  1. DUDE! This happened 15 minutes away from my house!!!! It's all over the local papers. I think it's terrible that a person would name his kid that, though.
  2. Thanks. I am going to do slayer and summoning first. I always wanted that Zamorak raptor :) Can you suggest a good setup? I was thinking either dharock's or guthan's with a whip; can't decide.
  3. Hey good ol' tip.it, I've been trying to find something fun to do in RS for a while now, and I can't seem to find anything to hold my attention fo more than a few days. Am I completely ADD, or what? XD Seriously, though, if you have any suggestions as to what I could do with these stats: Unlocked: Ancient Magics Lunar Magics 80 qp  12m geepees Thanks! I am just wondering whether or not to give up, since I can't seem to get very far. Thanks!
  4. I was just reading the guide, "A Skiller's Life" in the General guides section, and I came across this: Crafting fires nets approximately 30k experience an hour, roughly 100 trips per hour. Loss is CAPPED at 8 million using this method, including cost of dueling rings, super energies and essence. In terms of hour and cost, from shortest time to longest: Combo Runes: 130 hours - 60 million. Fires: 193 hours - 8 million. Laws (66): 205 hours - 60 million. Airs (16): 274 hours - 35 million PROFIT. Natures: 384 hours - 128 million PROFIT. Is this accurate? I would make Natures, but as you can see, the time frame is enormous. I would like to get this done in my 120 or so days of membership left, so playing 2 hours per day should get me there using fires. My budget is approximately 12 million. Is it possible to get from level 54 to 91 in 193 hours, spending only 8 million? Thanks in advance. EDIT: Link- Here is the guide
  5. I only have 65 defense and 70 hitpoints, so....lol. Yes you can die. I also only wear red dragonhide. Is there something better I can wear that won't slow me down too much and will give me good protection?
  6. :wall: I hate abyssal nature crafting though. I always die lol! Plus it's slow experience.
  7. I was just perusing oceanstides' guide, "...A Skiller's Life", and read this passage about fire runecrafting: Two questions: 1. Does this still hold true today? This guide was written quite a while ago, and I'm sure price rates have changed, but it is hard for me to figure out exactly what the loss range is. I realized that since I have a little over 8m to spend, this seems perfect for me. 2. Would this be a worthwhile investment? EDIT: I calc'ed out what I think it would cost. I subtracted the sale of fire runes I produced from the cost of rune essence. 54-70 (70 is triple fires): 83,659 fire runes made; -1,840,498gp after selling fires 70-91 (91 is double natures):737,887 fire runes made; -2,951,548 after selling fires Sound about right? Please be kind and check my math!
  8. what level should l get my range and defence? Also, where should l train and what should l use?
  9. Wow...how insightful. -.- Anyone have advice?
  10. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?f=66&t=765267 ^Don't listen to them about slayer.
  11. I know this should go in Graveyard, but no one replies there.... :'( Hey tip it, as it says in my signature, I have a Defense Pure that I have managed to get to 40 defense, 5 attack, and 10 strength. I recently went into PVP worlds expecting complete ownage, but I only got about five kills, and I realized my steel dagger (p++) wasn't helping as much as I had hoped. lol. There was no one to fight because my combat is only 22. So my question is: Should I raise another combat skill? Ranged, strength, magic? I am a member. Also, I forget how to make money at low levels.... help me out? :wall:
  12. I heard the total cost to 99 was between 3 and 6m, would you agree or disagree? Also, I don't have 40 summoning..... :-/ only 27 atm but I might eventually get there. I'll keep that in mind :)
  13. I have decided to train agility along with magic, just to change things up. What is the approximate cost and time to 99 (using super energy potions) thanks! :D I will be training in the wilderness at 52. :-)
  14. Hmm...sounds fun! I like the idea of getting a few visages.... I might do a few thousand alchs here and there and dragons other times. One last question: should I use bolt or wave spells (Air wave maybe? :D only blood runes and an air staff!)
  15. Get chaos gauntless (from family crest) try getting as high mage attack bonus as possible, mystic or better. use anifireshield and antifire pots of coruse, and avoid being in melee range and you will take no damage at all. Focus on Iron dragons, lower deffence than steel dragons and still a good chans of good drops. alch rune and addy items that's pretty much it. \ Edit: ohh and you will be using fire bolt of course : Thanks for this miniguide! Just wondering, is this is better than alching? The item I want to alch is only costing me 47gp per cast, which ends up being ~1 gp/exp. WHat kind of time are we looking at for fighting dragons to get my mage up? It sounds slow, especially using bolt spells :-/ EDIT: I make approximately 200k gp per hour, is the time spent at dragons worth the money I would lose? (assuming dragons are slower exp)
  16. Can you point me to a guide perhaps?
  17. By alching tbh. I think I found a way to alch that will get me to ~7m exp with my current cash, but I will be spending about 47 gp per cast, or 1.38 gp per exp. Is that good?
  18. How did you get your magic to 99?
  19. How long does that take? I would rather have speed than profit. But if it's a nice balance, I will do it.
  20. I put that in, thanks man. :)
  21. Hi tip.it! I decided I need a 99 combat skill, and I have gained back 8m on Sandhill5 *cheers*. I was wondering, is there a way to spend less than or equal to 8m/break even/(profit?) on my way to 99 magic? I have access to Ancients right now, if that helps. Also, estimate times and cost per hour, inventory setups, etc would be extremely useful. Tell me if ya need anything more! EDIT: Current magic level: 67 . EDIT #2: I will soon have Lunar magics, if there are any spells in there that would be helpful
  22. I am starting fresh in members again (New character! Fun!) I was thinking about taking up thieving, since it seems to make decent money and requires no startup cash to train. Is thieving a good new member skill, or should I train something else? Preferably a skill that makes money. Please do not suggest Hunter; I trained that on my other character, Sandhill5, and honestly I am tired of the jerks that purposely place box traps on top of yours so that you can't pick yours up -.-
  23. I have a few questions about training defense pures. Right now I am training at monks. I am p2p and using a topaz machete. Question 1: Would getting 5 attack and 20 strength be worth it? I would like to train to level 70 (90 someday) , and it seems awfully slow right now. Question 2: If I do end up getting 5 attack, would the topaz machete still be best for training? Or a steel dagger? Question 3: Is 20 strength a good level, or should I get a different one?
