  1. Mine's just pathetic, I don't barrow much though.

If the amount refers to barrow armor / weapons: 4 (lame)

If to number of racks at once: like 174

    Best value: Guthan's Skirt

MAX. kill count: like 200 I guess, I got a short memory

  2. The way I understand the term "no-lifing" in this topic, I don't really no-life. I do play a lot, but I do other stuff too. I've never drank coffee or energy drinks nor eaten coffeine tablets in my life. I've only once played over-night without any sleep at all, that was like 10 years ago. I don't like the smell of energy drinks so I probably won't like the taste either.

Also having too many energy-drinks is really bad for your health, I think I read an article about an ice-hockey player (age being like 15 or so) that drank 15 after one game and had to go to hospital because of that.

  3. why would you quit? if you enjoy the game then why stop playing?

Not sure if that was aimed at me, but if it was, I stopped due to computer problems and didn't bother to come back after it. I didn't even bother to log in to tell my friends, I meant to, but never did.

I also know a smoker (he's my friend, told him stop as well) and it seems some smokers don't want to admit that it's a problem for them and won't listen to you when you try to tell them to stop.

I guess that's everything I was going to say then.

  4. Wildy diary would be sweet.

    Some easy tasks:

    Craft some Chaos runes

Recharge your prayer at one of the altars

Mine some coal at the skeleton mine

    Kill a Dark Wizard

    Pull the lever to Ardougne

    Teleport to the abyss

    Cook on the bandits' range

Jump over the wilderness ditch

    Medium tasks:

    Kill a green dragon

Mine some addy from the hobgoblin or pirate mine

    Open the muddy chest

Do a lap on the agility course

    Dig for a treasure trail

    Obtain a God cape

    Catch a black salamander

    Hard tasks:

    Mine some runite

    Kill another player

Gain the use of all 3 god spells outside the arena

    Use a wilderness teleport

Hmm, actually, hard tasks are kind of hard to come up with, they'd have to be a bit more creative. I doubt Jagex wants to force people to kill the kbd or chaos elemental in order to complete an achievement diary.

I don't think the "kill another player" would be good, since you could do it without items with a friend. otherwise good thoughts for what they might add: another thing is to kill a magic axe in the hut at the northern part or a fire giant in the dungeon. Also ice spider and chaos elemental killing is possible (meaning on chaos that you get the drop) and pickpocket a rogue. Just some ideas.

And I guess Wilderness Diary would make clans go quickly to wilderness for obvious reasons.

  5. Well I don't really see the quests as annoying, if you don't like them, why do you do them? Anyway, for frustrating, I can easily say my opinion: Fairy Tale Part II, just because the herblore requirement.

Also I don't understand why some people hate MEP2, after all, there's always Tip.It guide to help me. (I did spend 3 hours and 30 minutes doing it with guide but still took me only 5 tries to succeed on obstacle the first time when you have to pass it (and succeeded on first try the second time you have to pass it) with 60 agility.)

  6. Here's my ideas for God Prayers as alternative prayers:

    Saradomin's Might (Lvl-70)

    - Boost your strength level by 10%

    - Decrease your attack level by 5%

    Zamorak's Fury (Lvl-70)

    - Boost your attack level by 10%

    - Decrease your strength level by 5%

    Guthix's Recoil (Lvl-70)

    - 50% of the damage received returns to the attacker (similar to the Ring of Recoil effect). Returned damage is rounded up.

NOTE: If the attacker happens to also have Guthix's Recoil activated, the damage returned to them will NOT be halved and fired back to their target.

The boosts and decrease in skill levels could be percentages but if that's too powerful, I think boost by a fixed level should be fine. You'll also need to wear a Holy Symbol or Unholy Symbol to activate the prayers. Guthix's Recoil works with either Symbol.

I don't think those prayers would be good, first off, the Saradomin's / Zamorak's ones require much higher than the 15% ones we already have, which are better anyway, so they would be pointless after all.

The Guthix prayer would be too powerful, unless it drained your prayer to 0 after the damage return. (or something similar, 50% back from damage you take is too much, 30-30 DDS K.O. anyone?)

  7. Goals and achievements, same reason you don't "quit" real life either

Then again, there's quite a bunch of people who never really start real life.

I'm not sure what makes people come back, I quit at the beginning of March 2005 and came back on September 2006 since I had nothing much to do and well, still playing it seems.

  8. Actually Icthlarin is the protector of the dead, cats being it's something animals (somehow represent it or something or whatever, you go ahead and figure) and Amascut fears cats as said, don't remember why. Also Amascut and Icthlarin are enemies since Amascut tries to destroy souls of dead people.

  9. Trobigod, please don't kill me for suggesting that famine is somewhere else then the desert...

Wait, where's Trobi been? I have a bad feeling... He always like showing us how our ideas are wrong... Oh well.

I won't, I'll just kill you because you forgot that I said that the Pestilence is in the desert.

