Reading
Just bought the three Science of Discworld books, Science of Discworld, The Globe, and Darwin's Watch. They pretty much go between one story chapter, and one science chapter, which is pretty awesome. Finished the first one, in which the wizards accidentally created the universe, and Earth. :3 The science stuff is really interesting too. Also onto the second book of the second Sparhawk trilogy by David Eddings, The Shining Ones. They're so awesome. >_< I love the characters in them. And, finally, almost finished Darkfall, by Isobelle Carmody. Pretty interesting stuff, I suppose. First of a trilogy. And after these, I've got the Earthsea Quartet, by Ursula Le Guin to read, and the Chronicles of Thomas Covenant by Stephen R. Donaldson. From the synopsis I've read, it sounds pretty interesting, but I'm worried about the readability of it, kinda. One of his other series were pretty hard to read initially, but once it got rolling, it was pretty awesome, and my cousin said that this one was kinda similar to that. So, yeah.

Real life help & advice
There is no fixed air temperature for frosty breath. As meteorologist Tom Skilling explains, two factors determine whether we can see our breath in cold weather: temperature and humidity. Exhaled air has relatively high amounts of moisture from our lungs. When this warm, moist air is chilled, the moisture condenses. The exhaled air is chilled below its saturation temperature, or dew point. For big dramatic clouds of frosty breath, it helps to have humid air. Why? This stops the condensation cloud from evaporating too quickly. The water droplets will last longer in moist air, because the air is already fairly saturated. Here's a nifty piece of frosty breath movie trivia, courtesy of IMDb. The outdoor shots in "Dog Day Afternoon" were filmed during the winter, but the story was supposed to take place during the summer. So to make their breath less visible, the actors held ice in their mouths before filming. Go go Google Rangers! /flex :3 Well, it does have to be cold otherwise the moisture from your breath wouldn't condense in the first place. Hmm I don't know about the humid air part. If air is humid, it's got move water vapour in it. If the air is already saturated with water, the air should be warmer. The actual "fog point" is based on relative humidity [relative humidity is based on temperature] as the solubility of gas in liquid is based on temperature -- cool air holds less moisture. So, if it's more humid, it'll take more temperature to see your breath. If it's a lower humidity it'll take lower temperature to see your breath. It's all about the partial pressure AND temperature differentials inside and outside your mouth. Hey! Stop knowing about stuff. That's cheating. D:

Oh oh, also: "Paranoia is a precaution. Obession is logistics. Sociopathy is a weapon. Depression is inevitable. Only we are sane enough to be insane." The slogan of my friend's faction in our fictional universe. They're kind of a 1984-esque distopian war place. They're crazy. /nerd :3

Maybe if you hit their eye... Well that basically tells me it wouldn't. Well, guess I'd just have to use my trusty metal bat. Well, if you could pass it off as a real gun, you could intimidate them until they leave. Or you could wait until they're thoroughly terrified and smash them in the face with the butt of the gun.

Made slightly less poignant by you vomiting all over his shoes. :3 Or trying to hug him and getting tazed. But seriously, that's pretty cool. Esp. because you were drunk.
