  1. No you Zach. And I'll be cutting Ivy for Wc. I was originally planning on getting my ADZE finally and doing yews, or teaks (depending on if I want money or speed). However, with Ivy, it's just so easy, it's hard to pass up. I'll be missing out on a lot of Fm xp, but I'll live. I don't have many pouches/ess anymore. I had about 150k essence (all I could afford at the time) at level 85, and then used it all up getting 91 in 2 weeks. I currently have about 24k essence and 90 pouches left. I won't be doing any hardcore Rcing for a while, as I'll be busy at school, but I may get 92 here soon at least. And I believe there was a corrupted hive file, for no reason, and it screwed up windows for me. So we restored windows (backed up my important data), and started fresh. Although I also had a problem with my CD Drive, as it wouldn't read CDs for some reason. Apparently, there's a common problem with the CD Drives in my model of laptop. So I just ended up buying an external DVD Drive today, which works fantastically. And I was finally able to get all my software and drivers on, minus one program (which is having errors, for some reason).
  2. o ty guise So I was without my computer for about 2 weeks because it died on me and had to get it fixed. Really sucked while at school :( But it's back! Had to restore windows, so I'm downloading everything back on to my computer. Ugh.
  3. Thanks everyone :) I thought I would be sick of RCing now, and... That definitely isn't the case. I've been doing nothing but RCing nats heh. Well, I'm sick of ZMI I guess, but not RCing in general. Made around 40k nats so far.
  4. Well, to finish the year, I just achieved 91 Runecrafting. Got it on December 31st, 2009. I was level 85 at the beginning of my winter break, and really wanted to finally get it, so I did a ton of ZMI in order to do it. Gained about 2.6m xp in about 2 weeks (2 and a half with a 4 day vacation). I also got 2250 total with this level. Anyways, here it is. And now, I will show my 99s of this year, in order of achieving them. So that's eight 99s in 2009, which is quite good for me, considering I only had three 99s prior to 2009. And a comparison in stats and experience, I will show the first picture I took of the year, on January 3rd, which was a Runemonkey picture showing over 1m xp in one day (which was my first day with that much experience... I later smashed that with 2.9m, but whatever, lol). And now my adventurer's log. And Djay, you get some spotlight, for killing Bork :P I also achieved 85+ all stats, and managed to buy a purple partyhat at about 86m when they first began to rose a while ago, and I've kept it since. I am planning on probably selling it in 2010 to help afford some stats. But I'm not entirely sure yet. I've also managed to get 1 visage, 9 whips, 5 dragon skirts, 2 dragon legs, 2 half shields, 2 dragon meds, 17 dragon boots, 2 dark bows, and 1 Kalphite Queen head. Not too much for a year, but I haven't done too much hardcore slaying for a while. So there you have it, one pretty dang good year for me. Will be getting 99 Wc next, and will probably go for 99 Fishing after that. But not sure otherwise of what to do, besides RCing every so often when I can. And also, here's a link to the video guide I made about ZMI. I've recorded 55,062 xp/hr as my best xp rate, at 88 Runecrafting. I bet I could top that now, but oh well. Anyways, I also have some other short video guides on my Youtube account. Take care everyone, and have a happy new year. Hopefully 2010 will be a great year.
  5. Finally got 91 Runecrafting! Double natures :D Took about 2 and a half weeks, with a 4 day vacation in there, and a few days where I didn't rc at all, and got ~2.6m experience. Was hard on me, since I hate ZMI, but it was a fast way to get it, and I needed that. I also got 2250 total with it. Here you go, my last major achievement of the year.
  6. Posting a picture finally! Just got 394k Runecrafting experience today, bit of a nolife, and got myself 90 Runecrafting! Just 549k and 1 more level until double natures :)
  7. I would like to state again, you stop failing Barbarian Advanced at 93 Agility, not 92. Must have missed me saying that :P
  8. No problem! :) Heya Codguy, could you add me ingame? I'd like to ask you some questions about your method :) (Name: Xxyy44) Great guide! Yeah, feel free to add me. I always keep my private chat on, so anyone can message me.
