  1. Even so, you aren't losing a lot of money, dying while rcing. The f2p quests are enough for them I think. Maybe one or two harder quests would be nice, but let's face it. It's not going to happen. More quests are one of the main perks that made me become a member.
  2. This rant is three rants in itself. This is also a very long first post, but I ask that before you post, you read all the way through. This is also my first rant on this name. All the others were on my over TIF account, which I forgot the password to, and wasn't able to recover it. If there is anything that I have done wrong mods, please either post here and tell me, or message me through the forums. Otherwise, PM me ingame. Have fun reading. 1st RC PKers 'low lifes' 'scum' 'noobs' 'geys' 'no lifers' 'miserable b*****ds' among others... I have had enough of the insults and abuse thrown at rc pkers. It is called the lowest thing on runescape, worse than macroing, begging, or scamming. Why? RC pkers are no different to any other pker. They are attempting to kill a player in a PVP zone, risking all but maybe one of their items, on the off chance that they can kill the player. And for the troubles and abuse? A glory, a tiara, maybe some pouches (do they apppear?), and some pure ess. Maybe any other item the RC'ter took like a pick, or axe to get through. It isn't like the players are taking abbysal whips, full third age armour, and furies to the abyss. You lose in one run... what? 75kish? They are doing an honest part of runescape, and a role no different from people that kill you when trying to kill green dragons. You go into the wildy, and you may get killed. If you don't want to risk it, use another method than the abyss. It is meant to be dangerous to get to, through, and to again. You are crafting runes quicker than any way except runners. Therefore, there should be more at risk. Leave the RC pkers alone. Stop calling them names, and throwing abuse at them. P.S. I have never PK'ed anyone in my runescape life. Not on my main, not on pures, never. 2nd Internet Yes. You are playing on an MMORPG where 99.9% of the people you meet will never know you, or meet you in real life. Therefore, you have no consequences to any of your actions if you watch your step with the rules. Why then, do people feel the need to act however they want to? The people who play this game are real people, if they are 8, or 65, male, female, of any colour and religon, of any part of the world. If you act however you want, you may annoy the hell out of someone, and what consequences are there for you? None. Although you can't do certain things to people, you can still insult them safely. Such insults as 'fat', 'no lifer', 'thick gey' and other insults are maybe not all against the rules, but they are still insults. People can be insulted, and hurt, because of the things you can say when doing what you want. You want to hunt red chins, and someone is already there. You don't bother switching worlds, or asking them if you could share the chins. No. You attack the chins, ruining this persons training in your spite, and there is not a thing they can do about it. Eventually, they will leave or hop worlds, and you get your own way. This can be many things, like the cannon at rock crabs/dags. You decide that you want to train your meele stats, and go to a not so dangerous place to do it, where the monsters are agressive and multi combat. You stay training for ten minutes, and someone hops to your world with a cannon. They then set it up, and competely own every monster within range. Your training is ruined, and you ask the cannoner to hop worlds, because you were here first. 'make me noob' is all you can expect to here from them, and you decide not to bother, and hop. At nearly every world you go to someone puts a cannon, and doesn't care one damn bit about you. This can take many other forms, such as earlier. I am ardrounge square, stealing cakes, which I use as my main training food (free, heal as much a lobbie, and can upgrade to swordie heal with a cheap choc bar). Someone is killing paladins for training (a friend of mine), and someone comes up and trys to pickpocket them. The paladin dies before he can pick the pocket, and my friend apologises. Her response? 'stupid black jew' (I apologise if this offends anyone, but this is what he said, I am only quoting it. If it is not allowed on the forums, will a mod please tell me, and I will remove it. Once again, I apologise to anyone that gets offended by it) We both immediatly reported him, and continue training without talking to him, but he follows my friend around, shouting out names and various abuse. Some was very offensive, but there was nothing we could do about it, except adding the person to our ignore list. He then logs out, and repeatedly comes back with various account names, saying some very offensive things as he comes. My friend and I add each person to our ignore list, but with four years of runescape under our belt, our ignore lists are full, and everytime we add someone, we have to delete another, who then spams our private chat (which is always on due to selling on forums) with abuse similar to the newly added player. The ignore list should have at least 250 spots on it, and even then, they can fill up fast with the community now. If you are the type of person that says what they want, to who they want, I ask that you rethink this. This is meant to be a fun game, not another thing that we get insulted and abused on. I get enough of it at school, and I do not need it in a game. 3rd Jagex Why does everyone hate Jagex? I have seen so many rants, so many players, all with the same opinion of the creaters of the game they play. Many reasons are given as to why they hate Jagex, and in this tread, I will name the most used ones. F2P VS P2P - many f2pers, and some p2pers, have ranted about things they have wanted for the f2p version of the game. Bank space, new quests, new skills, new items... the list is nearly endless. Bank space is meant to be limited for f2pers, as the extra bank space of p2p is another perk for the people that pay for them game. This is how Jagex designed it, and that is the way they will keep it. Rants for more f2p bank space is not going to work. Don't bother. Quests - the f2pers moan that they don't get enough quests. The p2pers moan that the quests they get are quickie quests that Jagex shouldn't even both making, and that the rewards are useless or rubbish. f2pers. You will not get any more quests than you already have, and to be honest, though they can all be done in a few hours, you have enough quests for a game that you are not paying to play. p2pers. The quests Jagex releases are not quickie quests, as you complain. Was recipe for disaster a quickie quest that they shouldnt have bothered making? Was cold war a rubbish, boring quest? Was MEP2 a quest that could be done easily? No. In my opinion, nearly every quest Jagex has realeased has been either entertaining, challenging or rewarding. Sometimes a mixture of two or all, as proved by recipe for disaster. Macroers - one of the most despised characters in runescape. Everyone hates them, tries to get them banned, but to the players, Jagex has done nothing against the war that holds strong against the war between them and the macroers. You go to a f2p world, and what do you see at willows/yews? Loads of brown haird, green topped characters, swinging at the trees with their axes, and not answering and question aimed at them. In spite of this, Jagex has banned over 20k bots according to them, and the recent shop update, though angering many players, and ruining merchants, has helped stop the shop bots. Jagex is olding strong against the tide of macroers, and though more are being made every day, Jagex will keep banning them. The only thing we need to worry about is if we need a new account, and the macroers have taken EVERY name left. Not likely to happen. Anyway, do you complain when after 99 firemaking, or 99 fletching, you look on the forums, and there are so many people that are selling them. I would reckon that 33% of all willow logs on the forums were collected by macroers. (this is not a confirmed percentage. I am just reckoning that with the amount of macroers, compared to those that do not macro and sell, this is the percentage of logs that came origonally from a macroer) Anyway, if you read ALL the way through the rant, thank you for taking the time. If you just skipped to this point, don't bother posting, as you will not have anything worth the post count to add. I expect this to end in a flame war, and eventually, for this thread to be locked, but I wanted to let my opinion be known. Have fun flaming me. My private is always turned to on, so PM me with flames/compliments if you want.
