Saru Finally Reached All 80+ :)

HELLO!

 

Let me introduce myself, my name is Saru. I've played Runescape... Well basically most of my life (as in time span, not actual hours). I started around late Sept-early November, of 2001. My first account was Thengel55, then Gandalf(some random numbers) and finally... I made Saruman44 for the purpose of being a "mage, prayer, cooking, and woodcutting pure" needless to say, I don't think I understood the concept of what a pure was for. I did not pick up a partyhat, as my parents declared no electronic activity on Christmas or Easter, so that threw off my day. However, I did receive a pink party hat as a gift from my best friend at the time. Amoeba.. (I forget the rest of the name, it's like all numbers >.<)Of course, being the noob I am, sold it for 50k 3 weeks later (if my memory serves me correctly) only to die with it in my inven to a guard. I spent 2001-2004 well... Breaking rules, I would always try to scam people (and end up being scammed myself) or doing that dumb alt-f4 trick. Needless to say, I got very very very little actual leveling done. When RS2 came around, I reluctantly switched over to RS2, and started a term of my RS career, where I'd get one skill level, then dance around in Edge for days. (Literally) Or I'd do stupid huge masses at KBD, or would *try* to Merchant. But in reality, I didn't really get anything done from 2004-2006 either. Around January 2006, I started actually caring about the game, and so I started skilling more and more often. (I had also started barrows around this time *I think*) And I mixed Barrows and skilling\combat in, and really started getting into Runescape. Then a little while after my 4,000th run (yes, 4k) I was muted for a week. Shocked, I did more barrows, with chat off. Which was the loneliest week of my lie. I did more and more barrows, and around 4,400th run, I was permanently muted, and pked while bot killing in the same day. I took this as a sign, and decided to start fresh. I sold all of my money, and took one final bank picture (the picture was erased when our hard drive was fried :( ) and it was around 25m bank worth (my max gp at one time was 55m I think on that acc, all from Barrows)So I gave it all away in sums of 1-2m to various people, and left the account I had known and loved. Following the schism of accounts, I made an account called I R Teh Noes. The name itself was my personality to the world, a dichotomy of realism, v expectations. When people would see my name, they'd assume I was a pure, or a grammatically deficit pubescent child. (Thus why I chose the four biggest memes at the time: "I" for all the pures with stupid names like "I_range_I" "R" to represent all the people who would use the word "R" to try and speed up a conversation. Used by but not limited to: Under aged players, purposefully ignorant teenagers, and adults who were trying to sound cool. "Teh" to represent my frustrations with my inability to type fast without typos (a virulent disease I still suffer to this day); finally "Noes" I was simply obsessed with saying it all the time, and it reminded me of little kids. Not really sure why....

 

I R Teh Noes, was started at a time when item sharing among accounts, was rampant in all forms. I however, wanted to be proud of what I accomplished, so I started this account with no help at all (monetarily). I forget exactly what I did for a while, but somehow I managed to make about 200k gp; a handsome sum for me. I then for the first time in my life, started to merch seriously, and I merched raw sharks for quite a while, amassing a mind blowing 5m gp. And then with a few donations from friends (not much at all) I decided I was ready to really get into skilling. This account was never meant to be a "Lvl 3" skiller, as they are usually most pretentious, and arrogant. I wanted this to be a low level skiller, that way I could still do things like the Abyss etc, and not have to worry about a guard ko'ing me. After reaching 750 skill total, I started to raise combat to all level 40 cmb. (I tried doing Slayer from the get-go, but the tasks took so damn long. So.... I did Minotaurs from lvl 1-20 in each melee skill, then started slayer.

 

After reaching 40 in all melees, I started skilling again, and decided to make a balanced skiller, where I would try and get all my skills close to each other, and stay that way. But for some reason, in which Ill never know what I did wrong. My Slayer level is significantly lower than my combat levels I dont think the measly 4k xp or whatever lvls 1-20 should have made that big of a difference. But oh well. I started going for 99 Thieving\Firemaking in the summer of 09. But got bored, and stopped. I started my first semester if college on Aug 20th, and I wanted them both done, or at least one if that was possible. Well I decided to not do an all nighter, and instead I got 99 Thieving August 21st, around midnight, and then 99 Firemaking on August 23rd, at around 1-2 pm. I had achieved what I quite literally, never thought I could achieve. And Ill be honest. I did it for the capes. I loved the skills, but would quickly get bored, and those capes helped me solve my ADHD. However, after showing off my capes, I felt empty I needed something else So I decided to go for all 80+. And now,

80 Prayer

80 Hunter: the first 80 I have a picture of:

I got this on all red chins, and let me tell you. How boring, I dont like skills that require a lot of attention and clicking, for measly xp. However, in retrospect, it was a lot faster than most of my other 80s. I to this day would love a 99 Hunt cape Not to keen on the skill however.

 

80 Crafting:

I got this via green d hide bodies, with SC needles. One of my more favorable 80s, I love the skill hate the cape, capes with gold trims fail. Period. I might go for lvl 90 For 2k total (been thinking about it) Cost me a couple mil.