  9. Been a little while since I have updated this blog... I'm not sure where to start haha. I have all the pictures of level ups, but... Too lazy to be honest. So since I last posted, I have gained the following levels: 1 Hunter (85) and 1 Agility (85) levels, which made all my stats at 85+! 3 Wc levels, and I am slowly going for 99 Woodcutting now. Easy skill, and I take a break between each level, so that I can get some other stuff accomplished as well as the Woodcutting levels. So currently 93/99 right now, will get in a month or two most likely. 1 Slayer level (91) 5 Prayer levels (90) which made me obtain 136 combat! 2 Smithing levels (88) so now I can make full Adamant, which means the best training method now :) 1 Firemaking level (90)... I hate this skill, just 2 more (banked Eucs) levels for ADZE... And finally, 4 Runecrafting levels. 86 Rc was done via Natures, after the update that allowed for more than 1 nature per essence prior to being 91+ Rc. After 86, I've been doing ZMI to get to 91 Runecrafting before my Winter break is over. As of now, I am 89 Runecrafting, with about 940k xp to go for 91. So right now working for 91 Runecrafting and 99 Woodcutting. Which will easily be obtained, soon enough. Also, with some experience with Runecrafting at ZMI, I decided to make a short video guide about it. My current record is 55,062 xp in one hour, at 88 Runecrafting. It's not the fastest possible, but it's still pretty fast. So here's a link to my video on youtube, and you can also see a few of my other video guides from my channel. And finally, I would like to wish you all a merry Christmas! I've gotten everything I want, including some items that I hadn't asked for, and really like :D Four movies, a music CD, a bunch of chocolate, an Oregon State scarf and jacket. All is well :) And just to keep it updated... 2247/2376 total. 129 more levels to go.
  10. You stop failing Barbarian Advanced Course at level 93. Also this can yield a maximum of 69.8k xp/hr if you're perfect, but, that won't happen, so think more along the lines of 62-68k xp/hr depending on concentration. Ape Atoll rates at 75+ can give 50-53k xp/hr on average, up to ~54.5k xp/hr. Gnome Advanced Course can yield a maximum of 68.4k xp/hr, but more realistically, 60-65k xp/hr on average, depending on concentration once again. Just a few things to consider. Also, work a bit on grammar, capitals, etc. One example, sorta, should be sort of. And instead of all capitals, maybe use [bold] or something else, to make it look more formal, rather than shouting.
  11. So I was thinking about this, and decided to try it out to see what my experience rates were. And this was with NPC Contact and 75+ RC, using Giant, Large, and Medium Pouches. Roughly 4 times to repair pouch ~15 seconds each, or about a minute spent repairing your pouch during an entire hour. I was averaging about 38 seconds per trip, getting as low as ~35 seconds, and topping around 40 seconds. 3540 seconds / 38 seconds = 93.15, or ~93 trips to the altar. Make 45 Smoke Runes per inventory. 93*45 = 4,185 ess 4,185 ess*9.5 exp = 39,757.5 exp/hour A little bit rough, as I rounded a bit when timing, etc. But think of 40k xp about max, which is what you thought. Now in order to achieve these rates, you'd need to switch out your necklace after 14 uses (7 runs, or 14 charges on duelling rings). But whatever lol. Now finally, after thinking about it, I realized that even better would be Steam Runes. They're 10 xp, rather than the 9.5 that Smoke Runes are, and the only difference you'd make is using water runes. Yes, water runes are a bit more expensive, but so are steam runes. You'd lose a little bit of profit with steam runes, but we're talking about another ~2.1k exp added to that rate. Or nearly 42k xp/hr. So another thing to consider.
  12. For the last time, it is the personal preference of the author of this guide to use the row setup, and she clearly wrote that it was her preference, as well as lots of things in the guide. It's a guide to help, not a guide to tell you exactly what to do. You're making a huge hissy fit about one little tiny aspect of this whole guide. Maybe a simple request to have it be put in the guide would be nice, but you've really taken this whole ordeal way out of context.
