  1. Any PvP combat minigame or the crate next to the Catherby bank. You can't fight in a 1x1 area.
  2. Any information on gecko colour 5 would be great. :-k
  3. You don't pick it up. It hatches when you find it, so I would assume you need 72 Summoning to even get the egg "event".
  4. "A baby phoenix and it's as cute as buttons!"
  5. Recently got 97 Slayer. I'm getting 89 Summoning today. I got a cute phoenix today too. If you have Summoning pets you can help me too: viewtopic.php?f=113&t=778259
  6. All pets in this guide require the completion of Wolf Whistle in order to raise, along with their other requirements. You may only have ONE of any kind of pet at a time, and like all Summoning pets, they require constant feeding, even after they grow into adults. It should be noted that the number of pets you can own at any one time is dependent on your Summoning level. With every 10 levels you gain, you may keep an additional 1 pet. Levels 1 - 10 = 2 pets Levels 11 - 20 = 4 pets Levels 21 - 30 = 6 pets Levels 31 - 40 = 8 pets Levels 41 - 50 = 10 pets Levels 51 - 60 = 12 pets Levels 61 - 70 = 14 pets Levels 71 - 80 = 16 pets Levels 81 - 90 = 18 pets Levels 91 - 99 = 20 pets Both versions of the phoenix eggling will not count towards your pet limit. With this limit on pets, at 91 and above Summoning you will able to have one of every single pet currently in the game. This guide is MAINLY to see what the various pets and their colours are ingame. DOGS There are six different breeds of dogs that can be raised immediately after the completion of Wolf Whistle. All six breeds have three possible colours. These dogs eat any kind of raw meat with the exception of fish. Despite the clear fact that all these dogs are very different, they are all housed under the tier of "dog" this being so, you may only own ONE of the six breeds at any one time. Summoning Req: 4 Other Req: NONE Talking info: 14 Summoning Additional info: Puppies may be purchased from any Pet store for the "steep" price of 500gp. Unlike cats, the colour you receive is random, even with the Ring of Charos. The breeds of dogs, both puppy and full grown, along with the three colour variations are as follows. BULLDOG DALMATION GREYHOUND LABRADOR SHEEPDOG TERRIER SLAYER PETS With the addition of the mini-game Soul Wars, Slayers gained the ability to trade in Slayer trophies and zeal points for a Summoning pet version of the trophy turned in. All Slayer trophies with the exception of the King Black Dragon and the Kahlphite Queen are able to be exchanged for pets. Similar to the Raven (mentioned later) these pets are somewhat 'skill exclusive' as the only way to get them is via Slayer. Slayer pets count as their own unique pet, being that, one could (if they wanted) have all five. CREEPING HAND The creeping hand is the Slayer pet with the lowest requirements. It does not grow so once you get it it will be at the same size it will always be. Despite not having a mouth, the creeping hand is still able to indulge on it's favourite food, leather gloves. Summoning Req: 4 Other Req: 5 Slayer, ability to attain a Crawling hand and 5 Soul Wars zeal points. Talking info: 14 Summoning Additional info: The crawling hand item can be obtained from any of the various 'Hand' creatures, their levels range from 7 to 90. They are located in the Canfis Slayer tower or the Blood Altar tunnels. The creeping hand has one possible colour. MINITRICE Next up in the Slayer pet area, the minitrice, which as you may expect is the pet version of the cockatrice. The minitrice will remain mini for it's whole life and never grow. Minitrice are fed on one of the cockatrice's most notable drops; limpwurt roots. Summoning Req: 4 Other Req: 25 Slayer, ability to attain a Cockatrice head and 25 Soul Wars zeal points. Talking info: 14 Summoning Additional info: Cockatrice are located in the Fremennik Slayer dungeon. The minitrice has one possible colour. BABY BASILISK Continuing our climb up the Slayer pet chain, the baby basilisk is next up. If you haven't caught the pattern by now... the baby basilisk remains a baby, forever. It will never grow up. This baby is fed the eyes of newts. Summoning Req: 4 Other Req: 40 Slayer, ability to attain a Basilisk head and 40 Soul Wars zeal points. Talking info: 14 Summoning Additional info: Basilisks are found in either the Fremennik Slayer dungeon or down the Smokey Well. The baby basilisk comes in one colour. BABY KURASK The