  1. Just got an 18k lob kill... Yay? Grand total for the day (about 12 hours played time)
  2. Well, after a full day of bot hunting, I came up pretty decent. I ended up with enough fish to get my cooking up to ~85-90. Not bad, and really didn't cost much of anything. To everyone that says this should not be used to make money, as it is proceeds from botting... I agree, somewhat. I believe it should be used to level your account, not sold. But do what you want to - it was going to be sold anyways. I decided to upload screenshots of just about every kill I made, whether solo or alone. Below are some pictures (note: may take a while to load... quiet a few kills). Mod edit: Please hide your images in a spoiler if you are posting a ton of them! :) Mods, if thats too many pictures to post at once, please edit them out. :)
  3. Anyone have a quick run down of how to get the bots on Karajama to stop at Stiles instead of just running away? I haven't been able to 'break' them at Stiles where the scorpion can do it's job. Its pretty easy to lure to scorp though.
  4. You have some good stats, especially melee... might need to work on the ones in the 50s, but all of your 80+ are very impressive. Getting over 80 in any stat takes dedication. Grats, and good luck.
  5. This belongs in Tech and Computers I believe. If you are running DSL/Cable I would recommend to shut down your computer, followed by any and all routers. Wait 15 seconds, turn the router(s) back on. Then turn on your desktop. See if that works, it will probably solve your issue.
  6. Yes, read the forum rules here. Read section 1.1, 1.5, and 2.5 for information on being banned.
  7. I know you said you hate dropping ore, but... if you are going for 85 only then mining in varrock and dropping would be a much faster route. I would really recommend varrock for banking also. I have mined and banked a lot of ore on my quest to 85 mining, and in f2p it is by far faster. Coal is out of the picture if you are going for exp. There is no way to get the amount of exp from coal that you would from iron. The spawn/mine time is just too different. Hope that helped a little.
  8. Yes sir, I am. I've been playing on and off for about 5 years now. Guess thats a while to be such a newb. Thanks for all the ideas guys, and ty Captainkidd for giving me an estimate. If anyone else has opinions feel free to put them in.
  9. I've just finished making 65k iron arrows, and my range lvl is 51. I'm planning on spending some time ranging. I haven't trained my range since rsc, so I need some serious ideas on what would be a good spot. Btw, if someone could guesstimate about what lvl they would get me to without picking them up I'd appreciate it.
  10. I just hit 85 mining today, and granite is by far the fastest exp. you'll be able to find. I've mined iron in varrock and outside of yanille, but none of it can touch granite - even having to carry 24 waterskins.
  11. Personally, I don't believe there is a software that would allow 100+ people to view video as well as chat. Just the bandwidth that it would take to send a video out to 100 clients is unimaginable (for a home user anyways)... I doubt they've got anything that is 'reasonable priced' for a normal person - I'm sure they have soemthing for large corporations, but I couldn't find anything via google that would do what you needed - much less be cheap.
  12. Wow, are you not bottlenecking like mad on that GPU? Anyways, I'm not even going to bother posting my present one...It's solidly low-end. But I've been saving for like 6 months to buy one, and I'm getting it sometime in February. Should look something like this: Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 nVidia 8800GTS (of what make, depends on what's cheapest) 2Gig DDR2 800 (wanted Corsair, probably going to go with Mushkin though (cheaper)) Asus P5b Motherboard (or maybe a 650i, not sure) OCZ Gamexstream 600w Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 250gb SATA harddrive Xfi-xtrememusic sound card Antec Sonata II case 19 inch CRT monitor (extremely hard to find these days <.< ) Maybe need to take that as a hint (btw, 17 inch LCD would be more screen, and a lot easier on the eyes... none of the new LCD's have ghosting issues like the old ones :))... and the E6600 is a great choice for price/speed, might want to take the into consideration... I love mine. Its the only processor I've ever had that can actually keep up with how fast I move around the screen, its awesome.
  13. I don't get to play much, but mining granite for about 3 hours I can get around 100-150k exp. :\
  14. Good luck man, its tough for f2p. Thanks for the reply in my post. Keep up the good work, add me in game.
  15. I'll go with my XFire settings... Manufacturer: Dell Inc. Processor: IntelĀ® Core2 CPU 6600 @ 2.40GHz (2 CPUs) Memory: 1022MB RAM Hard Drive: 244 GB Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GS Monitor: 19 inch Dell LCD Analog Display Sound Card: SigmaTel Audio Speakers/Headphones: Sony Headphones / Creative 5.1 Surround Sound Keyboard: HID Keyboard Device Mouse: HID-compliant MX518 Optical Mouse Mouse Surface: Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2 (2600.xpsp.050622-1524)
  16. err...its wireless connection speed..not the router speed. our internet is like 3300kb/sec and my wireless conneciton ussually stay at 54.0 Mbps. and my desktop stay at 100 all the time. but since yesterday, it gone down to 1Mbs....and i cant play rs anymore....cuz the character isnt even moving.......and can any1 help me with the msn thing.. Stupid question, but I've still got to ask... have you tried to turn off all computers and equipment (meaning routers/modems) and turning them back on in order: modem, router(s), computers... If not I would try that first, if that doesn't work then you may want to start looking at issues with files that were downloaded, or as weez said - maybe a new cordless phone or changed wifi at the neighbors homes.
