I've read articles about debates over whether videogames can be classified as a legitimate addiction or not, and I would fully agree that it is an addiction. People use it as a coping mechanism, a way to escape from the real world. Even I've struggled with it when I've had serious depression, and I've seen friends struggle with it as well. Looking at it from that perspective, I don't find it ridiculous that someone would commit suicide over a game. Instead, I just think it's sad when someone's suffering like that and doesn't get the help they need.
