  1. As I said before, 50% of the reason we macro is for the challenge. Single player games don't have a very big challenge... They don't have to even worry about the autoers. But reinforcing the no real life trading rule, would stop a lot of the autoers from China, who just want to sell their gp for cash... \ How would I support the system if I rarely use it? Yes, but then those companies would also know that you don't manage your time well/have more beneficial stuff to do then play games. So as well as it being good in a job application, it can also be bad. And Runescape isn't challenging. It's just time consuming. Sure, I can get 99 fishing if I wanted to sit at my desk for a couple weeks clicking the same fishing spot, and eventually I'll get there. Was it challenging? Did it make you think? Yes, but to get scammed, you need to make a mistake, as in trusting someone with 300k. While for keylogging, it's not necessarily you that made the mistake, but rather it may have been your brother that downloaded it. (In my case, it was my bro...) It doesn't take a shorter time to do it with software, just the software can run 24/7 when you may have to leave your computer for a meal or something. But, I agree with the rest of your statement :). Well, whats better, someone getting their arm ripped off due to them getting their hand stuck in the machinery. OR, a machine breaks down. Which one would cost less to repair? Which one would cost less to make? Which one doesn't have the ability to sue you? Think of it from the business standpoint... So... "If you don't like the macroing in RS, you should go away." Okay...let's sue a 13-year-old kid because he macroes! Easiest defense = Well, he doesn't know any better. They're not going to give 5 years in jail for macroing in a game? I cheated in Monopoly! "Go directly to Jail, do not pass Go do not collect $200" They'll just make you give your earnings back to Jagex, or slap your wrist and tell you never to do it again... Lol, I have 5 anti-virus, and 3 anti-spyware, plus 2 firewalls. The only reason it got through? "This file may contain a virus, which of the following do you wish to do? [ ] Delete [ ] Quarantine [X] Continue Download" If my brother decided to stop the download, and delete the file. Nothing would have happened. But instead he chose to continue the download. Referring back to your saying... "If you don't like the macroing in RS, you should go away" I'm not trying to be mean or anything. But as you said, our posts lack smilies :) -Dunce
  2. Yes, but let's say 90% of people in the U.S have a computer. And only 30% have one in China. China still has more computers... Yes...but... Refers to the mountain being a volcano... Games like WoW, are too high-detailed for SCAR a mere color-clicker to function correctly. Runescape just happens to be the perfect pallet for the perfect artist. Well, you know what? If Jagex enforced the rule of no real life item trading much more. That would cut autoing down by at least 80%. Since as Jagex recently said, "Most autoers are from Chinese "sweat-shops" (Not quoted directly, but still...) And I'm probably still around because we're having a civilized debate instead of flaming each other? Not entirely, because I long ago stopped autoing for profit/skills and now as I said, I just do it for programming practice. How could clicking the same spot thousands of times be fun? They've overdone how long it takes to level up... Not scammed, but keylogged (:)). Anyway, I wasn't upset at the gp that I lost. But rather that someone didn't care that 3 years of my 13 year childhood was all packed into those 32 pixels. And they just took it? In 5 minutes? 3 years suddenly dissapeared, nothing meaningful, beneficial came out of those 3 years except what was taken away from me in 5 minutes. Only to be sold to someone for $20. Ever heard of Ned Kelly, Australia's most notorious criminal, and the leader of the Kelly gang? He was fighting against an unfair political system. Jagex has created an unfair system of skills and gold and levels. We could be considered Ned Kelly...He had to hurt a couple people to get his beliefs through to the world... -Dunce...
