  1. Well, as 010jonathan stated, it really depends on your priorities. If you are in need of money, or just feel as if you want more, then you definitely want to do Swan Song (should do it anyways, even if you choose against fishing Monkfish) in order to fish Monkfish. You can get 25-40k experience per hour there, depending on your level and your concentration. It's also very relaxing because it requires minimal work, as you just have to pay attention when the fishing spots change, and when you have to bank. You bank less often than fly fishing, which is why it's minimal work in comparison. Fly fishing is more if you just want the level up quick with minimal profits. You will definitely be getting faster experience, at about 35-50k experience per hour, depending on your level and concentration, once again. However, this does require slightly more attention, as you will be filling up your inventory considerably faster than with Monkfish. In regards to Barbarian Fishing, you should not try this until you are at least level 70, as that is when you can begin catching Leaping Sturgeon, which is what makes Barbarian fishing faster than Fly Fishing. Also note with this method that you will need to be dropping your fish. The most effective way of doing this method is bring all of the Fishing Bait that you need, and dropping the fish that you catch, while you are fishing (there are videos on the internet that you can find that will demonstrate how to do this method effectively). My personal opinion would be at your level, do Swan Song and fish Monkfish, as you will gain a decent amount of money along the way. And also, I would not recommend fishing Sharks for money, Monkfish are about the same profit per hour, and 3x the experience. Just in case you're getting level 76 to be able to solely for making money.
  2. Yes, just to touch on the subject to confirm everything, the scrolls restore half of your Agility level into energy %. So if you're Agility is level 70, then you will gain 35% every time you use a scroll. Things that you can use a Terrorbird for: -Sara GWD (if you ever do this, then it is great to have this and scrolls, especially solo runs) -Agility/Runecrafting training -If you train Summoning from just banking and running to the obelisk, then it's good to have a Terrorbird with scrolls, to keep up your energy (note, you wouldn't want to use the BoB function of the Terrorbird in this case, as you wouldn't be able to withdraw/deposit from the BoB, unless you were making scrolls). -Any sort of activity that would require needing more than 28 inventory spots. Examples would be training on a Slayer task and you're using food, the BoB function of the Terrorbird can hold extra food for you. Also, if you are doing something where you get lots of drops or items that you need to bank. Examples being killing Dragons for their hides and bones, or on an Abberant Spectre task where you get lots of herbs and other drops. So basically anything that requires more inventory space, or energy restoration, is assisted when you have Terrorbird pouches and scrolls.
  3. Oh, I'm maxed. In my heart <3: I'll start back into slaying after I get 99 Wc, 90 Smithing/Mining, possibly... No thanks, not a huge fan of nolifing Construction, plus I'm in the process of making money, not losing it. OMFG THE 3RD DEGREE. NO WAIT, THE 4TH DEGREE@@@@@@@@@@ WTF IS UP WIF U OMFG. Lol, finished it finally last night. Might get 94 Wc tonight, as I study and do homework.
  4. Even though you're not gaining experience as an attacker (or any other role), as long as you are attacking or getting hit by something, your Barrows will degrade.
  5. Even if the horn is based on "uses" (which I'm almost sure it's not), it would use up 2 "uses" at once if you have an SC item. Brawling gloves already do that. Yeah, I realized this shortly after. And it is based off experience, from some things I have read on RSOF.
  6. It has always been Magic Dart. I know this because I remember being annoyed when everyone would call it Slayer Dart, when in fact, that was not the name of it.
  7. Oh and when you get to Runecrafting, don't do Zmi until at least 82, and you've at least tried out Astrals. That way, you get more profit to be able to fund more things. You'll also experience more Runecrafting, and you'll be able to speed up your laps to the altar, which might increase the fun of it all (did for me, I love timing myself and beating old records). And then try Astrals, because if you enjoy crafting Astrals, then definitely do that instead of ZMI. I ended up doing Astrals from 82-84, Nats to 85, then ZMI to 91, as I hated Astrals. I just couldn't get more than 10k essence done at a time there. Anyways, try not to do ZMI until at least 82. And make sure to try out other methods as well, and pick what you prefer the most.
  8. research is happening as we speak. im assuming that: the normal horn takes 5 games to fill and master takes 10, since 2 games with master says just under quarter, adn 1 with normal says just under quarter Well of course research is happening as we speak, as it is with every new update. It's more of, I know some people have already tested it out quite a bit, and just stating a few things. So it's just a matter of time and patience to find out some results. Runescape Wikia said that at Ape Atoll with the horn, you can gain 350k experience. However... That's Runescape Wikia, and they fail with updates. And yeah, the reason for people buying out whips is complete nonsense. People trying to make some money off of them bought them out, and then after that, nobody will want to buy any. Basically, the demand goes up for people trying to make money, but nobody has demand for the color, so it's the merchants that are making the price go up. After they're done buying out, they begin to realize that nobody wants to buy them besides other merchants, and they begin to crash. I give it a day or two at most. I wouldn't get involved, unless, as you said Aneron, just selling your whip and waiting for it to crash to make a bit of money off of just one whip.