  13. IF you are using a familiar then yes it is better, however if you dont have the ability, or are using a different familiar (such as a terrorbird) for some unknown reason, sticking with 3 is better. And if by pouch set up you mean me keeping my pouches in the second to last row of my invantory, then that again is personal preferance. I find that clicking and nto having to move my mouse again to empty is faster for me and that has transfered over into my guide. However if you find this to not work as well for you as it does for me, by all means do it your way. This guide is in no way set in stone, it is for help and assistance to those who want it, but like i stated in the first post, most of it IS personal preferance and opinion. There are different ways to do every skill, runecrafting is no different. How is your method better than the traditional L positioning? Speed just stated that it's personal preference, not necessarily the best pouch setup, or more preferred by everyone else. I prefer pouches in a row myself as well because of how my mouse works, for instance. It's doesn't allow me to use the 'L' setup very well, however, it works just fine with the row setup.
  14. If you want to find out yourself, get a stopwatch of some sort, handheld, or on your computer, and time it yourself to figure it out. Time a run with all pouches and lurker, and time a run with only 3 pouches and no familiar. Then take that time, and divide it from 3600 (seconds) to get how many approximate runs you can do with each method. Then calculate that by how many essence per run, for your answer. Now this isn't considering the few abyssal runs, but it'll give you a rough idea of which is faster, and by how much.
  15. Great guide! I love Runecrafting :) Always nice to see enthusiasts making guides about it. Anyways, one thing you might want to add, is that when RCing via Graahks, and using the three pouch method, you don't actually want to repair your pouch right away. Since you'd have the Giant, Large, and Medium Pouch, even with the degraded Giant, you have enough space to contain the 24 Essence in your pouches, which is the exact amount you need for a perfect run (24 Ess + 3 Pouches + 1 space for runes). And with this, you can get another 2 or 3 runs to the altar without any penalty at all. Now, also because a Graahk run to the altar is faster than the Abyss, I prefer to use up 4 or 5 runs to the altar after my pouch is degraded, as then you'll hold only 1 less essence, which still increases your runes/experience per hour. So just a little tip to throw in there :) Sorry if it wasn't very well worded, I'm kind of tired hehe.
  16. Very great guide, well written, everything is shown well and explained well. Plus I applaud you for mentioning that you can do more than just check for snakes in the second to last room. That is a huge factor in experience per hour. A lot of people think that a little bit of experience in the 2nd to last room, and get done with the last room earlier than you're kicked out is faster, when in fact, it is not. I personally would open all chests (I got 4 or 5 sceptres to 99 and all of them were in room 5 or lower, 2 of which were in the first room) when I was training to 99. However in the 5th room, I would check the 2 closest doors before going to the chest, as that would greatly speed things up if one of those two doors were correct. It might be a slightly slower experience rate/hour, but it's such little, and gives you a much greater chance at getting more money from training the skill, that I'd consider doing it. But that's up to whoever is training, just saying what I preferred :P And lastly, I want to show you the setup that I used for getting the best experience per hour at Pyramid Plunder. Obviously this can be tweaked to your liking if you were to use it. The reason why I find this efficient, well, the equipment is basic, and you have a negative weight bonus (which doesn't really matter anymore due to the running update) and it gives a good prayer bonus if you need it (rarely did myself). The inventory however is quite important to me. So, summon the extra bunyip there so you have 12 extra spaces open in your inventory. Then, loot the chests (low level chests are good to loot for this too, so you fill up your inventory with stone objects sooner) and fill up your inventory. Sip your antipoison whenever you get poisoned, and then you can wait until you get poisoned again to repot. The bunyip will keep you healed with the antipoison almost no matter what. With this inventory, you can last for approximately 220 minutes, or almost 4 hours straight, without banking. Whenever you use up an antipoison potion, drop the vial and fill it up with the highest piece of gold you can get. Anyways, with this, you will last longer than the 220 minutes, so 4 hours straight. Now at 91+, you could get over 1m experience without banking. That's pretty nice. And obviously, when you need a new bunyip, summon it. There's 5 bunyips in that inventory, and if your summoning is low and you have to take a sip to summon your second bunyip, then bring a Summoning Potion (4) instead of a (3) dose. Also, for experience rates, with this setup, and going as fast as possible, I could get up to about 270k xp/hour, averaging probably around 260-265k xp/hour. I almost always timed my hours as I was powertraining to 99 from 94. And from Blackjacking, I know that up to ~270k xp/hour (280k if you didn't fail, but you will), and at level 90, if I were to keep up my pace, I could get 240-260k xp/hour depending on failures. Just thought I'd give you a little bit on insight on my changes to it. And if people don't believe my experience rates, I have no reason to lie, and I'm 100% sure of my rates, as it's simple to time yourself for 1 hour and look at the change in experience. Anyways, if you want to use any of that, feel free to. But just wanted to throw out a bit of extra information that helped me get 99 pretty quickly.