baby kurask is the second highest Slayer pet. As every other Slayer pet, it does not grow. This vicious baby is fed on a diet of bones. Normal bones only, not big, dragon or any other variation. Summoning Req: 4 Other Req: 70 Slayer, ability to attain a Kurask head and 70 Soul Wars zeal points. Talking info: 14 Summoning Additional info: Basilisks are found in either the Fremennik Slayer dungeon or down the Smokey Well. The kurask pet comes in a single colour. ABYSSAL MINION The Slayer pet to end them all. The abyssal minion, as you might expect, is the pet version of the legendary Abyssal demon. This pet of the abyss does not grow and eats ashes. If the ashes come from other demons then this pet is a cannibal. :ohnoes: The rumours about this pet are in fact true. It does give free abyssal whips to it's owner. :-$ Summoning Req: 4 Other Req: 85 Slayer, ability to attain an Abyssal head and 85 Soul Wars zeal points. Talking info: 14 Summoning Additional info: Abyssal demons can be found in the Canfis Slayer tower or in Abyssal Space. This pet comes in one colour. GECKO The gecko is the next pet available to fledgling Summoners who do not wish to partake in Soul Wars or do not have a trophy to exchange. The gecko comes in five different colour combinations. Geckos only eat flies as a baby, but when the gecko grows into an adult it will be able to eat beetle bits in addition to flies. Summoning Req: 10 Other Req: 27 Hunter Talking info: 20 Summoning Additional info: Geckos are box trap (no bait required) at various Hunting areas across Karamja. The colour combinations of geckos are as follows. NOTE: The brown and orange gecko look nearly identical on low detail. For this reason, the brown gecko is shown in high detail. Click on the high detail picture to see the low detailed version. PLATYPUS The platypus is another pet available to low level Summoners, and is the first pet in the guide that requires an additional quest in order to raise. While the platypus is a baby it will eat either raw fish or ground fishing bait. As an adult it will continue to eat raw fish but will now only eat normal fishing bait as opposed to ground. This duck billed, egg laying mammal comes in three different colours. Summoning Req: 10 Other Req: As a First Resort... complete. Talking info: 20 Summoning Additional info: Platypi are box trapped (lured with smouldering lavender) outside of Oo'glog The colour variations are as follows. BROAV The broav is a little piggy of a pet, and it used briefly in the quest "While Guthix Sleeps" When the broav is captured it is in it's final state, it will never grow. The broav has a diet of Mort Myre Mushrooms. It only has one possible colour. Summoning Req: 21 Other Req: While Guthix Sleeps started. Additional info: The broav is... trapped in a big hole with a Mort Myre Mushroom. Once trapped, take it to a Hunting Expert and she will key it for you. Talking info: 31 Summoning PENGUIN This cold bird a relatively simple and easy going pet, they all are, aren't they? This is the first bird pet and will require the egg to be incubated at a Pet shop. The penguin's diet, both baby and adult, is raw fish. This antarctic pet comes in 3 different colours. If an adult penguin is taken to various snowy locations in Runescape, it will slide on it's stomach sometimes. Summoning Req: 30 Other Req: NONE Talking info: 40 Summoning Additional info: Penguin egg obtained at Ardougne Zoo. The different colours of this pet are as follows. GIANT CRAB Ahh... the giant crab. It is what it sounds like, a giant crab. Like the penguin, this large crustacean has a diet of raw fish as both a baby and an adult. This pet comes in a total of five different colours for you picking. Also, if you talk with your giant crab while wearing a crab claw and/or crab helmet you will have an "easter egg" conversation in which your crab will deny it has a weak point that can be hit for massive damage. :-$ Summoning Req: 40 Other Req: Recipe For Disaster - Pirate Pete started, 32 Slayer and Morges unlocked. Talking info: 50 Summoning Additional info: Kill Mogres until a Crunchy claw token is dropped. Take this token to Nung at the crab pen and exchange it for your very own giant crab pet. The various colours of this pet are as follows. RAVEN To some, the most elusive of all pets. The much sought after Raven is, like most birds, fed on a diet of fishing bait. Ground as a baby but un-ground as an adult. Like almost every