I agree. The mad rush to use all my time up annoys me. To me, it feels as though I have to play full on and use everything up, until I hit around 1.3x, by that time I've gotten lazy. However, with the gloves, I can use them up in my own good time, and don't have to set aside a weekend to get going. Nor do I have to prepare.
