  1. Yeah greens seem to be heading up, even the bloke that sold it too me offered a yellow and i declined then he reluctantly agreed to sell me a green.
  2. A offered a disk for a green partyhat, exactly 9 people offered to sell me a yellow for a disk before i got my green, shows how much rarer green is, i know i overpayed but i got what i want so i couldn't care.
  3. It's in no way a toss up, varrock is far to crowded, half the time you just chase them to just get beaten by someone else, as for revenants i have only seen 1 ever from 52-60 attack, and they are in no way deadly for level 50-60's
  4. After hearing so many opinions about chessy and his her 2k santa stash i have decided to give my 2 cents. [opinion] To be honest, he (i struggle to believe its actually a girl) isn't buying santa's for more money etc, he is simply buying lots of santas because it's interesting and fun to try and monopolise a market. It's almost impossible to sell 2k santa's and convert them into something else without losing billions anyway. For example i am buying some items that have a price roof and a 180 day 0% increase, it takes no effort because i never have to change my offer, then once i have gained a fair amount of stock which does happen i either will hold them until their roof breaks (see bronze knives for example) and make 200% profit at least, or simply dump all of them at once and see if i can finally break that 180 day straight line for fun. Another brilliant example is, if you somehow gained infinite gp you would try and buy out at least one expensive item totally wouldn't you? YOU HAVE INFINITE GP YOU DON'T NEED MORE GP BUT YOU DO IT BECAUSE IT IS FUN. This is exaclty why chessy will never sell his santa stock, and frankly he doesn't care what their price is in terms of his net value, he just cares that he is having fun being famous for it and making his mark on runescape. [/opinion]
  5. With the release of the new hitpoints flesh crawlers have become alot more deadly for 1 def pures so i went in search of new prey and i came across dark wizards! These dark wizards are the ones found in the wilderness (level 7 wilderness above the mind alter/falador), 3 of them are level 20 and 5 of them level 7. We use edgeville to bank. Equipment This equipment is the best apart from the wizard hat, replace that with a coif. The power ammy over the strength amulet is because of the 6+ mage def and the anti dragon sheild is because of 2+ mage defence. Also leather body is better than wizard robes. Now for the reasoning into why you should kill these. Pro's 1. They have very low melee defence. This enables them to be killed quickly resulting in more xp. 2. They use a mage style attack meaning that melee defence isn't needed, instead magic levels will determine the amount of damage you take, this is perfect for 1 def pures because you can take less damage without raising your defence level. Most pures have some sort of magic level so this is great. 3. They drop water talismans worth 11k and fire talismans worth 7k, they drop enough of these per hour to net you 200k cash (55 att and 68 str). People spend all day chasing lesser demons to get rune meds worth 11k, when a level 7 can drop something of equal value alot more often and can be killed alot quicker and is better xp. 4. They also drop about 100k in runes per hour of all types, if i didn't already have 15m on my f2p 1 def pure i would pick these up. But it requires effort and you lose a considerable amount of xp per hour, useful if your looking for cash and not so much xp. 5. Relatively close to the bank compared to other training spots. 6. With 60 magic i survive half an hour on 1 load of tuna! 7. More interesting, there are actual drops which can bring more interest especially if 11k is a big deal to your bank. 8. Not crowded at all (yet) i have never seen anyone train there! Con's 1. Hardly afkable, you can afk them but you will not be as constantly attacking as you are with flesh crawlers and you might miss out on drops, xp rates will be halved. (They are aggressive for all levels). 2. Revenants may appear, from experience you get one every 2-4 hours, this is another reason to not afk. they are easy to run away from though, no threat if your paying attention. Results I will put more results here with pictures of trip etc soon A half hour trip. From my trips so far i have estimated that at 55 attack and 68 str i gained 20k xp and 200k cash in an hour (not picking up runes at all). I am releasing this because money isn't important to me (over 1 bil total on my accounts) so i don't need this to my self. These may be very good range training too i haven't tested it. Add crumble away or halo475 or heet48 to speak to me in-game, i do NOT play often.
  6. No you just contributed to a solo merchant or a small group of merchancts earning more money, they have just bought out an item with low supply and due to it being a small group or solo no one dumps early so it just keeps going and going. Look at black and white flowers, granite maces, brine sabres etc it has happenend to many things and still is happening to lots of things. I bet if they crash to 70k or something they will rise again to 2x their previous peak price, look at brine sabres it's insane.
  7. Yep masks are on the rise again with this buyout most likley stronger than the last. Expect red and maybe blue to go over 100m and green to get close. Also santas will start heading up next update if they haven't already.
  8. Does anyone else share these same thoughts? In the Q&A it was stated many times the new skill won't be expensive, they only way rares was going to crash according to some merchants was if a big moneysink was implemented, and it was favoured that this would be the new skill. Now that it isn't i have seen a rise in confidence with rares and am finding it hard to see masks dipping even. But of course a moneysink can always be implememted without being a skill, but most people aren't thinking of that.
