RuneScape Information

  1. I'm not sure what your trying to say. If you are referring to the mac mouse that is a single click, yes you'll want to get one that has right and left click. the ctrl key on a PC is the modifier key that allows the mousekeys to function, if you don't hold it down the number keys should still type numbers. All I did with my keyboard is relocate some of the keys on the normal keyboard to a spot that was more easily accessible for me to use. It can still be done on all computers. I understand what you did on your keyboard, and on my mac laptop, I have a two click mouse. My problem is that since it is a laptop, the keys you would normally use for mousekeys, on a regular PC, are on the right side of the keyboard. On a laptop, these buttons do not exist, there are only the numeral keys that are above the letters on the keyboard. When I turn on mousekeys, and hit control on any of those numbers, there is no reaction. I read in earlier posts that you have to hit the fn button, which I did. When doing that, the 7, 8, and 9 button move the mouse, but not in the method you described. It moves the mouse ever so slow, therefore it is not efficient. I tried to hit every single key, and none of them really seemed to skip to the right spots, like described, they just slowly move the mouse. Has anyone encountered this and know how to make mousekeys work on a macbook laptop? Check back in your settings. I'm not familiar with using a laptop for this but I can't imagine it wouldn't work. :(  :wall: :x Alright I have the same problem as both of these guys but to a certain extent. I'm on a laptop but I do have the num lock button, just its used by clicking the [fn] key. I also don't have a numerical keybad on the right side of the keyboard since my laptop isn't that huge size, only the numerical buttons near the top. I'm not on a Macbook, I have an HP with Vista on it. I activate mouse keys and all but when I hold down either the control key or the [fn] key and after a right click, there is no response by any keys that i press. Not 2, not 5, nor 7, 8, or 9. If someone could provide a very detailed explanation on how to achieve the proper results when you have a laptop without a numerical keypad on the right, I'd really appreciate it. I've long been wanting to know how to use mouse keys to be more efficient in RuneScape. If it is not doable on a laptop or at least in my case, I will be very upset that I don't get the advantage that pc users enjoy. Of course that is no one's fault so my frustration won't have a just cause. I guess I'll have to repost this and hope again that someone can help me fix my problem where I can't use this ownage method. Just take a look at when i posted it originally and today's date.... Honestly wtfh are you guys doing putting this up on AoW when no one can provide an answer to problems that me and a few other people are facing.

  3. Allow me to explain. It's because you're already getting good enough ranged attack bonus and the extra little bit from the accumulator won't help you out in the long run when compared to the +4 prayer bonus you'll get from the trimmed cape. Less prayer pots will be used. And thanks a lot Chensj2! The logout spot really helps!
  4. Wow I totally love this guide! It's awesome and I feel like spot 3 is a lot better than spot 2. 10/10 I am however upset that this guide doesn't mention how to safely log out from this area. I'm down to 31 hp cause I had to go but kept running from corner to corner only to get a skeleton to attack me while i'm a monkey and just about to log off. Please tell me where the best spot to log off is at for spot 3! I had to run all the way around the bend separating spot 1 and 2 to log off there and took lots of damage from [bleep]es (some you can't avoid but I was also panicking, looking for a spot and stood on some for a few seconds). I'll log on to have rocks fall on my head and then have to run past 2 [bleep]es again and will most likely have to cut this trip early... =/ So please, add a section to your guide about where you can log off safely!!
  5. Awesome guide! I was looking for a good chinning guide because I really wanted to start chinning (bought 40k red chins yesterday) but couldn't find one so I started off where I was more familiar with (mummies in CT). I didn't even know they dropped rune items and ancient staffs, I was just there for the charms lol. However, my frient pointed this guide out to me and I was finally able to try out Ape Atoll chinning. You explained everything really well and it helped a lot! It was my very first time chinning there and I had only thrown 1k chins at mummies so I wasn't experienced at all in forming 3x3 grids, etc. I feel like I'll be a pro at it in no time thanks to you =p. I would like to suggest something for you to add that might help out other players that use this guide. I had to log off immediately and I didn't know you can't switch to a greegree during combat. So I ran west from that spot to try to lose the skeletons and I did, stopping right under a narrow archway. I put on my greegree, and then it unequipped! All of a sudden I was barraged with lots of rocks repeatedly falling and had to tele out with 5 hp. =p I was rather upset since I was only halfway done with the supplies lol. Anyway, now that I look back at that mistake, I guess a good spot to log out would be the one you say is good for the sandwich lady and puzzle boxes. I just thought it would be a good idea to add that into your guide. Other than that, 11/10! Great job!
