btw) keldagrim, with black stone all around you. In a p.o.h :D (my fave, can be very scenic) Just chillin with your friends. Add lastly, fighting off that big old Elvarg, with him staring you down, breathing fire all over you... It would open up a new dimension that you cant go to in real life. (medieval times) it would add a certain level of "roomyness" and "cosyness" But... all dreams come with a catch. Memory. To update how a monster looks, it takes memory on the jagex system. But to make something as complicated as adding 1st person view! :shock: good lord that will take a TON of memory. All that i would like people to say, is "i support", or, "I dont support" And of course, you can give your own opinion. A whole new dimension.............A whole new world. LOL dont jinx it : In my opinion, if you cant stand the heat, get out of the oven. even if your facing a lv 50, and ur lv 70, it is still possible for u to die. lagg, miss-click, distraction etc. if you dont want to lose ur valuable stuff, dont take it. :D

I once logged in only to find myself in lumby ( and i wasnt there before) so i quickly realised OMG! IVE BEEN H3Cxed!! I go to my bank. open it up.. and nothings gone except for my full rune.... i was like wtf? f2p scammer or something? i had a few mill worth of stuff in my bank and he didnt take.. i also had 500k cash (only 500k cause i just bought alot of steel bars) and he didnt even take that! i was like.. wow... that was a dumb scammer... :D