bird, the egg must be incubated in a Pet shop. This dark bird comes in a total of three colours, each with two variations, in the form of a plumage. Summoning Req: 50 Other Req: NONE Talking info: 60 Summoning Additional info: The Raven's egg is obtained via bird nest. Unlike pets covered later, the Raven egg is NOT gotten via the Kingdom of Miscellania OR Wyson the Gardener. The different colours are as follows. [RA 4] [RA 5] SQUIRREL The furry nut thief itself. The playful little squirrel can be yours should you choose. If you do take a squirrel to be your own, you will be feeding it nuts, and lots of them. In fact, they are currently the only pet that eats nuts, the diet from baby to adult does not change. These furry little critters come in five colours. Summoning Req: 60 Other Req: 29 Hunter Talking info: 70 Summoning Additional info: Net trapped (nuts as bait) at various Hunter spots across the world. The colours of the furry friends are as follows. GOD BIRDS The answer to the long asked egg question. God birds, as you might expect, repressent the three major gods of Runescape. Saradomin, Guthix and Zamorak. The god birds are currently the only pet to have more than one growing stage. The chick stage is fed on ground fishing bait while the bird (middle) and adult stages eat normal ground bait. The colour of your bird egg will determine what bird hatches. Blue for the Saradomin Owl, green for the Guthix Raptor, and red for the Zamorak Hawk. These eggs, as you might expect, are hatched in a Pet shop incubator. These pets have one possible colour PER god, however, like dogs, they are all considered god birds. That being said, only one of these birds can be owned at a time. HOWEVER. Prior to Summoning: Batch Two, players were able to hatch one bird of each god. On March 17th of 2009, over a year after the release of Summoning and these pets, God Birds gained the ability to "protect" you at God Wars Dungeon, effectivly replacing a Zamorak or Saradomin item in your setup, while not that amazing for boss hunting, it can prove useful for those who hunt Aviansie and Spiritual Mages. Summoning Req: 70 Other Req: NONE Talking info: 80 Summoning Additional info: Eggs are obtained via bird's nest found from Woodcutting OR the Kingdom of Miscellania but NOT Wyson the Gardener. SARADOMIN OWL GUTHIX RAPTOR ZAMORAK HAWK EX-EX-PARROT "He's kicked the bucket, he's shuffled off 'is mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisible!! THIS IS AN EX-PARROT!!" That however, is only an ex-parrot. What we've got here is an ex-ex-parrot. Which is, a parrot that died, and has been brought back to life. In short; a zombie parrot. This unique pet has a diet of rocks, which are cut from a large rock slab found in the jungles of Mos Le'Harmless. The parrot never grows and only has one possible colour. Summoning Req: 71 Other Req: Rocking Out complete Talking info: 71 (None) Additional info: Speak to Bill Tech after completing the quest to get a magical cage, then speak to 50 Ships Mufasa to get your hands on an ex-parrot. Place the ex-parrot in the cage and take it to the stone slap outside of the Cave Horror's cave. Use said parrot + cage combo on this slab and TA DA! Take some time here to chisel some food off the slab for your parrot. Stone Slab location PHOENIX EGGLING Great bird of fire! That's this pet alright. This unique pet is obtained in an unique way. Via the Distraction and Diversions mini-game: Phoenix's Lair. Due to the nature of this game you only have one chance to get this pet every 24 hours. Also, due to how new this is, the rarity of this pet is also unknown. The phoenix eggling eats ashes. That's right, ashes. While the phoenix may never grow up, there are two variations of this pet. The cute phoenix and the mean phoenix. There is only one possible colour combination for both cute and mean phoenixes. Summoning Req: 72 Other Req: In Pyre Need complete and 51 Slayer Talking info: 82 Summoning Additional info: When you randomly stumble upon the phoenix egg you will able to either clap at the egg or kick the egg. Clapping at it will gain you a cute phoenix and kicking it, a mean one. Jagex states that players may have BOTH versions of the phoenix at one time. CUTE PHOENIX MEAN PHOENIX RACCOON The raccoon is the first pet you can get that requires more than one million Summoning experience. It's also a pretty cool pet in my opinion. With it's skillful paws and natural mask, it's