  6. * IMPORTANT UPDATE!! * Ok well the thread that I mentioned Mod Paul wrote in has some new info in it. He made a further clarification on page 8 about what they mean with an update every 2 weeks and how this affects the quest.
  7. Thank you very much Mylez. That was simple enough lol. So yeah it was pretty much due out today but it's in no condition to be released today as it needs more testing to make sure there aren't any bugs. After Mod Paul made the post, I started thinking back to all the quests and I don't even remember 1 in which there were bugs and they had to be fixed after the release. That would really stink. That's why they're trying to make sure all things are perfect before release so that a bug doesn't mess up anyone's enjoyment of the quest, storyline, etc.
  8. Am I the only one who knows about the technicalities? Ok well based on the schedule of updates the past 2 months, it was supposed to come out today. However, Mod Paul wrote a post in the RSOF. Here is the info so you can find it and read it yourselves: Quick find code: 16-17-825-57946921 (page 6) EDIT: My friend sent me this sig but I dont know anything about these things... Can anyone tell me how to update my QP to be 270?
  9. Oh and thanks for everyone who has posted so far. I just wanted to bring this topic up and it seems as though most of you agree it is unreleased land that we'll get later. Maybe we can also talk about how you think it'll be released, with what updates, when it'll be released, what these lands may offer us, etc. I just wanted to give my ideas on those blank parts of the map and start ideas or whatever.
  10. Alright I finally got around to trying to post the pictures up. It's my first time so if nothing is there, bear with me lol. Oh and just to let you know, the first pic is of the world map but when i was altering the size and everything it became really pixelated and may be hard to make out. [hide=] [/hide]
  11. Ok i made 3 pics and saved them to my pc but sadly idk how to post them up on here lol. im pretty inexperienced when it comes to this kind of stuff so if anyone could give me some tips on how to post pics up here that would be great.
  12. I just want to say that I'm sorry if I didn't see a thread about this anywhere and am posting about a topic that is already acknowledged and is already talked about but I did not see anything about it on the forums so here it is. Some of you may have noticed some mysterious, strange squares in RuneScape. Where, do you ask? Well I'm talking about those none other than on the world map. Go ahead and take a look at them. Open up the in-game world map and look around the edges. There are many areas in which there is a checkered black-and-gray pattern. These are suspicious looking to me and I doubt they are just blank parts of the map. I am convinced these sections are new parts of the map that will be released in the future. Here are two examples that help prove my viewpoint: One of these checkered patterns is located north of Morytania. If you have done enough of the Varrock Museum and remember correctly, the npc (I forgot the name but the one at the entrance) that gives you and talks about kudos says that once you've gotten enough of them, you receive permission to go on an expedition or something to a new island once the workers have finished building the barge north of the dig site. She says they discovered a new island north of Morytania, right where that huge square is. Is it a coincidence? I think not. My second example is weaker than the first but I think it might also show that these areas might be future land masses or extensions of current land. Another one of these big square patterns is located on the west of the map, right around Tirannwn. In fact, part of it is inside of Prifddinas, and makes up the Northwest quadrant of the castle or whatever it is. A lot of people think that Prifddinas might be explorable in the future and if I'm right, this could expand that part of the map and lead to unlocking it. I'm just pointing out the possibilities. =) So when might this all be released? Well why not during the "mega quest?" It sure would make sense. A lot of people think this quest will be about a war between all parts of the world, including forces from the north and the elven folk from the west. Maybe part of the quest will give you the mission of infiltrating Prifddinas? Could be... So anyway, there you have it. The mystery of the squares. Please post comments on this thread, I really wanna know what people think. I could be completely wrong but if I'm right it would be awesome. =)
  13. Oh ok so that area where the red salamanders are located in is classified as jungle/woodlands? I just wasn't sure about that so thanks you guys.
  14. Hey I wanted to trap some red salamanders in a little bit right when I hit 59 hunter... Can someone please tell me which set of camouflage armor specializes for the area where you hunt red salamanders? I couldn't really find it in the RuneScape Knowledge Base...
  15. Wow now thats hardcore preparation. I was thinking about getting around 50 but 400 will definitely pay off. I have 1014 chicken eggs but those will probably give really low amounts of exp lol... :(