  9. I'm surprised this hasn't been posted yet. Post ways in which you think or know the staff of light will be useful for. It has many unique abilities so i, and others would like to know how to best utilize them.
  10. Phats maybe better than easters, but disk are alot alot safer, they are rising slower which is a good thing and they are probably rarer than pumpkins. If you get 15m less a month with a disk then your partyhat then use the spare 250m to get that 15m. Which is doable in 1 day if you know what your doing or 5 days if you don't.
  11. Updated results, it's becoming clear that people think yellow is more common and green is rarer that their street prices suggest. The disk and pumpkin are very close and so is the cracker and the wine.
  12. My post wasn't a question it was a statement. Partyhats are lowering, there are so many sellers compared to buyers. These sellers aren't merchants either most of them are random people wanting to prolong their street value. When edibles do reach they price you said think of what partyhats will be at that time if they continue to rise at the same rate. I do agree though when edible do reach that price they will be no where near as valuble in street price or even crashing, but that is still a long way away.
  13. Partyhats have been dropping dramatically in street prices recently. Everyone is *cashing out* so they have cash for this new skill or an update. Everyone realises that edibles have much more longlivety (especially the disk) so alot of partyhats are being sold for edibles and not many being bought. And as you all know increased supply and lowered demand leads to a price drop. I am not saying they are going to crash though, they are far from it. I'm very happy with my disk instead of the yellow i had. An example is yellow is 1.5 eggs now it was 2.25-2.5 not long ago. And disk was just above yellow now its like 100m junk above yellow at least.
  14. This thread is run in conjunction with one i have on RSOF. If you think this thread is not appropriate for general discussion and should be moved to questionnaires then so be it. But i think it can stay here because there is alot of discussion value in this topic. I want your opinions on the rarest rares! You do not have to answer all or any surveys when you post. Information on the backround of each rare can be found further down. Credit to runescape.wikia.com. How to answer the surveys! A group of rares will be listed. This is an example of two rares Easter egg: (put rank here e.g 2) Pumpkin: (put rank here e.g 1) Scoring. You give the rarest rare a 1 and the second rarest a 2 ( also known as descending order). Rares will have it's own score, if there are 3 rares in the group the one you rank with a 1 will recieve 3 points and the one you rank with 2 recieves etc. The surveys [hide] Survey number 1: Rarest non-wearable (higer). [/hide] Backround information on all partyhats [hide] --------------------Blue partyhats-------------------- Blue partyhats are discontinued holiday items that players obtained by opening Christmas crackers that were dropped as part of the 2001 Christmas event. --------------------White partyhats-------------------- White partyhats were available on Christmas 2001 as a holiday present. They were retrieved when one player "used" a Christmas cracker with another player. One of the two participants received a random gift and the other received a partyhat. --------------------Green partyhats-------------------- Green partyhats come from opening Christmas crackers, which were obtained in the 2001 Christmas event. The green partyhats was the most expensive item lost during the world 111 Glitch that allowed a certain player to kill other players in a safe zone. --------------------Red partyhats-------------------- Red partyhats come from opening Christmas crackers that appeared in the Christmas 2001 holiday event. All of the Party Room staff wear red partyhats. A long time ago in RuneScape Classic, the Fancy Clothes Store in Varrock's south-east area stocked a red partyhat; but there was just a place holder for it (at 0 stock) which was never filled. Players waited for hours and hours to see if it would spawn, but it never did and was later removed due to the frustration of some players' time being wasted. The red partyhat was also sometimes mistaken for the infamous black partyhat (which never existed) when players had their brightness turned down is runescape classic. --------------------Yellow partyhat-------------------- Yellow partyhats come from opening Christmas crackers from the 2001 Christmas event. Many players kept them when they were dropped because it makes a player looks like they are a King/Queen due to the goldish colour and the crown shape. --------------------Purple partyhat-------------------- The Purple partyhat comes from opening a Christmas cracker from the 2001 Christmas event. The purple partyhat was originally the most expensive of the partyhats, but became the cheapest after the partyhat duplication glitch. In RuneScape Classic, partyhats were simply called "Party Hat" with no colour in their name. What is now the purple partyhat was more pink in colour, so players assumed that this partyhat was pink. After the release of RuneScape 2, Jagex made a slight colour change to the "pink" Party Hat, and then named it purple partyhat. [/hide] Backround information on all non-wearables [hide] --------------------Christmas cracker-------------------- A Christmas cracker is a holiday item that was dropped during the 2001 Christmas event on 25 December 2001, the first RuneScape Christmas event. Inside a Christmas cracker is a party hat and one other item or a stack of items, such as some coins, runes, or runite armour. To open it, it must be used with another player. Upon