the must have pet for any thief. Should you task yourself with getting a 'coon of your own you'll want to stock up on raw fish, raw meat or any combination of the two. This pet comes in a total of three colours. Summoning Req: 80 Other Req: 27 Hunter Talking info: 90 Summoning Additional info: Take a box trap (no bait required) and set it up among the baby raccoons, one will wander in to investigate. The colours of the raccoons are as follow. VULTURE The vulture is the final bird you'll be raising. The vulture is also a pet not often seen for whatever reason, be it the level, it's looks, or most high level summoners don't use pets. As almost all previous birds, the egg is hatched in the incubator of the pet store. The baby eats ground fishing bait and the adult eats normal fishing bait. The vulture comes in three different colours with two variations per colour, in the form of tipped or non-tipped beaks. Summoning Req: 85 Other Req: NONE Talking info: 95 Summoning Additional info: Vultures drop their own egg, so get out in the desert and start killing them. Keep in mind that while they are in flight they cannot be hit with melee. The different colours are as follows. CHAMELEON The chameleon is the pet that changes depending on where you are. This pet is another pet not often seen much like the vulture. The egg of the chameleon is hatched in the pet incubator. The baby and adult both eat flies and only flies. While the chameleon has a grand total of ten colours it only has one variation. Summoning Req: 90 Other Req: NONE Talking info: 100 (99 + 1 boost from cape) Additional info: The egg of the chameleon can be picked up on Cairn Island, but can ONLY be picked up if you have 90+ Summoning. MONKEYS Want a pet that shares around 97% of your DNA? Then this is the pet for you. The cheeky little monkeys can be found all across Karamja. The monkey, as you might expect, eats bananas as both a baby and an adult. Monkeys come in ten different variations, with each variation coming in one colour. Summoning Req: 95 Other Req: 27 Hunter Talking info: M'Speak Amulet Additional info: Lay a box trap (banana as bait) and a young monkey will soon be drawn into your trap. The variations are as follows. [MA 1] [MB 2] [MB 3] [MB 4] [MA 4] [MB 5] [MA 5] [MB 6] [MA 6] [MB 7] [MA 7] [MB 8] [MA 8] [MB 9] [MA 9] [MB 10] [MA 10] DRAGONS The biggest and the baddest pet in the game. In fact, the dragon is the Summoning Skill Cape in pet form, as one must be a master of the skill in order to raise this pet. Once you get your egg, set it in the trusty Pet Shop incubator, and wait. The dragon eats raw fish, raw meat and raw chicken, raw whatever. Lots of it too. The colours of these pets are the same as all (living) leather dragons. Green, blue, red and black. Summoning Req: 99 Other Req: NONE Talking info: N/A Additional info: Dragon eggs are dropped from, you guessed it, dragons. The colour of the dragon determines the colour of the dragon pet, obviously. The dragon eggs can only be gotten as a drop if you have 99 Summoning. Colours are as follows. GREEN DRAGON [GH] [GB] BLUE DRAGON [bluH] [bluB] RED DRAGON BLACK DRAGON [blaH] Note: Some images of baby animals may not match up with the proper adult animal AT THIS TIME. If you want to help... *** All pictures must be saved in PNG format *** *** Inventory shot, Following shot, and Summoning tab shot needed *** *** Please take all pictures on the HIGHEST brightness setting *** This is what I'm looking for in a screenshot. In this screenshot I can get both a picture of the pet and I have their Summoning tab picture. I'd prefer the pet to be 'photographed' from a side, a slight angle is alright though, look at the guide for examples. While I would prefer the inventory picture to be empty of all clutter, if you have items in your inventory I would like it if you had the 9 spaces around the pet empty. 7. How cute is it?
  8. Re post it. You have the mean one, I have the cute one.
  9. Ghrim buys them for 110k. Still not sure why they sell for 1m exactly.
  10. What's up with them right now? Why are they selling for 1m street price?
  11. 99 Prayer. In the future. I couldn't think of anything else to say. @ Maulmachine: I don't say where I am because I don't want to talk about where or why I'm here. I know by saying that and even this it will only stir up more questions and stuff. I might explain it briefly in a blog post. But as I said, I don't like talking about it.