  17. O epic, Mr and Mrs Fai. So, I heard that you should RC with me, going for 91 this break, and I'm sure you could use a companion :P Good luck with all your future goals. And b moar pro and moar laik me p10x.
  18. Been doing some Slayer recently, just had the urge to Slay and make some money. Been trying out Piety more often on my tasks, pretty decent I'd have to say. Nothing great in terms of drops, but have been still profiting no problem from all the tasks. And then I got a 188 Dark Beast task today, and not only did I get a Dark Bow and the obviously common rune drops, but I got a second. Freaking awesome. Two Dark Bows, which ended up with a 3.8m profit task :D Haven't really been doing much else. Smelted about 5.6k of the 19k or so Gold Ores for 88 Smithing... And got bored. Haven't been fishing at all. Been getting a bit busy at College like expected, but still playing a decent amount I'd have to say. Oh, and I'm going back home for the weekend, I'm excited :D I'm going to meet up with a lot of friends that are still in town for college, or still in High School, and it sounds like I'm going to be having a lot of fun hehe. And I will finally have access to high speed internet :) Oh yes, and wireless (this crappy school has wired >.<). Cod out.
  19. Mentioned my name twice, yet I wasn't on the list! Noob. Lol, congratulations :D
  20. Haha, I remember mining with you a little bit, right before you maxed your total. You've definitely made a ton of progress. And good luck with all your future goals Funi :)
  21. Hmmm new forums. Interesting. Well, got 86 Mining before I left for college, thank you new caverns! At college now, been here for...18 days now, although it has seemed like so much longer already. Starting to get a bit stressed due to the long hours I'm in class some of the days (6-7 hours on Wed/Fri), but the homework has proven to be very simple. For those who don't know, I'm attending Oregon State University, and majoring in Zoology. And as of last night, I've decided that I am interested in also minoring in Chemistry and Mathematics (this I'll be up in the air for a year and a half or so, until I start taking some of the more advanced math courses). But I've been casually playing every so often, usually a few minutes in the morning, and in the afternoon. Been doing a bit of fishing, Rocktails and Monkfish. And also doing daily battlestaves to get my craft rank up, as well as done a few extra green hides too lol. Although I've decided I want to do something different, and spend a tad bit more money. So with the recent update to mining gold, the gp/xp on smithing is really good with gold now. So only losing 4.2 gp/xp now, and getting slightly slower xp than doing Addy bolts/arrowtips, but much better for money. So I bought 19k gold ores to get me 85-88 Smithing. And then after that I'll be back to fishing until I have holidays off from school, and when I'm at home, I'll be RCing, as I want to get 91 RC by Winter Break, so I can start making money back and eventually get the buyables out of the way. I figure I won't have a problem with 91-99+ Rc, as I love Graahks, but I want to be most efficient (with either Astrals or ZMI (and I hate ZMI...)) until 91, so I'll be doing Astrals. And it usually takes about 20k ess to burn me out on Astrals lol. Soooooo, will work on that during the breaks. But only doing easy, relaxing skills while I'm in school. Anyways, that's all I guess for now.