  9. To also point out that all of the content and updates that have happened so far in the last 3 weeks were started back in 2009. Some of these may have been designed to be released in the previous year, and were delayed. Speaking of delay, this is the reason Jagex stopped publishing BTS every month, as it was rushing them and making them either have to delay material and annoy the players, or have to release content too early at times. Obviously, it was nice to have this reference to have an idea of things coming up. I do not mind having the BTS canceled, as it's been annoying for Dragon Bones to be hoarded and merched because of Jagex stating there'd be a big Prayer update. But I think things are going well, and they will be releasing more new content, not just the majority of it being tweaks and fixes. In 2009, we didn't see a new skill, however, in 2010, we will be seeing that skill released finally, so we know already that we will be getting more, bigger, new content at least. Also, with the beginning of the year having a Grandmaster Quest, it leads to the possibility of having another Grandmaster being released this year, since there's a lot of the year left obviously. I have a feeling we'll be having a good year. I could be wrong, but don't jump to conclusions already.
  10. Yeah, I'd really like to see some tests of the new Penance Horn to find out how much experience you can get from it (when full), and to see if it's based off uses (such as burning a log, mining a rock, passing an obstacle) or if it's based off experience, so that it is done when you've gained a certain amount of experience with it. I presume it's the latter, since Jagex said it's similar to SC Tools. But, how will it stack with other items? Will Mining with the Penance Horn stack with SC Pickaxes, and Brawler Gloves as well? That would be some pretty epic experience. Has anyone tried this, or have seen/heard of anyone trying this? I haven't been able to do much on RS, so haven't been able to go BA my heart out to get the Penance Horn.
  11. Are you sure of this? I'm not denying that you could be right, but because of the correlation between Brawlers and SC Tools, I would presume it would end up being 4x the experience. However, after thinking about it, I could see the sense in 3x the experience as well. I should really just go test this out myself to find out :P
  12. Just to confirm, this is true. Although, I just visited the dummies and I found they were all full, so I don't know how much searching you'd need to do for an open dummy. But, to answer your question, wear metal armor, vambraces, and metal boots/range oriented boots and you should be good. You want a magic offensive bonus of -65 to be able to 'splash' every single cast. Any type of metal works, but make sure it's something like Bronze/Iron/Rune, etc. Make sure not to wear any amulets or normal gloves. Perfect setup would be: Full Helm: -6 Platebody: -30 Platelegs/Granite Legs: -21/-30 respectively Granite/Obsidian/Dragonfire/Kiteshield: -12/-12/-10/-8 respectively Snakeskin/Metal Boots: -10/-3 respectively Dragon Vambraces: -10 Mud Battlestaff: +28 (make sure it's not mystic) So you could do Full Helm, Platebody, Granite Legs, Kiteshield, Snakeskin boots, Dragon Vambraces, and Mudbattlestaff for a magic offensive bonus of -66. There are many different options that you have, I just listed a few items you could use that I got from the Items Database. Note, this is only if you chose to not use the dummies in Lumberidge.
  13. At Ape Atoll you can get, for the most part, 50-53k xp/hr. That is off of a basis of around 40 seconds per run. So you can just compare your experience per hour at Advanced Gnome Course to the rate that I just gave you, to consider if it's worth your time or not. I'd personally recommend waiting until 82 or 83 Agility to start Gnome Course again, since I know it is quite frustrating waiting so long to recover from your fall. In terms of when to start Barbarian, if you enjoy it and want to do it, then I would recommend level 88 Agility. At this time, when you pie up to 93 Agility, you cannot fail the course (at 93). I started Advanced Gnome at level 82 Agility, and just got through that first level, the next two were much better. If I could go back, I would just do Ape Atoll until 83 to start Gnome.
  14. I can't exactly help you because I haven't tested out the experience gains from the Penance Horn, as I haven't had the time yet, however, I will offer what I know about the items. The SC Pickaxe can be wielded as a weapon, and gives 2x the experience as a Morphic tool, and the Penance Horn can be wielded as a shield, and gives 2x the experience as well. Items like these would normally stack, and thus give you the 4x experience. I believe this is the case because when observing SC tools and Brawler Gloves, when in the wilderness, you will gain 8x the experience. So assuming that it is the same as the Brawlers+SC, then the SC Pickaxe and Penance Horn will stack as well. However, one thing to take into consideration is whether the Penance Horn is correlated with 'uses' or experience. If it's uses, then it will be just like Brawlers (Brawlers are used up after, for example, a certain amount of logs are burned). It it's experience, then each full Penance Horn will have a set amount of experience that it can gain, and that might not be stackable with the SC Pickaxe. I'm not saying that is the case, but it's a different case from Brawler Gloves then. Now finally, if the two items do stack, then it realize that your SC Pickaxe will degrade twice as fast (same amount of experience per tool, in this case, they give 15-16k experience in Mining), so it will seem as if you need more Pickaxes. Just something to note. I realize this does not completely answer your question, however, it gives you insight on the matter. I believe that they do stack to create 4x the experience. But sometimes Jagex can do weird things. 16x the normal experience anyone? 560 experience per iron ore :P Although at that rate, it'd be better to mine the higher leveled rocks.
  15. Oh good job guise. Keep up the work on increasing your wealth by a vast amount.

  18. A fantastic skill to max in. Takes a lot of dedication, but also provides a lot of great drops, great experience in other skills, and is quite a bit of fun. Enjoy getting back into non combat skills :P
  19. 99 Construction using SC? LAME. Do it the faster way without SC@@@@@ Like the pros.
  20. An absolutely great achievement to do! :D Keep getting those ranks :)
  21. You can get the pouches at any level, just can't use them. 5/10 Ahhhh. Noob :P You've got a pretty decent account there. I enjoy that you've actually spent some time into your non-combat skills, they're better than a lot of people who have a main account that trains everything! Keep up the work.