  17. APEX SL-D460EXP ATX12V 460W Power Supply Its $44.99, and has overall good reviews. If it is the case where it's a 3 pin connector, just try a new fan, but considering both aren't working you've got another problem... and considering a fan @ a local dealer would cost $4 - $10, you'd be better off to just put in a whole new PSU. Just an opinion though (and if you screw up soldering then you wasted the money on the fans).
  18. You could try just buying normal 80mm fans, cutting the ends off and re-soldering them where the old fan was, but chances are if both stopped working at the same time, you have a problem larger than the fans. Considering a new PSU only costs about $40 you may just want to buy one.
  19. You may want to try this... Start>>Run>>DXDiag Press Yes, and click the display tab. Near the bottom, to the left, make sure all 3 'Direct X Features' are enabled. That's probably where your issue is.
  20. Alright... so it can't have any more RAM... and that video card you mentioned will work with my computer? Correct? How did you find the stuff in that picture? What is important to finding that? Thanks everyone for your help. :) 1. Yes the video card will work with your computer - it is 4x/8x AGP compatible - and you're computer supports that. 2. I found the stuff in the picture by going to google and typing in your motherboard manufacturer and the chipset which yeilded a pdf of your motherboard... if you want to read the rest feel free to : Intel D815EEA 3. What is important about this? It allows us to see what kind of product we are working with. What it can support and what it won't, allowing us to give our recommendation on what you may, or may not, be able to do to your computer. And no problem, I enjoy it :)
  21. I definately agree with this. Considering you are going to be just barely scraping by the minimum requirements does not mean you are going to have great graphics and smooth gameplay. There will still be some places where you will experience problems. Game manufactures put it as minimum because that is the lowest required specifications that could actually make the game run at all... and that doesn't mean perfect. But for $40.00 at least you won't have major game lag anymore. :)
  22. I'm sorry, but maybe you need to learn to look up specs before you say it won't be able to do something. *Not that I want to bash you or anything...* ------ Now, I looked up the specs of your computer, guess what - the only thing you need to run WoW (on lower res/graphics of course), is a new graphics card. You meet the other min. requirements already, here is what you need: The 2 in bold you already have - You have a PIII running @ 1Ghz, 200mhz over what you need. And you have 512mb of memory. Here are the pictures of what your board actually has (taken from the manufacturer's website): ^^ Outlined in red is what you need to look at. The board has room for 3 DIMM (memory strips), but cannot support more than what it already has - good but bad thing. Next, it can support up to an 4x AGP card, which is decent, although its not top of the line it will be able to run WoW (going to put a link it just a few minutes to a decent card for your needs). Nextly, you could also buy a PCI card if need be, but I would stay away from that as they use more system resources to run (and lower your chances to upgrade things such as sound, NIC, etc.). So, to make it all short - you need a new graphics card. I found this one on newegg, and is fairly cheap. MSI FX5200-TD128LF Geforce FX5200 64-bit DDR AGP 4X/8X If you need anything else, feel free to post back... I'll help with what I can.
  23. First off, download my little friend - it's name is CPU-Z. It comes in a zip file, so you will have to extract all of the files to your desktop or folder. Run the cpuz[Caution: ExecutableFile] and you should get a window like this: This way you know what kind of processor/socket your cpu is - and you can match it against what the requirements are. The third tab on CPU-Z is also very important, and a picture needs to be posted. This way everyone can help you figure out whether you need an AGP, PCI, or PCI Express card to go in with your upgrade (and maybe some more memory). I would recommend another 512mb of memory (1 gig is enough in this world now), and a new video card. So post some pictures back of what you've got, and yes, Newegg is a very good place to buy new parts from - I buy almost everything I need from them.
  24. Respawn rates will vary depending on the amount of people on the server - and no the monsters don't spawn at the same rate.
  25. You nailed that one... I'm at 81 and its ungodly boring. About 2 more weeks to 85 though. Yes, mining pays off in the long run, but man it's boring getting to 85. You have to have no life :P
