But if it is as "rare" as it might be, in the time it takes to actually get 1 10m prize the gold farmers may be able to make much more than 10m with other methods

Does anyone know if it is true that the big prizes are actually untradeable?

Well I just used both spins, And I can't really tell if their is a pattern to being able to get what you want or not, but I recieved 3 iron ore and 50 coins.... :( faillll EDIT: I had a Saradomin Godsword and a Arcane Spirit shield on mine incase anyone wants to keep track

One cannot simply receive xp gold or fabulous prizes once a day. >UPDATE< Oh... fine ONE CANNOT SIMPLY MAKE THE GAME THIS WAY!!! NOOOOO Rather uneventful and rather unexpected update but who knows how much of an impact this will make once we find out how much chance of getting high level stuff is. If its comparable to BA d chain drop rate then probably isn't much of a worry. But ofcourse for some unknown reason you cannot log in just like EVERY update for the past, what, six months or more? you would think that for a pretty well off company that they would be able to figure out and solve a pretty bad problem, but they just don't care anymore I guess.

hatebringer’s Guide to Busting Hunter Bots Update - As there is a seemingly unlimited number of bots currently in every world, This method now takes much more effort to work. Suggest doing so with 2-3 more people Hello and welcome to my guide to breaking the current Hunter bots. If you are like me, you are trying to hunt chinchompa’s either for your own monetary gain, or to gain precios hunter levels OR to save money for ranging and catch them yourselves. However recently a large amount of botters have appeared again and it can take away from your experience and your money per hour. Bots may have been mostly taken out with the Bot Nuke, but unfortunately there are still some bots that function but to a lesser degree of intelligence, and these are the Hunter "Line Bots" Note: Please always report ALL bots, they are ruining the game for me and you. Here is a quick set up I like to use to maximize xp and fun: Head/Body/Legs: Lapuria Hunting Gear Ring: Any(Flame Ring for FM xp boost) Gloves: Any(Flame Gloves for FM xp boost) Weapon: Inferno Adaze>D hatchet>any hatchet>bow Boots: Any(Not really needed) Cape: Anything Flashy :P (bragging rights) And ofcourse your invent : Yellow: Take atleast 9 box traps I feel that its good because when trying to break multiple bots at once you sometimes loose box traps. Red: These are all box traps I’ve gotten from botters so ignore these Green: logs, the jungle trees that are around you are a plentiful source of logs for the FireBaiting method of breaking bots. Red : Chins (what you ARE here for anyways, after breaking all the bots) Okay so now that all the minor details are out of the way, on to the guide : The main type of bot that you will encounter is the line botter. These Botters place their traps (4 or 5) in a straight line and then go down the line of traps, dismantling and resetting them regardless if there is a chinchompa or if they have even closed due to a failed chin catch attempt. So basically this bot runs on a script that tells it to set up its max amount of box traps then go box1:remove/replace ; box2:remove replace etc. until all the boxes have been dealt with and then repeat the process. underTrapping The main way to deal with these bots is to perform the method I call underTrapping, which is where you stand under their next box they are going to remove and wait patiently until they move on top of you and then watch your feet until the box disappears and spam click to place your trap before they get a chance to place yours. There are two possible outcomes to this: This is the main trapping method you want to happen in which the bot will be attempting to lay their box trap but will be unable to as your trap will already be blocking theirs. The best outcome is the bot simply stands their for long enough that all their other traps fall and they do not pick them up and thus lose all their traps. Here are two examples of the bot’s traps being under your box trap and all their other traps falling. NOTE: ALWAYS pick up their trap when you see it. This will almost fully break the bot. Once your trap either gets tripped or catches a chin, pick it up and while the animation is still playing click to lay the next trap while STANDING on your trap you are taking down. Since the bot is slow it usually cannot place theirs in time and you will stop them. This does not always happen on the first try and sometimes the bot will have extra traps. If they do simply repeat until fully broken. This path I have drawn is what most bots in this area will do. They will run away and always head east. This is what your goal will be and what you will strive for. FireBaiting Sometimes the bots will lay traps much faster, which is probably a different bot or whatever they are doing but it is much harder to get rid of them. They will not stop either when attempting an underTrapping break and will continue on their loop as if nothing happened. They will just leave out that space. FireBaiting is your attempt to get them to move away. Here is the final product. The yellow spaces are where the bot was when I began this method, and I was able to push him all the way to where he remains in the red spaces. Please note that this method can take awhile to get to work but it does eventually work for most of the botters I see. I’ve only failed 3 times using this