  1. Actually I knew it from different sources such as Science Illustrated and others, I just knew it would be on wikipedia.
  2. "Exessive trolling and "hidden" personal insults."
  3. You have been reported.
  4. That's it, Dungeonal, I'm sick of your trolling!
  5. Doom, would you please do me the honour?
  6. Description says it all. -This is not for Hegemony technology. -While assumptions are unavoidable, please refrain from drawing conclusions without evidence. -Mixing roleplay and science could be fun, but don't do it exessively.
  7. I think I'll make something we sorely need. EDIT: Take this as a warning; Get your [cabbage] together, Dungeonal, or I will call in the authorities.
  8. We're done with the subject on wether or not lobotomy is torture. However I am most certain that most people here agree with me that you are talking rubbish right now, even though emotions to play an important role in forming and sustaining our personalities they do not affect memory in any other way than that it is remembered.
  9. Just saying, I've read more meaningful sentances than that last one in graffitti. You don't need equipment to learn that, only wikipedia. "Emotion is the complex psychophysiological experience of an individual's state of mind as interacting with biochemical and environmental influences. In humans, emotion fundamentally involves "physiological arousal, expressive behaviors, and conscious experience".[1] Emotion is associated with mood, temperament, personality and disposition, and motivation." "In philosophy, psychology, and cognitive science, perception is the process of attaining awareness or understanding of sensory information. The word "perception" comes from the Latin words perceptio, percipio, and means "receiving, collecting, action of taking possession, apprehension with the mind or senses."[1]" "In psychology, memory is an organism's ability to store, retain, and recall information and experiences. Traditional studies of memory began in the fields of philosophy, including technique of artificially enhancing the memory. The late nineteenth and early twentieth century put memory within the paradigms of cognitive psychology. In recent decades, it has become one of the principal pillars of a branch of science called cognitive neuroscience, an interdisciplinary link between cognitive psychology and neuroscience."
  10. I'm not saying I know how it functions, only how it works. I know the difference between thought patterns (emotions), neural pathways (memories) and external, electric signals (senses).
  11. Nope, I just know how the human mind works.
  12. Good, since you were mixing up things pretty badly there, this way you won't break your keyboard writing stuff that doesn't make sense.
  13. You can neither hate nor love to be without emotions, because hate and love are emotions, what you described seems like a bad case of a memory disorder. Emotions exist only in our minds, they are not tangible, unlike memories and they are not directly created by outside sources, like senses. They are our mind's interpretation of occurances.
  14. Emotions are imagined, senses are experieced.
  15. They are. They involve destroying part of the frontal lobe. Earth, senses=/=emotions.
  16. *"Emotions are something you could often do without, especially if like me your life is a downward curve as of recent."
  17. If you would actually read all the posts you would realize that I often use myself as a comparison only when asked to, like here where Ross asked me if I would like to be without emotions.
  18. Dungeonal, you are the only one who have trolled recently, trolling is something done to annoy others and is never useful, like your accusations. Truce accepted.
  19. I am not trolling. And modern politicians are more likely to neglect the working class.
  20. But when there is no alternative such as prison, there is just public service, psycological treatment and lobotomy it is not hard to place the serial killers. They are to dangerous to attempt any other treatment on and a shrink would have to be superhuman to prevent the psychological decay such a guilt puts on the mind. The entire point of a technocracy is to place the country in the hands of the smartest and thereby preventing any numbskulls from ruling the country, it also means that any gouvernement services are out of the question since the entire nation is to be split into sectors based on what field people work within, everyone are sivilians and thus prisons would not exist because there are no officials.
  21. Rocco, you were the one who asked how one person could pay more than one life. Ross, lobotomy is not torture, it is personality altering through cranial surgery. And it actually leaves the mind incapable of torturing itself. Even though I do hate my emotions right now, I do have hopes for the future.
  22. But the only way to carry out non simultaneous death sentences on one person.
  23. It wouldn't, but that's be the closest way to be kiiled multiple times... No actually, electrocution + defibrilator.
  24. Getting shot while poisoned and hanged?
  25. Death by simultaneous sentences?