 

80 Cooking:

If there is one skill, I hate more than most other skills, its cooking. Its incredibly difficult for me to do, Im not sure why. I love the cape though, so I might go for it. I did Wines from lvl 75-80 I believe, and theyre quite fun. I might use em for 99. When you add the grapes to the jugs, it makes unfermented, and when you bank, if you can ferment another invent before the previous one ferments, itll reset the ferment timer. Thus, you can get great leaps of xp at a time, which was fun, Id try to see how much I could do at once, I got to 1.1k, and then I sneezed. Rofl.

 

80 Herb

Ahhhh, one of the few skills I adore. Ive always loved this skill, however, due to my chronic Spend-itis that Ive contracted through the trading system (highly contagious), I can never hold on to any large amounts of money. And so my Herb level remains low. If I remember my memory correctly, I did Range pots til 76, then mage pots til 80. Cost me I think 8m.

 

80 Smith

Eh. This can potentially be a fun skill, I just hate the fact that with every plate I smith, Im throwing away money. I did Mith bolts to 73, addy bolts to like 76, then mith plates to 80. All through sc hammers, and due to some fluke in which like bars rose and plates fell or something, I spent 9m on this.

 

80 Fletching

Ew. Hate the skill. Did Mith arrows to 80, got pked while doing mith arrows in wildy gaining EP, along with jank I was alching, thus this 80 cost me 13m. :XD:

 

80 Slayer

Meh. Slayer is fun when I get the right tasks, however I tend to get streaks of good and bad tasks. The good tasks streaks are great, but then Ill get a task of HHs, then steels, then Irons, then like idk Warped t birds. I profited maybe 7m from this. (I got an ammy of Ranging when they came out ON TASK :D )

 

80 Runecrafting

Ahh. Runecrafting, this skill depends on my mood. Sometimes I actually crave Runecrafting, other times I simply despise it. I got lvl 70-74 on Deaths, 74-75 purely on lamps\quests (before WGS fyi) then I did 75-78 on Law tabs, then 78-79 on Blood tabs, and 79-80 blood abyss rcing. I have no idea how much I profited, simply because this 80 was spread out over about a year.

 

80 Fishing

I used to hate this skill, couldnt figure out how anyone could stand it, but soon I got into the hang of it. And soon got semi addicted to it. I did Fishing Guild Swords\Tunas with Sc harpoon and gloves from 70-75. Monks 76-80. Made 4m maybe.

 

80 Woodcutting

I have always semi enjoyed WC up until lvl 67. Level 67-71 were unbearable, then once I hit 72 for some reason it just became easy. I did 73-77 on maples, 77-78.5 on Yews, and 78.5-80 on Ivy. Damn Ivy is fast.

 

80 Mining

What a [bleep]ing awful skill. Pardon my language. I hate this skill. It would literally take me thousands of charges on my water tiara and days to get a single level at granite. Id mine 3 invens, get incredibly bored, and browse forums for a half hour. However once I hit 77 Mining, it just becamse so much easier. LivingRock Caverns saved Mining from being a crap skill, if you know what I mean. ;) Made maybe 2m from this skill.

 

80 Agility

This skill, like Fishing, Ive grown to live with. I have Netflix, so I watch tons of instant watch movies on one half of the screen, and do Agility on the other half (or browse forums). A semi enjoyable skill, however, 90 will be a huge toughie.

 

80 Farming

I used to want to get 99 Farming. Ive changed my mind, everyone says this skill relaxes them. With me, its the exact opposite, its almost nerve racking, I constantly forget stupid items like spades; that for some reason I dont keep with my Irish Dwarf. Or my trees die, or I forget my axe for fruit trees Tbh, this was still enjoyable\fun, just far from relaxing.Cost me around 9m? I did Palms\Yews (no herbs) from 70-77, then 77-80 I did like 4 months later, and did Payayas, Maples, and Snaps. (snaps almost made up for the whole thing, I have amazing Snapdragon luck, I profited an average of 450k per 1 snap dragon run  Ill always fail at GWD though)

 

80 Summoning

Great skill, I remember when RS2 came out, all my friends were chatting about how the next skill would be Summoning. Turned out to be Slayer. Close enough right? Id easily go for 99, I just dont have the funds. I got lvl 1-79 purely from slayer\lamps. 79.5-ish to 80 I got from WFS. Eww. I hate camping. Cost me idk 8m? I always buy items at the wrong times and have it cost way more than necessary.

 

80 Prayer

And last, but damn so not least. I remember fantasizing about having 70 Prayer back in the Rt3 days. And when I saw J35u5 M4 get 80 Prayer, in a sense I was inspired. I had to get 80, I saved it for the last, and because I could get in any location I wanted. Cost me about 10m, which is a lot better than the 16m worth of dbones I bought. (I did pengs for like maybe 4 months straight and spent all points on Prayer.)[/hide]

81-90 con, 82 RC, 82 Range, 85 Mage (only dping range cause its like 34k xp til lvl)

Or:

80-90 Craft, 83 RC (or farm instead of rc, Ive always wanted Spirit trees)

And I kinda just wanna do random skilling, and I LOVE monster hunting, so I might be doing some GWD.

And umm, thats it.

 

So with an adieu, Saru and Company retire to the dark and dank armpits of the world, to craft more essences, at the expense of the life force of countless unknown victims.
