  1. If we're going by that, the majority of the shops shouldn't be opened then as they're not run by artists who are great in their mediums IMO. Well, most of them, anyway.
  2. It's called a rhetorical question ;) I really don't know what to say about them. It's a nice concept, I'll give you that, but you just didn't execute it as well as it could have been. You're choice of effects is poor, you shouldn't need to use filters for EVERYTHING. I'd like to say something good about it but there isn't anything. All I can do is point out the flaws and ways you can fix it. An effective way is to read tutorials and to keep practising ;)
  3. That's helpful :| Installing fonts is relatively simple. First open My Computer and navigate to C:\Windows\Fonts. You do this by clicking on C, then the windows folder than the fonts folder, obviously :) Just drag and drop your font that you've downloaded into that folder and it should automatically install. I'm not sure if that's how it works with GIMP and PDN but that's how I do it on Photoshop, though I haven't downloaded or used a font that isn't default in months :) Alternitvely here's a guide from the Microsoft website that I've edited a bit: Hope that helped :)
  4. We'll see about that :D I'm pretty sure he'll take it and I hope he does since he requested it :P
  5. Wow. Well done, dude. Really nice job so far

I doubt I can do anything with it. I might try it, however :)
  7. I could keep debating back and forth but it is my opinion, is it not? I'm pretty harsh with my Criticism, but most of the time it's constructive. I gave him tips with the text :D
  8. No. The last thing we need is people like Dallas claiming they have the knowledge required to help someone in this area and then doing the complete opposite. His work is awful, and that's the truth. If we have to be nasty, so be it. +1 The main thing I try to do with text is to make it 'blend' in. I use clipping masks mainly with my text and try to use a font that matches the style of the signature. That way the colours match the colour scheme of the signature and it just fits better. Most of the time I try to refrain from adding text to the signature, however. I don't need to go into anything else, though as its been covered. Good luck.

They did say NO PIXELS in big bold print. Anyways, gl guys, your both awsome sig makers from what I've seen  He NEVER did order a pixel. He knows what he did to anger us but I don't know why he's banned or why there even is a banned section -.-
  10. Isn't that sprite from King of Fighters or whatever that games called? Therefore not allowed as they were used in SAC#2?
  11. Thanks, everyone. Honestly, thought my signature was pretty horrible :? Now someone make me a userbar ;)

Thanks for using the order form correctly. I'm sure Skully will do a good job on it :) Nice render choice ;) Damn right
  13. BeyondGFX - A new Graphics Community Looking for a new community dedicated to Graphics? BeyondGFX might just be your answer. BeyondGFX was actually just created earlier this month. Though it has been a work in progress for almost a year! Let me fill you in on the history of the website: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ That is how the website came to be how it is today. What exactly can we offer? Well here are just some of the things BeyondGFX can offer to upcoming artists: - Tutorials, C4D's, Stocks, Wireframes, Renders and other resources - The ability to show off your work for critique by forum members - Access to all Contests, competitions & the right to challenge someone to a battle. - GFX Discussion. Get advice and help to improve your skills. And of course members not interested in graphics can still talk about pretty much anything (within reason). We also have a couple of rules which need to be obeyed: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ You can visit the website here and the forums here. At the moment, I don't have a .com domain. This is only because the website is still new and I am waiting to see if I get enough traffic and visitors. The website is where you can view my portfolio amongst other things. As for the forum, it isn't limited to just Graphics talk. There is a whole section dedicated to Off-Topic and general chit-chat. I am also looking for other artists who are interested in joining me with the portfolio. If you are interested, register on the forums and contact me somehow, please :) The website is obviously new so we don't have an incredibly large community. That is why I am here today, trying to advertise and build up a community. If you are interested in joining the community, please don't hesitate :D
  14. Unedited 1. Remoteman 2. Zargo_VI 3. Kingjoe Edited 1. Zargo_VI 2. Littleboy 3. Umm, there's no other entries? Based on personal opinion, mostly. I don't know much about the technical side of Photography :)
  15. That looks really awesome, IMO. Really liking the style and the actual design. How did you do it? :D
  16. No, no it doesn't. There's a lot of black or blank space there which doesn't help the tag. There's no proper colouring, not that that's a bad thing but in most cases, it is. Blending is actually pretty good  Text, well that font doesn't match the tag and the positioning of the text isn't working well either. Once again, there's a lack of effects with your tags. I don't know what else to say other than to keep working on it :)
  17. Hmm. I think the colours wouldn't be too bad if they were less bright. It doesn't hurt my eyes at all, they're just not appealling. I don't really like the effects, but I'm curious to know what you did to make this.
  18. I thought it might've been that. Thank god, cause that would've looked stupid :)
  19. It's the 22nd here, can I still enter? If so: [hide=Entry][/hide] If not, aww :(
  20. Yeah, I know I could have skipped them. But no one was doing them and I didn't wanna just leave them..
  21. I don't specialise in this field of art, but after some analysing I figured I could try give you some help. It seems you have the background covered. The sky and clouds look alright and are definitley better than the foreground. The mountains are pretty horrendous. The texture and colours are pretty awful IMO. [hide=#1][/hide] Pretty good, mate. Really liking this one apart from a few jagged and pointed bits on the mountains and some of the texture not looking quite as good as it could. I'd say it's your best if not one of your best =D> [hide=#2][/hide] What's going on there? Why does it repeat itself at the bottom? Is that an attempt at reflection in the water? [hide=#3][/hide] I like this one. But yet again the texture and colours of the mountains don't look too good. Most of your mountains look like they have had some ridiculous filter applied to them IMO :( [hide=#4][/hide] Pretty much the same except I'm not liking the clouds either. They look sharp on the edges and don't blend in properly. The water doesn't look nice either and the right side looks really bright especially the water. Keep trying, I guess. You look like you have some decent potential and there are obviously a few people around here who know a thing or two about this so maybe you could ask them :D
  22. I despise the fact that you have all these smileys in there. It makes me not want to take you seriously and it doesn't make you look very professional at all. I'm liking the design, though. The lightbox feature you're trying to incorporate should fit well with the design. But why do you have your heading and little navbar repeat after every section? I don't like it at all and think you should remove that. Other than that, good luck with the website and well done so far =D>
  23. What the hell was the point of me being in the shop then if I'm apprently meant to skip the orders? I wanted to be in the shop to help make the signatures, not make all of them. I tried my best to make all of them because I thought the other people were going to end up helping me. That didn't happen. Not trying to be bitter or anything. Its been fun but it's time for change. Good luck, guys and girls :)
  24. Okay so no one else was making them and I'm the only person in the shop. I should just skip them? -.-
  25. I'm leaving this shop and joining Skully. Dunno when it's gunna be official though. Cause I'm pretty tired of making every signature and I can't handle the workload.