And I'll prove a huge cache of things wrong at once, it's faster. :D (actually I can't think of anything that would collide with the stuff being said lately :-w )

This doesn't really relate to the WOM (as far as I know at least), but I was in the Azarnian mines today, and I spied this:

    [hide=Inside the Azarnian Mines]SirSpishyus.png

    sirspishyus2.png[/hide]

Where exactly is this? The Azarnian mines are inside a magic stone, so how could this be here?

EDIT: I checked RuneHQs persons database, and there's no record of a Sir Spishyus, so what if this is something Jagex is building right now?

It's just the secret templar HQ part full of puzzles that you must solve to be a former Templar in the recruitment drive quest, nothing to worry about exepting that... How the Templars can take you from falador to near these mines in a flash?

To be honest, their just fitting the "underground" sections rather close to each other, actually the icy area of The Temple of Ikov, surrounds the KBD "arena". Jagex (can't be bothered with the capitals) just has two different maps (at least that's my opinion) and the other is the actual World Map, whereas the other is the area with has all the dungeons, and other similar locations being seperated from it. OK that didn't make any sense at all, but I'm just trying say that the Arzinian Mines are in no way related to the Temple Knights. I think I could go on and on for ages on the subject and never make any more sense.

EDIT: Randox, I didn't read your post, if you want to book a time to hunt me, tell me in-game will you?

    [hide=SPOILER ALERT!]

I did read it, just wanted to see how you react

    [/hide]

  10. Edit: Since when does Tuco work with Angel eyes?

When Angel Eyes tortures him into doing so. :P

Anyway, I really like where this is going. One thing, though - Could Zaros' form be a scorpion instead of a crab? Both have claws, and scorpions are mostly found in the desert, which is Zaros' primary area of influence.

I think you're right about Armadyl being the original owner of the Stronghold. It's known that the Fremmenik and some of the Barbarians are Armadyl followers, according to what I've seen. It makes sense that the Barbarians would have made their settlement near one of Armadyl's strongholds. I suppose that their folklore talked of an ancient fortress built by Armadyl in the area they're in now, so they decided to settle there. They must have thought that the fortress had been destroyed, because they hadn't realized that it was underground. But when they relocated their mining to the center of the village, they stumbled upon the stronghold! They must have been thrilled, but Zaros' energy was probably still there when they found it. I'm guessing the presence of Zaros down there is the major reason that they don't just relocate into the stronghold.

Armadyl tends to like places that are underground: The place where the Staff of Armadyl is is also underground. Looking at the map of that area, I noticed that of all the monsters that are inside, the scorpion - Zaros - is the weakest one, at only level 14. A slap in the face from Armadyl, perhaps? :P

I can see Armadyl building a fortress for those living in the present-day Wilderness fleeing from the God War to find refuge. I think that maybe Zaros tried to attack the stronghold, and in the epic battle, the fortress was completely sealed off from the surface. Maybe part of Armadyl's energy remains there to counteract Zaros' energy, or something.

This has me thinking. What would Armadyl have done, after Zaros attacks a fortress full of peaceful noncombatants and refugees? I think he would have realized that Zaros needed to be eliminated. Being the god of goodness/purity, Armadyl would have taken it upon himself to do so. This is why I think that Armadyl arranged for his staff to be "stolen" and sold to Zamorak. Because really, why would some "rogue bandits" steal a God's staff and then sell it, when they could have incredible power by keeping it? And how did the staff miraculously reappear in the Temple of Ikov, a location where Armadyl's followers still guard the staff?

    Sorry, long post.

Me again! Came to crush your theoris once more! Anyway you should remember that I told the Staff of Armadyl's passing to Zamorak, so I know the best. The person who found it, was not old, but a priest of saradomin with ragged clothes. Then the rogue saw the staff (golden glitter) and wondered why would a rag-wearing man have something made out of gold, killed him and saw it was a staff of huge power and wanted to get rid of it A.S.A.P. and decided to sell it in a bar in Bandit's Camp, the one in the wilderness. Oh yeah, the man who found it was taking the staff to Entrana to give to Saradomin's priests.

EDIT: I might see if I can hear the stories from the ghosts again, when I have time that is.

  11. It's been awhile since I've seen Wenlok on here...unless he's just lurking.

Sorry KC, I've been plotting how to mass murder every person who comes to this thread and doesn't bother to read all of it. :P Meh, I do end up lurking- I prefer for a brainstorm to happen then leap on it, as such.

Anyway, I'm curious about the new colours of both of the Kalphite Queen's forms- green for ground form and reddish-orange for the flying form. Whilst I know she doesn't use prayer, it's a bit odd all the same for Jagex to implement that. Bugs are usually portrayed as black, however I think they used black for her because it symbolizes death. Why change to red and green? Why not grey or something? Interesting as the WOM does indeed mention her.

And if this history update doesn't come by Saturday, I'll really be mad at Jagex. I want a good read, and am anxious to return to the WOMDA meetings.

I'm seriously amazed that someone posted something else than a flame or lame theory or something we know.

It's called the apocalypse, Trobi.

