Well, finished the book. About 200 pages tonight, then I read the acknowledgments and author's notes. I could have read that book in one sitting, if I didn't have anything else to do. So good. The Help, though I kind of doubt it would interest anyone here

Yeah, post that for a Vikings fan. NOPE Not saying I care about the record of the Vikings this year though. There are just 1934719741298 annoying packer fans here this year since I'm on the WI border. Their football team is better this year, yes, but they'll all agree that the education here is better, hence they crossed the border.

They told everyone it was going to be today earlier this week, then today had student council kids and whatever run around frantically for a minute collecting monies.

So last year a family's house burned down. The daughter went to my high school, so the high school had a one minute fundraiser for her family. We raised $3600. A few days ago, word came that a senior this year has an inoperable tumor after having cancer for the past two years. With the tumor, he has two to three months to live. His wish is to go to Universal Studios. Today, in one minute, the school raised $10,000. And they say our school is the ghetto school of town.

Yeah, that's when you know there's too much snow. I laughed though, all these stupid people were clearing snow off their roofs in late winter and then everything thawed a couple days later and it all would have melted off fine

I don't know how they got away with charging that, it was ridiculous. But I guess they could claim "snow removal" and whatnot even though a quarter of the parking lot was just snow drifts last winter since we had to have like three feet of snow in December

My high school charged $75 a semester for parking. You had to bring your license to get the permit and write down the license plate number. They didn't really ticket until last year, but you'd have thought people would just pay after the first $15 ticket instead of waiting until they've basically paid full price for a pass and can't park there.
