Alright, here it is. Right now I'm in the World 1 Draynor Manor living room, where I'll be hanging out with other players until 3:00 am. Then I'll make my way to the Falador Party room and chat with other players until 3:30, at which time I'll deposit my belongings (I converted everything I own to 1,015,000 gp). Then I'll say my goodbyes and log off for the final time at 4 am. Hurry! UPDATE: The Party was a success. At first I stayed at Draynor Manor (which was my favorite place to hang out since Runescape first came out) until 3. Then I came over to the party room and talked with my friends for half an hour. As far as I know, the only person from these forums that saw my post and came was Sungodis. I found someone to record the event for me (I'll post the vid here as soon as he puts it up on youtube) and then I deposited 1,010,000 gp and pulled the lever. Keep in mind that this was in world 1. Almost immediately people began teleporting there and it filled up more than any party I've ever seen. I tried to answer all the questions about who was hosting the party and everything but there were too many noobs pretending it was them. After it was over I said my goodbyes and logged off from Runescape forever.

My dad died the other day and I realized that I've been spending way too much time playing this game. I'm going to host an event on at 3 a.m., December 23st, 2007 at the Party Room in Falador, World 1, right before I quit. Members and Free Players are welcome. These video game items and money don't matter, and I hope other people realize this as well. I hope that they will give up some of their own valuables after I deposit all of mine (1m+) to show their support. As for what I'm going to put into the chest, I'm not sure yet. I might convert all of my ores, bars and runes to gp to make room for the things other people might put in, or I might not. Please don't spam the chest with worthless things, sell them to the general store and deposit the gp instead. Please don't pull the lever early. Give something up for the cause, and free yourself from the illusion that virtual items really matter. After conversing with other players from 3 - 3:29 a.m. (-5:00 GMT) and waiting for the value of treasures in the chest to increase a bit, I will deposit my items and pull the lever, ending my (almost) 7 year runescape career forever.

Mining coal in the wilderness is getting tough. As if the Skeletons and Hobgoblins weren't annoying enough, now I have to deal with Revenants that are far more powerful than any player who has ever bothered me.

I saw some moron in a bank telling people to follow him to win 1m. Normally I would ignore this, but for some reason I became curious to see what would happen. Afterwards, I ate a meat pie FTW.

That's exactly what was happening and what I am talking about. The picture I posted where it was catching up with all the hits that happened took place when I was loading up firefox. Misleading, I know, but hey. Thanks :)

Wow, I'm glad you made an article about this. The same thing happened to me. In my last Runescape account, I included my last name in my username. It just so happens that some people could find my last name offensive (I won't say what it is because I don't want to give personal information away anymore), but IT IS MY ACTUAL LAST NAME IN REAL LIFE. And you know what happened? They locked my account. And I was even a member. I couldn't believe it; all the months of hard work I had put into the account, only to have it banned because I put my "offensive" last name as part of my username. Why don't you go ahead and ban Zezima while you're at it, Jagex? That's his last name too. Maybe in an alternate universe it could be deemed offensive, so why don't you go ahead and ban him? Silly Noobex. After that happened I quit Runescape for two years and I only came back and made a new account about two weeks ago. Btw thanks for not approving my forum account activation Qeltar. :roll:

I knew someone would come around and say that. Brand new computer, high speed cable internet connection. And this is a discussion about the recent rise of lag in runescape, not a rant. This is why I hate forums: people always want to avoid the actual topic and talk about the motives of the poster, where it should have been posted, or something obvious that the poster felt didn't need to be said but always winds up saying anyway because people feel the need to post the obvious. There, you wanted a rant and now you have one, lets get back on topic now.

Why has it been lagging so much in Runescape lately? Is it because of the Grand Exchange? Jagex better fix it.