method. Step1: First step is to get the underTrapping box set up in their second the end west box set. Set up a box trap under their box when they remove it and you will get the bot to skip over the space. After you successfully get a box trap under this trap, set fires on both the east and west ends of their traps indicated by the red boxes. Remember to keep these fires going 95% of the time. Also note that some of the bots do not even need the end fires all you need to do is constantly block off the western traps in line and it will cause the bot to "adjust" and move anyways. This method is just the most consistent and full-proof method I have come up with. Step2: Next step is to attempt to get a fire going on their western trap. This may be a bit difficult at first since you cannot simply spam click the log, unless you only have a tinderbox in your toolbelt. An easier way is to also underTrap this box and when the bot moves away to remove your own trap and set a fire. Step3: Continue these steps to slowly move towards the eastern traps one at a time remembering to keep all your fires burning. Eventually you will see one of two things happen to the bot. Either 1, the bot will move further east and eventually out of your hunting way, or 2, the bot will continue his box setting up, but when moving east he will move 1 square north. This is the best success and will cause the bot to use up ALL his traps as he will set up Westward then head east to pick them up BUT he will be 1 square north and will not know that all the boxes are just to the south. This will continue in a vicious cycle until the bot exhausts all its box traps and runs East to log. Misceleanous Stuff: Unfortunately there are a few types of bots that cannot be broken fully by these methods, but they can be underTrapped to stop them from getting xp, which can be done to all line botters. ALWAYS report any bots you may see before starting any bot breaking as this will vastly improve your feeling of self-worth and will help (I hope) remove these bots from the game. If you enjoy messing with cheaters in the game, then this will be fun lol I may make a video to better show the method, but I'm not sure if anyone would be interested in it. Okay guys, so it all starts out about 8 months ago. I was coming home from school and I had my laptop in my bag like i usually do. When I got home i grab my bag and get out of the car and somehow I had not grabbed my bag correctly or something but I end up dropping it right on the pavement. :( It was a pretty violent thud, but the laptop worked okay after. Here is where my first problem came up - Bottom left corner of screen (not actual window screen) is cracked and plastic piece fell off so I can see the rotating mechanic for opening and closing the laptop. Now this wouldn't be bad but it also had the effect of making my backlight on my screen very dull sometimes but has now gone from that to flickering and eventually making a buzzing noise almost like its grounding out somehow. I opened up the screen but did not see any frayed wires, but I am not a laptop pro, desktops are my thing so im not sure :/ I've been living with this issue for awhile now, and i can usually make it stop for a little while by tapping the screen or closing the top and tapping the top of it. works about 60% of the time so wondering if you guys know how I could fix, or look into fixing it. NOTE: It is a Dell Inspirion Now a more pressing matter that has been plaguing my laptop since the fall. About 3 months after the drop, I updated my laptop windows was complaining blah blah update etc. so I updated and reset. Upon restart I logged in and then within 3 minutes of logging in, my computer froze. I didn't think much of it until I restarted and again it did the same thing. I thought, okay maybe the update was bad or something So i went and set it back before the update, but again it did it. So I went into safe mode and it was okay. To make a long story short, I backed up all my data and wiped the system. I then tried starting it up and it works fine from factory settings. So I begin to use it again etc. ect. and as soon as it updates It starts freezing up. So I reset again disable updates and use it normally but now for about the last month It has been freezing very steadily after either ~10 mins of idle or around 2-3 hours of moderate use with an occasional freeze every once and again between those times. 3 Days ago i start getting the "Hard disk is failing" popup on startup And i kinda knew it was the Harddrive but now I bought a new laptop HDD and I want to know exactly how I would go aroudn to setting it up and all that. I can take the old one out and put in the new one but I want to know how I would be able to Install an OS on the new Harddrive and any othe rpointers you guys may have. - How to make a bootable CD for an OS I have a windows 7 .iso (Not pirated I get it free from college) - What else Will I need to do when I put the Harrdrive into the laptop (first steps etc.) I hope you guys can help because I have never done anything this big on my own stuff and I don't want to make any mistakes. (im CS major so you don't have to talk to me as if Im simple-minded lol and No "take it to best buy" stuff either :P) Thanks :)

Basically what he said, but if you aren't going to use his method, it would take anywhere from an hour+ to maybe 3-5 or more depending on your skill. Honestly, its easier to boost up and get it then drop down again and just get it that way.

