Those components (with the exeption of graspers) are parts of the actual insides of the nanites, physically included in the nanoelectric circuits. It was just an attempt to explain a way they fueled themselves, i have no idea how they do, only that they do.

You must have some bodily fluids, the nanites would just slip into it and flow around, replicating until it can take controll of all bodily functions, including vital organs. Rocco, nanite ~ metal bacteria, replicator ~ android. And they prefer to stay away from enemies (shooting instead), they only probe to read minds or torture.

The nanites are all but un-coordinated, they each contain a mind only over-ruled by that of their collective form, and they each have a conection to the replicators' knowledge base. Think of it like this; a single nanite has a mind and is able to survive on its own or in a host, several nanites have a collective mind and are able to take control of and kill a host, enough nanites have a collective mind and may form a full replicator, all replicators are connected to a sort of database containing their collective knowledge as well as updating their base code to change their goals, commands and behavior. A bullet would destroy the nanites it came in contact with, no more, no less, shockwaves do not form.

Grim, it is too small to be properly crushed by something else than a projectile. Why? Your race dismantles nanobots, my race is made out of nanites, they're like nanobots except they are one part and look (and behave) like cells. If anything then the replicator would loose whatever limb touched you but the loose nanites could mess up your physique or take control of you.

They basically eat everything, they use any available substance to replicate, so I guess they either consume some of it or they use "waste" energy from their surroundings (possibly why they shut down in empty space).

I had sort of reasoned that bit. However it is like me saying External, Plasma CPUs/Harddrives/AIs. It doesn't explain how something which is effectively mindless and nerveless would produce a computer. bacteria ~ cells. Cells comunicate, as do bacteria. Brain = comunicating cells = computer. Bacteria + collective + gene manipulation = brain = computer. Anyways the bacteria would not need any internal software imbeded in their genes, only "blank" sheets, the software would just be in a CD which allowed you to use the bacteria unit as CPU/GPU. As for intelligence what we lack in computers are multiple, comunicating prossessors.

External, bacterial CPUs/harddrives/AIs. Rocco, they are nanite androids, composite humanoids made from billions if not trillions of cell-sized banobots. Yeah and making bacterial units would be anything but time consuming, since bacteria can multiply.

That would have to be bacterial, seeing how rock can't move, thus the inteligence would be natural, not artificial ans thus you have a brain, a bacterial brain. But thanks for saying that idead though, using bacteria to create computer accessories would result in extremely powerfull computing capabillities as well as revolutionizing AI (because the I would be arctificially produced) with physical memory storage as well as allowing software completely focused on autonomous computer inmprovements.

No, I'm going to give each weapon it's own value which it will keep and which I'll use when computing combat. The rules would stick (with the exception of fossile fuel and fission ban when on other planets) the goals would change.

1 combat is allowed. 2 Scripts just do the math of cash and growth, if the research, etc. needs a script to do anything then I'll do it, but the likelyhood of it relating to any script is small.

This game is loose, only thing is that I've scripted random events and economy to make updates easier. Other than that you can do anything that is anyhow possible. Also every once in a while I'll give three options that need funding, you can fund all, but if one or more does not reach enough cash before end of the decade it will be put on hold, the three will usually do similiar things.

This game is stil open, the year is still 2012 though since no one has joined

On a note slightly related to that I just argumented an AI into a perverted man that thinks he can use forums and play online games.

Actually that is pretty rare, the internet is a part of the international comunity, there's not a thing we do that would have been done the same without the internet.

Still, the entire tavern being away at the same time is an improbability of large proportions.
