Getting 55 slayer, i had alot of trouble with pyrefiends, they hit mega accuratly, and pretty high.. I'm usually pretty good at finding safe spots, but I couldnt find anything useable.. And I guess that if I want slayer on my pure, I will have to range, no chance I can melee.. oh well

Can a pure, with 1 defence, efficiently do slayer still? I've gotten to 55 using mainly range, and dumping unwanted (or very hard) tasks. I have 52 prayer, so I guess I can pray against them, but im wanting to train my melee up along with slayer.. Is this possible, or a pipe dream, for someone with 1 Defence?

Honestly, I've just always prefered the extra half an hour or so that you can squeeze out of super restores, Its what i've always used to range them, and i've always been very very happy with them, so I was assuming they would work just as nicely for Mage. I'm certainly going to try both methods (Dart and Gaunts) Thanks for all the responses, Gonna get started on writting a small yet informative guide after a few experimental trips.

Would avianses be a particularly wise choice for this? If I get enough feek back, and with some extensive training runs, I would like to write a guide. But that will only happen if this actually works.. To myself I see no problem other than the fact that you will never get as many Addy bars as you would ranging them, however you would also most likely break about even from your runes.. at least thats the theory. I got to wave 42, there is NO way I could survive the 360 with TWO 90's.. how can this be done?!

Hey, with the lack of any "decent" guides out there for accounts with my stats, I was wondering if you lovely people would provide me with a few hints and tips. Firstly, when I get to waves that have a 360(mage) and 90's(range).. How does one survive, remembering that I do only have 1 defence Is it possible to avoid being hit by the rangers? because I can see them doing ALOT of damage too me, just wondering how I should go about doing this. Any tips on this would be much appreciated -My stats- hp - 69 range - 78 def - 1

Used for turoths and kurasks aparantally, however ive seen, and been told, that they are good to use against other things, avis, dragons etc.. Is this true? If so, how good are they in comparison to say, mith bolts?

So, is it no longer worth the 1.4kish per dose? Would i be better in finding another way to do barrows? My method using brews contains the following 9 brews 4 super restores Is that gonna eat into my profit a bit too much now? I can ususally open about 5-6 chests, more if i get lucky

Yo Recently started putting my equipment together to start barrows-ing again, haven't done it since January. So today I looked at the prices for Sara brews, OMG have they gone up by about 3k since January? i dont remember them being ~5.7k for a (4) dose pot. Someone with a good memory might be able to tell me what the prices actually were about 6-7 months back Thanks

Quick question, Does the damage dealt from monsters that have magic based attacks, (jellies etc) depend solely on your magic defence level and your magic level, or does your defense level play a part in the damage dealt? In other words, If two players (player x, and player y) had the same magic level, same magic defense bonus, but player x had 1 defence, and player y had 99, would there be a difference in damage dealt? hope you guys can understand what im getting at, Thanks ;-D

May i suggest, whilst the prices are high, you do a few hours of good solid granite mining (500g pieces) prices yesterday were 1602gp ea, you can get 27 in 8 minutes (at 63 mining) which translates to roughly 400k an hour, plus pretty decent mining xp, (id saying its better than powermining iron sometimes) To do this efficiently, you need a camulet, gained from the quest Enahkras Lament, just gather 40-50 buckets of dung from the camels in Pollnivneach, use them on your camulet everytime it runs out of charges, and also get a fair few dueling rings for castlewars tele.. Take with you 1 waterskin (full) and wear full desert gear and your pickaxe.. mine untill u have a full invent of 500g granite pieces, tele to castlewars, bank, tele back to the rocks.. Simple no?