Yeah Castle wars just got it, but the cape honestly doesn't look that great, i was expecting more from it but ohwell, stats are nice but looks like a hell of alot of supplies/gear needed to be successful :/ So not for the average player

I have an issue in that I can no longer get effigys while killing things. I want to earn ALL of the exp not a small portion of it going to me and the rest, almost 70k+ to other people because i do not have the requirements to open them and i do not want to simply waste them. So im stuck in a catch 22 where I want to train slayer but i cant train slayer because i need to open effigys in order to slay and earn effigy bonuses from slayer, but cant because i already have 5+... so i either train all these other skills or just dnt do anything, not to mention i dnt have the money or even close to the money needed to level up the skills i need to be self-sufficent. Why not just make it so you can only get like 1 effigy per invent or something else?? This is just stupid

Exactly I have almost 20no banked and I want to use my own skills to open so what I have to level or get assistance before I can even get anymore and so I can't slay or anything until then at the cost of possible effigy? No fail jagex u obviously dnt even understand how your game works so I have to dish out MY XP to other people so I can get the lamps and even have a chance to get more effigy's or spend hours and hours leveling the skills I need to open effigy at the cost of millions of gp I dnt have and can't earn efficiently because I can't kill creatures that may drop effigy's and I will miss out. Thanks jagex for ruining the one update I was looking forward to.

That effigy change is the biggest fail in the history of this game. The one good thing for maxing the game and no its ruined

I would think it would be at midnight rather than a timer for exactly 24hrs... I think auras are really the only thing with a definite 24hr timer

Honestly I wasn't even too excited about the flasks update, but i am now that all these little amazing updates were added as well. Not to mention my game is now running at a solid 5-7 fps more than it was pre-update so yes 10/10 definitely

Yeah its boderline unplayable unless your just doing something that doesn't require any intensive clicking or management, like wcing ivy is doable at 2 fps, maybe even mining or non-dangerous combat, but mostly everything is out of reach at 2 fps. I know from experience.

Didn't think to check that. My FPS is up from 6-8 to 11-14. Sometimes even went 18-24 :shock: . I hope it stays like tihis. Agreed as well, mine is up from Stable 7 to 13-15 now. I know im posting more than usual but this update has really surprised me in quite a few ways. Now lets not get a System update that when i log back in fps is back to -10...

Basically yes, since it isn't possible to just put a regular potion 4 dose into the remaining 2 dose flask could it be possible to use the doses to fill an additional flask up to max of 6? Or if that isn't possible would making a middle man of a regular vial to hold the doses from the original flasks before being transfered into the full one? So Flask(2) -> vial(2) ? and Flask(4) -> vial(4)? And finally Vial(2)+Vial(4) = flask(6)? I just want to know if its possible so i don't get all these flasks and fill them only to have a ton of leftovers that are useless after trips EDIT: Yes you can decant out of the new flasks into an empty flask and/or normal vials. The only limiter is you cannot decant into a flask that has already had potion put in it. Okay well that clears it up, i just wasn't hoping they would be dust collectors in my bank. :) makes them better than my original assumption

now here is what i want to know, if you have a flask with2 doses left in it, is it possible to remove those 2 into a regular vial so as to not waste bringing a 2 dose along on a trip and then fill a second flask with those doeses along with the additional 4? i just dont want to use them if you end up having to lose a bunch of potions because you can't refill them or undose them and restock up to 6 doses.

And you can sell 6 dose potions in flasks as well, i know there were some rumors going around before the update that they might not be tradeable

Im really excited for the whole, 2 dose potions to 1 dose now, that will make it sooooo much easier to clean my bank of potion doses all over the place :) And dam ive been too busy with mining and smithing to be able to actually level my crafting :/ Sad but wonder how these flasks will change the game.