  12. Ok. It's not a choice, it's who I am. It's no more a choice for me than it is for you. I'd be more than willing to talk about it with people but this thread ISN'T the place. Yes I am lesbian, I wasn't exactly trying to hide that, in fact it's pretty obvious in my blog here. That being said can we PLEASE keep the discussion to 2 non-Runescape partyhats, 99 mage and banked 99 prayer?
  13. The "discussion" point isn't exactly so much "The G.E. is messed up" it's more of a "Here's an answer, how would you react?" As I said, a lot of people would freak out and say that Jagex gave in to the evil merchants and yadda yadda. And some people would just say "Finally! *sells item X* " It's Jagex's game, so we as players only control so much of the market. A lot of people hate junk traders, but how would the reaction be to a manual change of prices? * Discontinued rares (Mainly partyhats) * Treasure Trail (Mainly 3rd age, Animal masks no longer applicable) * New-ish items (Half the Spirit Shields and Dragon claws being the most recent) With new items we'll say that there's a one week period to let the "new item hype" die down, and a second week to monitor the economy (both trades and G.E.) and then decide if the item should be adjusted. Same thing for if an item is changed, we'll say, for example, that dragon armour is given a set effect, we'll also assume it's a good set effect. The armour pieces would rocket it price and probably become "junk trade only" items. (This is hypothetical remember)
  14. How would the stats of Karil's be if black d'hide didn't exist? For the sake of statistical argument we'll say that black d'hide and blue d'hide didn't exist (As there was/is no 70 or 50 requirement melee or mage armour) We'll also say that red d'hide was the stuff of legend, only the elite had access to it. So for the most part, green d'hide was the tired and true armour of rangers. Then all of a sudden... KARIL!!! With it's massive defence and range bonuses it obliterates green d'hide and even soars past the legendary red d'hide. But no. That's not the case because there IS black d'hide and it's beyond easy to get. From a statistical point of view, rangers had Barrow class armour for a looooong time. The special blows, I'll give it that, but the stats are only bad because of how good the pre-existing armour was. And Armadyl is out now, so whatever.
  15. The PKing "honour" code is just a way to rationalize the inability to constantly create new strategies to work in new situations OR train their stats high enough to hit through the armour and/or defence. If they eat you hit them harder and more often. If they run you hold them. If they pray you smite them or change attack style. If they mage you mage back or range. Change and adapt. Or whine, complain, make rules for a lawless land and die.
  16. Everyone is always talking about how the G.E. is broken and prices are waaay off what they should be, dragon claws, 3rd age, and so on. Yet people also complain about Jagex controls the economy and set items at prices as opposed to letting the player control it. So, say Jagex comes in and manually changes the prices of some of these out of whack items and set them to the street price. Some people would probably say it's one of the greatest things ever, while some would say it's typical Communist Jagex (the G.E. is anything but Communism, uneducated people...) changing things against the will of the player. Personally I'd like to see the laissez faire market continue, but the percentage an item can raise or fall needs to be changed, especially on new items such as dragon claws. But when junk trading is the sole way to get an item, the G.E. cannot change and adjust. So when an item reaches that "junk only" status and is almost NEVER sold in the G.E. do you think Jagex should tweak the price in the G.E. to try to "combat" junk trading?
  17. My girlfriend's parents had Christmas crackers and we cracked them last night with dinner.
  18. Keep in mind that rangers had had 70 requirement armour (black d'hide) before Barrows came out. The other two classes had 60 and 40 as their highest requirement (Dragon [60] and Mystic [40/20]) respectively. And at that time in the game Dragon armour was... a pretty price. Karil might be bad, but to compare it to black d'hide, which shares the 70 skill requirement is wrong. To compare it accurately Karil's should be compared to either red d'hide or green d'hide.
  19. Nice job. The mining level alone is amazing, the crafting is pretty cool too. And you can't beat a 99 in a mostly good skill.
  20. I gave the orange one to my girlfriend and we don't need to make other girls jealous of us. And I'm getting back off to re-join her now.
  21. You can't have mithril dragon pets.
  22. I don't know. My girlfriend's parents had them, we live in Canada though so they're not UK only.
  23. I got 99 Mage a while ago but never made a thread. And I also have enough bones for 99 Prayer now. But since I'm spending the holidays and new year with my girlfriend I might not get it for a while.
