Wow, like hope you didn't burn up too much of cerebrum digesting my rant, thinking of a suitable reply and posting what is clearly an excellent, well thought out contribution to the thread.
Wouldn't it be easier to just put the spammer on your ignore list?I'm just waiting for someone to come back with "right click-ignore".Sorry but that doesn't cut any ice with me, because thats almost asking little ol' me to someone else's job on there behalf.

If they didn't act like a jerk, there would be no name, to name.
On the flip side of the coin, if I left that out, I could just see people going "You've got no proof".
So in the good old fashioned context of 'he who alleges, proves' the above was enclosed.
Ps, I'll laugh myself silly if this gets locked and the aforementioned person is allowed to continue unabated with kind of disruptive behaviour.

To me the your current (un)official clan channel, most of the time, is one to be envied.
A free flow of information, ideas, price checks and some relatively entertaining mirth from all the contributors.
Jerks like the above, have no place in, imho, wrecking what is a largely friendly group of players with a common shared goal, which is simply to have fun.
I'm just waiting for someone to come back with "right click-ignore".

And yes, I've reported this person, every freaking time they've waited until a chat mod has left the channel and proceeded to flood the chat with spam. Meh and I'm not even a 'wannabe p-mod'. I've got far more important things to do with my time, say like, having fun, than kicking/muting jerks who seem to think that flooding a channel with repetitive '@' and pressing enter is the greatest thing in the world.

To concur with the previous entries, Shilo Village fly fishing is in my humble opinion the fastest way to train fishing for XP/hour.
However, doing it this way isn't a cash provider, but consider it a good loss leader until you can fish sharks at a decent rate.

On, pretty much all the time.
Beggars soon get bored when I don't respond.

Generally I'll report them via the Customer Service message system on the official website.
For example if I observe a (randomname)001 doing the same thing over and over, not talking, etc etc and that (randomname)001 has just one really high ranked skill and theres a series of them 002, 003 etc with the same skill I'll call them in as well.
Whilst there is no compulsion to talk, wear different clothing, interact with randoms, it could be considered proof positive that a array of similar names with just one skill ranked very highly in high scores is the most an inquiring eye has to go on.
Seems to work as well.

Hmmm I've been having a rethink about the long term strategy of my account.
I'm currently tinkering with the notion of once I've got myself to fishing level 97, I shall go and cook all my fish, then train my defence up to about level 70 then go mine enough essence to get my rune crafting up so I can make my own nature runes.
Then once I've done that, get my mage level up to somewhere in the high 80's.
What do you reckon guys n gals?

Okies Torti fans, heres the latest update.
I've finally broke though 10 million experience points on fishing today.
Also I've decided to cook a load of my fish so my cooking is now up to level 90.
Mucho thanko for nice words from the clan chat and in particular lava blade for the company for finishing the last few fish in my house.

This is following the yet-to-be-proven assumption that they don't enforce the rules :roll:
Its a patently false assumption.
However because of the 'no naming, names' rule for this site, not one that can be easily proven.
I guess the easiest way of proving it to oneself is sending in a report via the customer service portal, with the names of suspected rule breakers and the reasons why, then see if the accounts get knocked off the high scores.

Okies into the final few levels for my fishing cape.
About 787k experience points away from level 97.
I'd like to thank all the chatters on lightnings clan chat for the nice conversations of late.
I'm going to be holding a house party when I get to level 97 and naturally all the tip-it chatters are invited.

Hello fellow Tip-iters!
I've managed to claw my way through to level 96 fishing and since then I've gone onto complete a few more quests, I've now done the Hero's quest, and both the Throne of Miscellenia and Royal Trouble quests.
Hopefully my loyal subjects will keep me minted in essential supplies whilst I'm busy either questing or fishing.
Just for reference heres some pictures.

So its back to the fishing guild for some barbarian fishing until I'm level 96.
With 620k experience to go, I'm aiming to grind all or at least a big sizable chunk out of this requirement.

Okies I made level 95 fishing some while ago.
Since then I've decided to start and complete 'The hand in the sand'.
I thought it might be a good idea to level up my defence so its somewhere reasonably close to my attack and strength. So I've been training on werewolves at Canifis and also used the bones to pick up a small amount of fletching experience. The drops are reasonable I guess, but anyway I just high-alchemy the lot and dump the loot in the bank.
