  1. Just dropped by to ask if I should post pics of my RS history books here. What do you guys think?

Just make sure you use the hide code.

    [hide=(Title you want here)]

    (image%20url%20here)

    [/hide]

It's just easyer on everyone that way :D

Meh, post the code again, too lazy to search for it. But not now. I got 80 thieving to get.

  2. So Randox, too lazy to quote but the monkey head is a part of the Holy Grail members quest (Pointed out by KC 5 million times I guess), the chemistry lab is used in 3 members quests. (Regicide, Mourning's end part I and Biohazard)

And for mhosseins: The strange old man can be found at the barrows and another one of the old man group near the kalphite lair.

  3. Note this:

    He has a Sara staff.

So why would he be a zammy follower?

    ornaments.jpg

And what is that ornament thingy?

Ornament has been speculated quite a lot. Search the thread and you'll find it.

And about the Saradomin staff, I have them all and still consider myself a follower of Zaros, not any of the 3 gods.

    >_< didn't think to look.

But if only i could grab his full sara (G).

Which is another indicator of sara following...

i still think he's the Mysterious old man, and the evil chicken's pawn.

    As shown thru this.

He may be a follower of the evil chicken. NOTE THE BOOK ON THE EVIL CHICKEN! He's the one who summons the chicken, he's the mysterious old man, and he needs the wiz tower runes to tele around and to harass players. Also, runes are needed to send his pet and master, the evil chicken, to wherever he needs to be.

    Note the names:

    Mysterious old man

    Wise old Man

    See it now?

Also, look at the pictures of the wise old man and the mysterious old man.

Wise Old Man - phat + robes=Mysterious old man (?)

HE IS THE EVIL CHICKEN FOLLOWER!

Well if you want to speculate the Old Mant thing, there's Old Man Ral, Weird Old Man, Strang Old Man, and also 1 more I can't remember. So that's quite pointless thing to say. Also the MOM - WOM relation has been discussed as well. Just read the topic please or don't post. (So information which has been said won't be repeated and stuff that has been speculated won't be repeated. Thanks.

  4. Note this:

  5. First off, I noticed from the pictures provided by our fearless investigators showed matching armor in both Kandarin and Lumbridge: The suits of armor, white with a red trim around the shield, and a yellow plume on the helmet. That appears to be Kandarin's colors, especially the shield, but what on earth is it doing in Lumbridge?

I get the distinct impression that Lumbridge have allied themselves with Kandarin, though I do not see why. Could a member possibly talk to all (I know, this'll take you forever) the citizens of Kandarin? They might let slip something about why their shields are in Lumbridge. There's something very interesting in the information about this kingdom- they are rumoured to have connections with lands west of the mountains, where nobody has been since the God Wars. Freneskae (how do you spell it?), anyone?

Anway, the carpets. I noticed that both the red and green carpets, the colors of Zamorak and Guthix, also had black symbols of Saradomin on them. Wenlok and Randox probably remember, but for those that don't, the three of us went through the wilderness looking for clues, and inside the Chaos temple in the northwest part of the Wildy there were red carpets with black Saradomin symbols on them. And we all thought it was incredibly weird. The symbols have turned up on carpets in Lumbridge and Kandarin, too. The Chaos temple also had windows with trees in them, correct? Now, Guthix is sometimes called the god of Nature. A tree would be a prime candidate for a representation of Guthix. Black symbols of Saradomin turning up in major cities, and inside a Zamorakian temple with possible ties to Guthix. I'll leave you to draw your own conclusions.

I'm stumped. The only conclusion I can possibly draw is that the people of Gielinor are slowly drifting away from all the three gods to worship a greater deity. A deity thought dead a long time ago, but in fact was still alive, waiting for the chance to get revenge against Zamorak. Zaros could be coming back. Anyway, another possible conclusion is that they have fused all three gods together to create the ultimate god, and they make note of it by crossing three symbols/colours of the three gods together. And a final theory is that they simply worship any god they feel like.

I find it weird that Misthalin's colors are purple and green, because I have never seen the color purple anywhere in Varrock.

What I find even more weird is that they have the colour purple. That is the colour of Zaros. What is it doing in a town (Varrock) which worships both Zamorak and Saradomin? Both of the gods hate Zaros, yet a place where they are worshipped has his colours. I doesn't make any logical sense.

First off, I could be real annoying. But I'll only be a little annoying. Based on the posts on last 2-5 pages, it would seem the more pictures you post, the more useful you are. I made Wenlok post that the Ardougne churh had the sword-symbol stained glass but it would seem nobody noticed it. :(

And as for the bolded parts:

    1) More likely the Elven forests.

    2) And green is the color of Guthix.

  6. It's interesting that Varrock is only about 175 years old (that's about right, according to the Knowledge Base). That means that King Roald's family lineage is relatively young. That's only about 5 generations right there. WOM may himself be 200 or more years old. WOM has probably been alive through all 4 of Roald's ancestors, plus Roald. Interesting, don't you think?

How do you figure 200 years old?

I know that the gypsy lady in Varrock square is 210 ish years old (she tells you to count the legs on the stools in the Blue Moon Inn and multiply that number by another number, 7 I think). And she doesn't look like it at all. Her hair is even gray, not white like WOM's is. That made me believe that WOM is older than she is. Plus, WOM has been all over the world and knows it better than anyone else. That's a task that takes a really long time to accomplish :P

I did that in 3 monhs, may I remind you. :shame:

Also the soul rune/swirl symbol can be found in the Wizard's House in northeast Ardougne, I can't remember the wizard's name though. (I just posted this so it isn't spam). :D

  7. In the Knowledge Base on the official website there's cooking FAQ. It clearly states that the Lumbridge Cook's range reduces the chance to burn food and that Chef's Hat does NOT reduce the burning chance. Also I don't think that apron reduces the chance either, but that hasn't been confirmed by Jagex, at least yet.