  3. Veltia is right, we could easily handle this random. Ever had the demon random (I think it's called that)? Basically the screen rotates every 30 seconds or so, but you have to click on whatever pole is lit up (There are 4 poles). So although hard to do, we managed to get past it :). Well, the autoers would end up getting that prize. Since our computer reflexes are much faster then a humans. So we'll be getting 3.76 milliseconds, humans would get around 3 seconds. Just create something that if it see's "Please try logging back in, in 60 minutes" Make it wait 60 minutes, then try again. A couple problems... 1.) Skillers would revolt against Jagex for this... 2.) Just make a script to level up 5 in fishing, then move on to mining, then in 24 hours, go back to fishing etc. 3.) As I said, before I ever raise any skill on my autoers, I get their combat up to at least 40-ish. Lol, Jerry seemed like a cats name, so I had a 50-50 chance of getting it right  . China's population is somewhere around 3 billion I think. The US's population is around 600 million. Big difference. I've taken 2 years of Mandarin chinese. But since I switch schools so often, I end up taking half a year in one school, and another half in another school. And the curriculum's greatly differ. For example, in my first school we learned school supplies first, then we went onto countries. In my other school we learned sports first. Then we learnt the basics like bye etc. So, he may have been studying adjectives earlier/more then greetings, but quite unlikely . I'm supposing he meant money. And either he didn't know how to spell english words, or he was using slang. Like, "r2h". But by this, you're calling the legit players uncivilized and still in the stone age? They have access to the same technology that we have. I'm not sure if thats a valid point or not. But hey :P. Anyway, you can't relate a computer game such as Runescape to real life/stories/songs like that. There are so many unknown variables which can greatly differ the outcome...For instance, if the Strange folk used todays technology and "scanned" the volcano for signs of volcanic activity, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't go ahead and dig into it? Plus, wouldn't the volcanic eruption be triggered by too much lava, and not a change in pressure due to holes opening up inside the volcano? As I said, unknown variables... Yes, but programming in only half the fun. The other half is trying to pass everything Jagex throws at us. Basically giving us a challenge. But on a private server, there is no challenge. Merely an empty world in which there's nobody around to hide from. Nobody around to test talking features... The goal of an RSDemon user is the following. Most cash for the least effort So, they want that Phat just as much as you do! But...instead, they're too lazy to work for it, and end up making lvl 3 default clothes accounts...They're merely taking a shortcut thats against the rules... I rarely auto anymore...So really, I don't bot in Runescape for 28 days out of 30 days in a month... Yes, but that small amount of spare time is equal to nothing in Runescape. It may get you 3000 xp. But...you're still 345272057 from 99. So there's really no point. As stated somewhere getting to level 92 in any skill in equal to all the xp needed to go from 93-99. It ain't right. As stated before, I rarely auto. But the reason I started botting is because, I got a key logger somehow. (Nothing to do with RS cracks or anything..) And then I was buying zammy armor, so I left 5 million gp in my inventory. And then when that key logger got my pass. He must have had a great day, he got the 5 million (Which I worked 3 years for...) And basically left me with a rune scimmy and no armor, no gp, no nothing. I was devastated. This kid just stole 3 years of my life. So, I started botting, I wanted to make that 5 million back... Does it state this in the text you have to read when creating new accounts? Anyway, a quote from the best scripter in SRL. "We cheat, that is what we're good at." You can't report someone to the police for cheating in Monopoly can you? Runescape is merely just a giant game of Monopoly in my opinion. -Dunce
  4. Lol, thats just someone who doesn't speak English well. Not an auto-typer :). Since you program them to say, if found A, then say B. Well, auto too much, Runescape dies. So in a way, I do care about the game. If Runescape dies, what else would I practice programming on? \ Yes, but when the autoers but a phat or something, all that money goes right back into the economy. Right? I'm not trying to advertise, but rather just trying to change some peoples points of view on the subject of autoing :). I understand botting is ruining Runescape, I've reported 1,854 people so far for macroing from running that script (Mentioned before). Many people player RS in ungodly hours. And I never really have spare time anyway :). Ooo...trust me on this one. Before I started autoing, I was just like you. I HATED autoers. Everyone I'd see I'd start spamming to report him, and reporting him over and over again. I was totally against them. Okay so...? If you skip school, you're a skipper., and if you kick a skipper, it will hurt for the skipper. I really don't get this line :P
  5. SRL has full protection against all randoms except Evil Bob :D So it does respond/solve them. Once again SRL has auto-talking capabilities, if someone says your name, it responds and then can hold a conversation with you. Hehe, that was just a certain example, like if it were woodcutting, it would be enough to cut yews. But also, I level up levels on my accounts that I may never use. Already answered :P I believe most people in RS get their cash from "pking". But then the question is how do the others get their cash? But then next week (Without new bots being made...) it would be 2/6, then eventually 0/6. But as I said, new bots will be made :( Trust me, I played legitly for 3 years, I got 82 mining, 78 fishing, 80 cooking, 71 woodcutting. I had a lot of skills. So I do know how it feels, and how long it takes, which played a part in making me start macroing. That and also that I got a keylogger and lost all my money/items... Hehe, late at night, and had to try to find an example, it was the first one that popped to my head. :). And yet years and years of work only results in a phat? Mere pixels, that could easily dissapear and you just wasted a few years of the best part of your life, your childhood. As said before, I do know how it feels... As for the quote, it doesn't have anything specific to do with autoing. Sorta like saying. If you kick a kid, the kids gonna cry.? -Dunce
