No offense, but if you uninstalled your disk drive, windows 2000 would automatically install the default drivers upon a reboot. You would have to take no action to install the disk drive, if it is not working, it is most likely a hardware failure and not a driver issue. If you have a computer made by a large company (dell, gateway, hp, compaq, e-machine, etc.), you should be able to find the drivers for your computer via their website under the support section. Just type in your computers' model number into the search support.