  8. I agree with the fact that edgeville is a very good place to sell cooked lobsters. My friend also told me that draynor is quite popular lobster central. And to what caused this is the "Cook X" option being added. People want to buy raw because they're easy to cook en mass nowadays.

  9.

either we were still right and there just blood stains (in this case someone attacked by that bear) or possibly the symbol of death. (im not sure what we currently belive the wave symbol means).

Thats it, hope you like it because I did cheack the whole city, although it was a waste, the rest of the city is quite boring.

Well they're claw marks, not blood stains. I think I said that about the "In Aid Of The Myreque" quest, the book said: "And we made claw marks in front of the tomb of Ivandis, to make it look like a nest of some beast, to keep grave robbers away..." the claw marks were those red waves. So I guess the bear has been clawing the walls, in an attempt to get out.

I think the wave symbol is pestilence, since we connected Pestilence - Smoke and the Smokey Well in west-side of Pollivneach is the place to get the Smoke Diamond in Desert Treasure, and if you play on high-detail mode you'll see those waves in the screen.

  10. ok, i didn't read all 60 pages or whatever it is but, lets say he does hit the wizards tower, which he proably will, what will they do with quests like the rune mysteries quest, or how will it affect rune essence minning. my guess is jagex just made the WOM to mess with people. they made him do 1 thing and left the rest up to us to write 60 pages about him. id say he never does anything else again.

Well the exact same line has been said a few times already, except that they weren't as polite, homever stating this doesn't help the thread to evolve, and it would be appriciated that people stopped posting this line. It's a game and it's meant to be fun, how you have fun is a personal thing and people shouldn't be judged by the way they pass their time, as long as it's legal.

On-topic: In the void knight island there are some banners, the symbol is a fallen "S" examine goes: The official symbol of the void knights. Or something like that. Just posted to make sure.

  11. If you use the only magic option with a staff you get spell experience + 2 experience in magic and 1,33 experience in hp for 1 damage.

If you use the magic+defense mode, you get spell exp+1 magic exp 1 def exp and 1,33 hp exp per damage.

  12. Using logic and reasoning (yay for Philosophy classes):

Zamorakian mages invaded the old Wizard's Tower and tried to steal the secrets of runecrafting in the Third or Fourth age. They couldn't get the secrets, but they burnt the Tower down. If you read the comments in one of the books, the W.O.M. says that he needs more runes, so he'll have to get them from the Wizard's Tower. If he were really that wise, couldn't he just use Runcrafting to get all the runes he wants? He obviously doesn't know much about it, so he wants to invade the Tower again to steal the Runecrafting secrets, and finish the job that the Zamorakian mages failed at so long ago. Plus, he'll probably burn the Tower down when he's through.

as i said a long time after this post but nonetheless he has a binding necklace upstairs on chamberlance i think so he must know

He knows OF runecrafting, but doesn't know the techniques. Try talking to him, he says something that "he understands that the player has been a great help in rediscovering that skill." I'd also like to point out that Malignius Mortifier is a Zamorakian, since after doing the abyss mini-quest he says that it's great that the player has helped the Zamorakians learn of runecrafting after such a long time. Hope this helps.

  13. Juat read the real BTS (although i liked the other one better :XD: ), and at the very end it's stated that reldo has found the very last sections to the arrav legends in lores and histories of runescape, when this is released maybe a final decision on anything that can connect the two can be made

Yep I agree, and if someone doesn't know already, the arrav story + the other stories can be found through RuneScape main page -> Stories and Letters -> Lores and Histories.

Hmm I guess I could read them when i have free time, I think I've read them 3 times, but once more can't hurt now can it?

  14. Have you guys done any investigation into Kl'lik (Dragon who Flambe's teh Creme Brulee in RFD), seeing that his examine is: "Perhaps one of teh Elder Dragons?"

That would be quite hard for me since I already did RFD over a month ago.

Yes I know I'm fast, also why is it said it's a "hard" quest?

  15.

Kchughes did you ever expect to get 50+ pages?

    No. It seems huge now.

Anyway, I think our postbag letters might be answered later, since there's a letter to Shanty Claws in there now, and the Christmas event was 3 months ago. Maybe they'll get around to them eventually.

And if it's all right with everyone, I think we should hold back on the WOMDA meetings until something actually happens that we can talk about. Recently there hasn't been much activity at all, and we don't get much done at the meetings when there's nothing to talk about. :P

Awww.... I wanted to do mass quest cape emote. But I'm fine with skipping the meetings until there's any point doing them again.

Oh I know! Kc is just too lazy to be bothered to come so that's why he made that suggestion! I'm a genius!

  16.

By the way guys, about the meeting- I can't go. Sorry, but there's something that I enjoy enormously on TV at 7:00pm GMT I'm afraid. Oh well. :P

Dose this mean you arent attending any more meetings onless we change the time?

I think that's what it means, at least until the TV show ends, if it ends at all.

  17. So were you under attack the whole time while you were re-aranging all those liught beams?

Not really, no. Since I'm so good, I just killed the shadows. They can't attack me when their dead, right?

Kchughes did you ever expect to get 50+ pages?