  6. aznmidget448, please check my posts on the previous page before making assumptions about autoers. -Dunce
  7. Alright, let's start off with this quote, which in the SRL community we say a lot. "If I see you with lvl-3, crap name, crap clothes, I WILL REPORT YOU" Then we add some faces of devils and all after that :) . Now, since I'm not a member in Runescape. I have never been to the fishing guild. But I know for a fact that there are not any scripts (Bots) for the fishing guild in SRL, that could be abused by "leechers". (Basically, someone who just joins the forums, downloads the bots, and never posts constructive criticism, etc.). Personally, all my autoing accounts are level 60 combat, and have full rune. So, I don't have a clue about the fishing guild bots, it may be something other then RSDemon, and SRL. But I'm not sure. RSDemon is only for woodcutting. Well, what makes you think that they are bots? Not talking back? We have that in SRL :). The same movements over and over again? We have random movements in SRL. The way they look? Once again, all my autoing accounts are lvl 60 with full rune. As far as I can see, my accounts look like the normal legit player. Well, I round all my skills to around the 40's. And then I may have fishing at 60 or so. And also what about "skillers" people that don't train their combat skills, but only fishing/woodcutting/whatever else. They normally have very low combat, but high levels. But if you were buying items. Like said in the article about getting skill capes. Let's use RuneCrafting as an example. So, you want to get 99 RuneCrafting, and mining millions of essence would take forever, so instead just but it for 15 ea. But if autoers weren't around, essence would cost somewhere around 100 each. Basically making getting 99 RuneCrafting 7x harder. Well, I believe that the majority of the people would be happier, or at least accept the low prices. But, if you do see the bots. You'd (Legit players) complain to Jagex about the botting problem. While if you didn't, people wouldn't think that there are so many bots, and therefore not complain about the problem as much to Jagex. Hehe, I knew they said something like that, but forgot whether it was days/weeks/years. But still, Jagex has recently completed the milestone of one million members. Well imagine going to a members server. Walk around the whole map, and repeat this for every single member server. 4/10 of all the people you saw would be how many people are reported annually. That just doesn't seem very accurate. Rules are made to be broken. In my opinion if you can notice one of these bots, they should be banned. It's basically a giant game. Tom and Jerry. Tom (the mouse/Autos) is trying to hide from the cat, if he gets seen, Jerry (the cat/Jagex) tries to eat him. But if you look like a skunk, Jerry would avoid you right? But, if you look like a mouse, with a white line going down your back. Jerry would know that you're a mouse, but wearing a skunk costume, and then eat you. So if there were a ton of skunks around, Jerry would just think that skunks like to live where he is, and that would be the end of it. If Jagex suddenly allowed autoing, nobody would care anymore right? Since they'd be doing the same thing, and it would turn into a game of who can create the best bot right? So really, we just like to break the rules :). -Dunce
  8. No, I'm not saying that YOU should use one type and not the other, but rather realize that all macroers aren't just level 3's. The harder to spot a macro, the less aware you are of it, right? The less aware you are, you forget about macros. And you just think that the economy is great, since everything's cheap because there are legit players working hard? RSDemon goes against all these principles, they're extremely easy to spot, you're aware that people macro, you complain and put pressure on Jagex to try to stop these macroers. Jagex then puts on a bluff saying, "8,000 bots are reported daily!" which isn't true. In a year if it were true, you'd have a million or so bots being banned annually. If there weren't any Level-3 macros, you would think that the game is full of legit players, and you could still enjoy yourself without 10 level 3's stealing your yew tree. -Dunce
  9. You can't just call every autoer "bad". You know all the level 3's normally cutting yews? They use RSDemon. They want the most money for the least amount of effort. They're the ones ruining the economy. While there's also something called SCAR. Too say it briefly, Runescape's economy depends on SCAR. Otherwise everything would at least double it's price, causing many things such as High-Alching steel plates to make you lose profit instead of gain profit. Everything would be thrown out of balance. SCAR are the autoers you don't see. They're the ones with 55 combat, which have conversations with you. They're the ones that solve every random. They're the ones that you have no clue that they exist. When you think of macro, the average legit player thinks of, "Lvl 3, with default clothes". You're wrong. Thats the "bad" macros. SCAR (More commonly known as SRL) has even made a script in which it reports RSDemon macros. Since we understand that they ruin the game. I've messaged Jagex admitting that I macroed to report macros. Then I showed them a list of the 487 players that I reported. They read that message, and I'm not banned. They understand that we want to help Runescape. And I personally think that they're enjoying us helping them. I just want you guys to understand that not all autoers are bad. We don't just auto for skills or money. I personally have never done this. I really only want to learn how to program Pascal. And I'm just using Runescape as my testing facility. RSDemon=Bad. Us(SRL)=Good. You have to understand, without us, Runescape wouldn't be what it is today. -Dunce
