no rune scimmy? REALLY?

I'm making a f2p pure strength pk-er. I just need help with stats... Attack: 40? Strength: 60 Defense: 1? Some questions: 1) Should my attack be higher than 40? Many people say to have at least 50 attack to hit well while pk-ing. 2) Should my defense remain 1? Many people say to raise it to 10 or 20 for black or mith armor. I think I should stay at 1 with either full iron or wizard robes, but I need some help. 3) Amulet of Power or Amulet of Strength? If i stay 1 defense, I think ill need the bonuses from power ammy. Wat do u think? 4) If i stay at 1 defense, which I probably will, what should I wear? Full iron? Full wizzy? Full monk? Thanks to all replyers.

When I was really a noob, COWHIDES. I was killing the little cow calves (I was scared the big cows would pwn me) and I kept getting these weird-looking white cowhides. So i stored them in my bank in Varrock (long trip, eh?) until I had about 100. Later on, when I was like level 11 with full bronze, I was in Al-Kharid bank. I saw someone saying "Buying hides 100ea!!!" So I asked him if he meant cowhides, he said yes. :ohnoes: :ohnoes: :ohnoes: Bought my hides for 10k, at which point, I ran around the house celebrating. I bought full steel and a steel scimmy, it was probably the happiest day of my life. Later on, as a member, I was killing Baby Blue Dragons for experience and bones. Some guy was fighing the Blue Dragons in full Dragon (anti-fire shield) and Whip with his protection prayer on. When his prayer ran out, he started running away, but sadly (not for me though) the Dragon took one last shot at him and he died. I got Obby Cape, D Med, Glory, Wealth, and Rune Boots from him. :shock: :shock: :shock: I even asked if he wanted his stuff back but he logged. I was happier than the time i got my first 10k! And, later, if I get my whip, I'll be very happy! \ \

dueling: dds spec x 4 > full verac's / hybrid in other playing: d b axe spec > hybrid > restore potion! yay!

Two more things... Would it be smart to use the d b axe special with my Full Verac's while fighting another warrior? Verac's already has low defense, I'm not sure if I should lower it even more. I don't exactly want to use restore pots in dueling unless I'm staking. Also, while using the d b axe special... should I use it every time the special bar recharges then take a restore potion? That would mean a restore potion (4) would be gone in 20 minutes. Is this efficient???

Pfft... twin 50s... not gonna happen too often. If I'm dueling a ranger or a low-level warrior, that would be the time to use my hybrid armor and whip! About Torag's helm > Verac's Helm... I'm getting full Verac's anyway, so I'll just stay with Verac's Helm. If I go up against a ranger, of course I'll use my whip! :D If I go up against a Warrior, possibly with Barrows armor, definitely the full Verac's!!! I'm not planning to get full Dharok's. I don't want to save up for it either, because even if I have it as a side armor for low health, I'd rather use a Whip. Another reason is because the repairs will pile high and fast. Rune legs strapped to your face... LOL that's a good one. So I guess it's settled. Verac's FTW WOOHOO! EDIT: I know it doesn't happen on every hit. But I'm sure it happens more frequently than a full Dharok's guy hitting a 50. I feel that Dharok's armor is one that you get for fun. It's an armor you get to brag that you hit a 50. Other than that, I like Verac's.

Let's take a vote. Full Dharok's or Full Verac's in Duel Arena??? I've watched many fights, and Verac's owns Dharok's 8/10 times. Verac's is also good against higher armors because it hits through them. Verac's: 1 Dharok's: 0

I want to see a male wearing Verac's Helm, Torag's Platebody, and Torag's Platelegs. This is the armor I'm probably going to buy later on and I wanted to see if my character would look mildly decent with it. Thanks! :thumbsup:

What do you mean by this? Are stats suddenly un-changeable now?

I heard from hundreds of people that Verac's always wins in Duel Arena unless up against Ancients. Dharok's Greataxe has a GREAT strength bonus, but a NOT-SO-GREAT accuracy and speed. Full Dharok's at max health is near-useless. Also, can someone post a screenshot of a character wearing Torag's Platebody, Torag's Platelegs, and Verac's Helm? Or should I start a new topic on this?

I will be using this to train, as I said before, everything. I've found another idea. \ For everything but dueling, I would set up like this: Verac's Helm (much better stats than Neitiznot's helm) Torag's Platebody Torag's Platelegs Dragon Sq Shield Abyssal Whip/ Dragon Scimitar/ d b axe Amulet of Glory Ring of Wealth / Warrior Ring Rune Boots Dragon Gloves For dueling, I would wear this: Verac's Helm Verac's Brassard Verac's Plateskirt Verac's Flail/ d b axe Amulet of Glory Ring of Wealth / Warrior Ring Rune Boots Dragon Gloves For PK-ing, I would wear this: Berserker Helm Rune Platebody Rune Platelegs Rune Kiteshield Abyssal Whip (Protect Item)/ dds Rune Defender Amulet of Power/Strength Ring of whatever any boots any gloves So, in total, I would buy full Verac's, Torag's plate and legs, which would drain my money to close to nothing, but oh well. About the Full Dharok's method. I tried it out with my friend's character and I don't particularly like it. It's inaccurate and slow. Whenever it hits high, I think to myself what I could've done with the Whip in that time. Also, with Full Dharok's on, I won't be able to get myself to low health without taking off my armor and standing there, which I don't want to do cuz I wanna use my Whip. So, there goes the Full Dharok's method. Another question: Verac's helm has 2 less armor vs crush and 6 less armor vs ranged compared to Guthan's and Torag's helms, but gives +3 prayer. Does the prayer bonus make up for lost armor? With full Verac's, I'd pwn anything in the Duel Arena, staking or not. For example, if I'm up against a ranger, I'd use my Torag's with Verac's Helm. Against another warrior, which is usually the case, I'd use my full Verac's and cut through their armor. Full Dharok's may seem to be extremely good in the beginning when you watch those videos of people hitting in the 60s, but it just doesn't cut it compared to a Whip in PvE or a Full Verac's with flail in PvP. Another Question: About the d b axe special... I would probably use it every 5 minutes, which also means I would consume a restore potion every 5 minutes. Doesn't this mean I would carry LOTS of those? Thanks to all who helped me, especially Smapla. I am definitely going with Full Verac's, with Torag's plate and legs in PvE. Unless, of course, Smapla proves me wrong somehow. :wall:

Just for an all-purpose armor that I wear to everything. To Dueling, to Training, to Questing, to Castle Wars, to helping friends, to Minigames, to EVERYTHING. Obviously, I'll gain experience as I move along, but here's the key question: METHOD 1 OR METHOD 2?