Wenlok, I still am not a native speaker of English, so if I forget one word, you really can't think you're better than me. (too lazy to cut out the not-important parts of the quote.)

  12. Checked Pirate's Cove since Wenlok wouldn't stop bugging me about it.

Anyway, nothing special really, hanging skeletons, a windswept tree some flags with nothing special. There was 3 named pirates: names are Palmer, Wilson and Jake. Maybe someone can get something from them?

  13. Hmm...do you think he might be a werewolf now, or a vampire even?

OK, I've got a problem with WOM's story. Why on earth would he send a level 2 man from Lumbridge to investigate Morytania, one of the most lethal places in Gielinor? Surely WOM would have realized that the man's chances of survival were next to nothing, yet he still expected the man to return alive and make a detailed report of his findings? That's insane, why would he do that, unless he's also a sadist.

I've got: 1) WOM purposely sent the man out knowing that he was not going to survive, but didn't want to pay a skilled adventurer to help him, or 2) WOM didn't really do that, and it's a cover story to make it look like he's still interested in gaining wisdom.

Which of the four symbols did we think was in Morytania? Was it death or pestilence? (This is going way back to some of the first meetings)

I think the names people post are for the secret society.

On-quote: Death, I still think pestilence is in the desert, nor will I ever change my opinion about the fact my avvy is cool.

  14. mememe513, that's my point exactly, especially the last line with the scheming, planning and such. Either Jagex is messing with us or they have began updating WOM story... hmm or maybe there is a third option.

EDIT: Hope you like my avatar, it ain't changing in a while. (If someone has something against it, feel free to duel me...)

  15. One more point to the person who made that lame post about one million theories. Sure you can put up many theories, but how do you prove that it's even remotely possible?

Would like to know if you can prove your Sandwhich Lady and Party Pete theory, since you're the one who brought it up.

  16. Are you perhaps talking about the rumoured RuneScape 3? I doubt it's going to come, but that would be a good way to introduce it. Hmm, WOMDA vs. The Wise Old Man and his army of highly powerful, Barrows armour wearing god opposers. Em, anyone think that we'll live longer than 5 seconds?

Maybe if we each got 28 multicannons and set them all up at once we could destroy his army. Then if can have Trobi on melee and the rest of us using protection prayers we could gang rush WOM with our cannons. If that doesn't work we can gather up a bunch of those explosives from Castle Wars and drop them all at once, like a suicide bombing. We could take WOM down with us! :P

    It's tough being the toughest.

And the temple of light is under the mountains, not in the Elven Lands.

  17. you should call that team thing :

    hss - hairy silly sally =D> =D> =D> =D>

I'll take this one. If you dont have anything to add, don't say anything. ::'

No fair! Nuh-uh! It's my job to tell people off!

And for the "This-ain't-no-spam" part (I know the grammar is wrong but who cares?): In the Gnome Stronghold there's that sun-like symbol and the banner of Kandarin.

  18. I cant be bothered looking through over 60 pages on this so,

Did ya know the bed in his hous can be kicked, And after kicking it numerous times, It'll move itself. Also, There are boots or feet under it

Either read it or don't post!

It has been said nicely, why can't people get it?

And for the posters (serious ones): If and when you make the first post on page, please add a message like: "Don't post before reading the thread."

  19. Also, Icthlarin is taken directly from the egyptian mythology, and he has a jackel head, another majharrat had a camel head, maybe there are different types of majharrat among majharrat, as in family types?

Icthlarin looks scarily like Anubis to me, the god of embalming and preserving the dead. He also helps the dead person weigh their heart on a balance, with their heart at one end and the feather of truth at the other. If the heart is heavy with sin, the dead person will be eaten by a fearsome monster that is a cross between a crocodile, a lion, and a hippopotamus. However, if it is light and the feather weighs more, they will be allowed to pass on to Osiris, god of the underworld/afterlife. So, I'd guess that they took the idea of Icthlarin from Anubis, as they are basically the same thing. Out of interest, do we actually know much about the RuneScape afterlife? I know about Saradomin and his promise that his followers will spend eternal joy in paradise with him, but what of the Guthixi and the Zamorakians? Well I suppose Zamorakians would be treated to some form of Hell, but what of the Guthixi? And what of the worshippers of other gods, like: Armadyl, Zaros, Icthlarin, Seren, Amascut, etc?

That might explain many of the "duh" posts on here recently. Heh, Planoboy is doing some advertising.

    ...45 pages ago...

Well let's hope that this topic doesn't get on the weekly hot topic list, as we'll likely be swarmed with these 'duh' posts. I think these 'duh' posts are down to people thinking to themselves 'omg it a 65 pag tred wiht 1k+ replis! If we post their we loak gud!'

Thats an old post, been there ahwile, we havent been at 20 pages in what? at least a few months, it was at like 16 when I started reading it.

I was here since page 15. And of course, our good old friend KC was here since page 1, because he started it!

    Bolded parts:

    1) Don't know about others, but as a follower of Zaros, I don't die. Ever

    2) Wenlok, Kc ain't our friend, he's got a grudge with Zaros!
