  1. I think this might (possibly) be useful. You could use this, say, if you wanted to know if you get a higher magic bonus or ranged bonus to go... fight Jad... or something... Also, say you're waiting for Castlewars to start and you want to know if this reward set is better than this set of items with a dragon platebody, etc., it would speed things up quite a bit. (I don't know what I'm talking about; I'm new to this whole "member" jargon as I'm F2P.) Support!
  2. I like this. I think all the equipment should be player made and untradeable. (You have to make the rune scimitar yourself, and while smithing it you somehow endow it with flames? That would make smithing more useful.) The anti-dragon and dragonfire shields should have some sort of defense bonus for this. I agree with swords only, because a flaming mace doesn't make sense... Or does it? Full support. (Even though I've seen this suggested how many times?)
  3. Well said. I'm so happy the new weapons and such have little effect on F2P, or else I'd be the one getting pwned. I agree with you saying the GE is good and bad at the same time.
  4. "Is this my stat restore or my weapon poison++? Let's guess!" Mwahahahahahahahahahaha!
  5. I thought of another thing you could add to construction: The Runecrafting Room (or Alter Chamber, or whatever.) Built at between 80-95 construction, you can build runecrafting altars. You can build three altars and an essence mine portal. What altar you can build is determined in some way I don't want to think about. You can only get half of the multiple runes you would normally get (rounded down). The essence mine portal will teleport you to (you guessed it,) the rune essence mine. In the mine, you need 50 mining to mine pure essence, and 20 to mine rune essence. You can also upgrade one altar to an Enhanced Altar, which can make either Catalytic or Elemental runes. Building costs: Altars: A few (10? 20? Help me!) limestone bricks (or some new material), 1000 rune (or pure) essence, and 15 talismans of the type of altar you wish to build. (Omni-talismans and the other kind that I can't remember don't work). Enhanced Altars: Double the above cost, with 10 elemental talismans (aha!) for elemental altars or 1k each other kind of rune (or something)*** for Catalytic Altars. Remember, these are upgraded altars. Elemental altars only come from air, water, earth, or fire altars. Catalytic Altars come from any other altar. Mine Portal: 10 iron bars, 150 Law runes, 3k rune essence. ***I'm so stupid! 10 Catalytic talismans... Feel free to change any of this. (I don't know much about construction, I'm F2P)
  6. I play for one reason and one reason alone: I spent money on the guidebook. :wall: And the quests... And it's free... And.......... I could go on and on and on. (It's the only MMO I've played.)
  7. A few suggestions: 1. This should only work with weapons weighing less than a few Kgs. 2. NUNCHUCKS!!!!! 3. If you have 99 strength and/or attack, you can wield dual two handed weapons. 4. Make the bonuses be like 3/4 or something (so 2 rune scimitars are equal to 1.5), so you can't 1 hit Guthan...
  8. Does runescape need level 100,000 constitution? The answer is, yes. Does runescape need a level 10 kajillion boss? (Andrew's Protector, maybe?) The answer is, only if we get 100,000 constitution AND level 100,000 dungeoneering. Maybe the mega level 120 reward is a new piece of head gear called the "Dungeon Earring" that ups your constitution and dungeoneering levels to 100,000. And gives a special attack that lets you... instantly kill any monster that's less than level 5 kajillion. (NOTE: Will only work on PVP worlds if you say "Please" and pay Jagex $5,000,000.) Grats, Telemomarques! Take a nap and go for 200M xp.
  9. This should probably be in rants... Did you give ANYONE your password? That's why most people are hacked, because they let their friend on their account/paid somebody to train skills... And if you quit, why still be a member? If it's the lower rates, 1 month of no membership pays for 5 months of extra rates.
  10. That's what I said. And I wrote this guide before resource dungeons came out. I've tested that. It uses more run energy = less trips per hour = less profit. And you'll only be getting 12 bars + 14 ore, which weighs more = less trip.... just look over there... ^^^ I'd rather get 25 bars instead of 26 if I could get more of them in the same amount of time (teleporting to bank saves time), and plus superheating at mine takes a while... and 12 bars weigh more than 12 ore.
  11. Maybe if you're a member you could change to a more realistic scale? Then there would be more rune rocks, magic trees, etc., but bank times would be longer and teles would cost more?
  12. I just thought of something... maybe the wilderness would be the size of Australia? Any thoughts about that?
  13. I like this. If this happened, maybe FINALLY my medium-ish levels would be on the highscores, allowing me to have a stat sig!
  14. Let's say the Kharidian Desert is about as big as the Sahara. It would look like this: That means Gielinor (the known part of it) is about as big as Eurasia maybe? (My calculations are probably wrong...)
  15. I just realized that I put tier 4 rapier instead of 5... I'll fix that now... So a Kratonite Spear would be better than a Fractite Rapier/Battleaxe?
  16. I usually train Dungeoneering solo, and I have a few questions. First, what is the best melee weapon type (I have 43 smithing)? Also, would a tier 4 2h be better that a tier 4 rapier, or something like that? EDIT: Tier 5 rapier... Second, is it worth it to buy Fractite ore from the Smuggler to make axes, etc., or should I explore the dungeon (small) before I collect rescources? Last, should I spend 15+ minutes making money to make full Kratonite w/ Fractite weapon, or should I just make the weapon and maybe a chainbody? Here's my stats as of last week (I've only gained like 5 levels in some other skills, only 1 dung lv)
  17. Hmmm... Maybe we could use... A TREE!!!!!!!! Those seem pretty scale-resistant...
  18. Like Al the Camel, perhaps?
  19. From what I've heard, there's an NPC near the volcano who'll note your fish...
  20. Interesting blog... But I think it's terribly inaccurate. Maybe divide the size by 100 and that'll be close...
  21. That's true, but I think the game would be much better if they made it bigger.
  22. Mining or RC, yes, I understand. But those are all boring skills to train. I need something more exciting, or a sociable skill (like woodcutting).
  23. No, no no. What I meant was after I bank all the ore that I mine, I can superheat an inventory in 15 seconds. Mining everything triples the time, so 800 is my best estimate.
  24. This is a very easy way to make money WITH xp in the three skills in the title. All you need is about 50K, some Varrock teleports, 43 magic, 30 smithing, and 15 mining. Just walk or teleport to Varrock, then go to the West Bank, grab your pickaxe and 3 air runes, a fire rune, and a law rune. Follow the red arrow and mine some iron, then teleport to the green spot and follow the blue arrow back to the bank. Repeat till you have about 50 (could do more with extra profit, but it's more expensive), then buy twice as many coal as you have iron. If you don't have any, buy some nature runes and a fire staff. Then superheat all your iron and coal into steel bars. Sell them for a 20% return. So 50 steel bars = 41k for materials -> 49k end money = 8k profit = 20%. If you used 500, then 410K for materials -> 490k end money = 80k profit = 20%. This works well for medium leveled players wanting to train different skills, I can do an inventory in about 15 seconds, so that's about 800/hr with mining and banking, that makes 128k/hr, which isn't much, but say you are a high leveled miner, and you can make 1600/hr, that's 256k/hr WITH all the experience. Like I said, good for medium leveled players.
  25. This forum is for rants, and F2P has every right to rant about stuff. It doesn't mean that anybody has to do anything, or even read this. It's just to blow off steam. I think F2P should get construction, hunter, agility, fletching, herblore, farming, slayer, thieving, and summoning. Maybe even allow them to access all quests and areas
