As an aside, my character seemed to carve through the warriors like mowing down hay (a few wallops with a whip), while more strikes were required to bring down the mages. Perhaps the mages have a higher defense score against slash attacks. Keep in mind that this evidence is only anecdotal and by no means quantitative, nor even qualitative.

I camped the two Zamorak mage spawns in the southwest corner for an hour. There is a Zamorak warrior spawn near them, so I also killed many warriors. A few Zamorak rangers strayed past me chasing crafters, so I killed them as well. I also killed the Zamorakian crafters as they returned from the altar. Here are the types of drops I collected in a one-hour period: Level-82 Zamorak mages: 100%: bones variable drops: 100 gold 2 laws 6 waters 7 fires 5 airs 2 natures 1 blood Level-84 Zamorak warriors: 100%: bones variable drops: 100 gold steel dagger steel scimitar rune dagger rune scimitar 3 lobsters (cooked and not noted) level-82 Zamorak rangers: 100%: bones variable drops: 100 gold 10 steel arrows willow bow (I cannot recall if it was short or long) Level-19 Zamorakian crafters as they made their return trip from the altar: 100%: bones variable drops: 3 souls 5 waters 3 natures 4 chaos 2 fires 50 gold 2 natures 5 airs All in all, the warriors yielded the best drops. Alch'ing the two rune daggers and two rune scimitars I collected from them more than paid for the Karils repair costs.

The ignorance of some noobs is remarkable, especially given that the online community has an abundance of runescape knowledge available. I generally ignore most of them, but sometimes I just can't help myself. Here are some of my better moments. I wish I'd taken screenshots of these conversations. Noob: Can i have wep? me: Sorry, the only extra weapon i have is a howitzer. me: You're not at a high enough level to wield a howitzer. Noob: Oh. And away he went... Another time, I had a goblin following me as part of a quest (those who've completed it know which one I'm talking about) and I had several folks ask me how I got the goblin to follow me around. The first several received a clear, definitive answer, but I got tired of explaining myself and just went about my business while ignoring most people's questions. One guy wouldn't stop following me. He tagged along for a good 4-5 minutes, pestering away... noob: How u get that to follow u? Noob: How u get that? Noob: How u get that? Noob: How u get goblin? Noob: How u get? Noob: How u get? Another day, I was killing dogs in McGrubor's Wood as part of another slayer re-assignment (thanks again, Turael), when this dude stops at the other side of the fence. Noob: Wat u get? me: ? me: Get what? Noob: Wat u get from killing them? me: Demon-summoning cards. Noob: Can i have some? me: Nope, sorry dude. I need them for a quest. Noob.