opening, the player who had the cracker gets a random coloured party hat, and the other player gets the other item. It used to be random which player would get the partyhat, but Mod Ash has confirmed that this was changed to the player with the cracker always gets the hat to prevent a possible method of real world trading. When these crackers were dropped, the original colour was red, and has since changed to white. --------------------Easter egg-------------------- Easter eggs were dropped during the 2002 Easter event on the 20 April 2002. They are edible and they heal 12 hitpoints when consumed. Players should withdraw them from banks only in noted form to avoid accidentally eating them. Alot of easter egss were obtained by players, but also alot eaten because a 12hp heal was good at the time. Therefore easter eggs are stil extremely rare. --------------------Pumpkin-------------------- Pumpkins were the first holiday items that were dropped by Jagex on Halloween of 31 October, 2001 during the 2001 Halloween Event. They heal a total of 14 hitpoints. AS with the easter egg alot got eaten making the pumpkin extremely rare. --------------------Disk of returning-------------------- The Disk of returning was used to let players exit the Black Hole in RuneScape Classic. At the time a non-player character called Thordur sold them for 10 coins. This item is the oldest rare or discontinued item in the game beating out the pumpkin as this disk was created back in July 2001. People that were banned were put into a hole and trapped there until their ban was over. A lot of people got themselves banned just to see the hole, so Jagex made a mock hole and created a disk to let players out once they went in. These disks cannot teleport players in or out of the Black Hole as the Black Hole no longer exists. It was removed because a lot of banned people convinced some people who were visiting the black hole to drop their disks, because something "cool" would happen. This was a scam that would trap those players in the black hole and trap the victim, forcing Jagex to assist the player out. Throw-away accounts were also made by banned people, with the sole purpose of buying a disk of returning, drop trading it to the banned person, and then allowing them to escape. This ended with Jagex having to rescue the lot of people who fell for this scam, and so Jagex removed The Black Hole along with the disk shop. --------------------Half wine-------------------- A Half full wine jug was once obtained by drinking once from a jug of wine. Later, via update, it was changed so that a jug of wine was consumed in one drink. One half-full wine jug heals 7 Hitpoints when drunk. Players who brought half-full wine jugs from RuneScape Classic soon found they became a discontinued item and would sell for a massive sum to other players. Soon they became a rarity, and prices began to skyrocket. Originally, in RuneScape Classic, a Half full wine jug spawned on the table in the Chaos Temple. It was later replaced by the Wine of Zamorak. [/hide] Backround information on masks and the santa [hide] --------------------Santa hat-------------------- A Santa hat is an item of clothing that was the last tradeable holiday drop, as part of the 2002 Christmas event. They were dropped only on 25 December 2002. All day they appeared randomly on the ground all over RuneScape, in batches about every six minutes. A player could pick up as many as they wanted. They are clearly the most common rare due to the large amount of players playing (in relative to previous events) and how easily they were obtained. They give no statistic bonuses on the main game, although they give +3 Magic on RuneScape Classic. Red fezzes are often mistaken for Santa hats, although changes to the trading system made scamming other players because of this similarity impossible. --------------------H'ween masks-------------------- A Halloween mask is a holiday item that was introduced on 31 October 2002 as part of the 2002 Hallowe'en event. The Halloween mask comes in three colours: green, blue, and red. Historically, the Green halloween mask has been the least expensive of the set. The Red halloween mask is the most expensive in recent history, although at times the Blue halloween mask is more expensive. At one time the price of the Red Halloween mask surpassed that of the Red party hat. This happened approximately 1 month after the Halloween masks were released. [/hide]
  15. NIce! How close to update did you put offer in?
  16. Although it's gonna be f2p, the best features and the quickest ways to train will be members.
  17. I got my desired yellow partyhat from scratch without sniping any edible, disk or partyhat. I just continuously bought items worth mints like masks, 3rd age, dragon full helms, animal masks and furies. This got me enough mints to buy an easter then i added more for the paryhat. Overall i lost exactly 15m pure cash in doing this because i had to buy items for max then when sold in a trade i sold for med (note i also gained money when i held items for updates to make some money back.. The only junk i have leftover is the 3m worth of addy arrows which is stable junk anyway. It took me about a week, not much standing around doing nothing though, just waiting for items. I also know i overpayed by about 5 mints but i don't care, i demanded it quicker so i payed more.
  18. Wow in the space of a day mints have gone from 5m to 11m, should of kept my 36 a little longer, easter is now worth like 28 mints, easter isn't dropping though, mints are just rising.
  19. Traded 33 mints for an easter egg, although i got it off a player not a merchant so the price was lower.
  20. Red masks are down to like 3 mints, managed to sell my 11 masks for 36 mints, with little effort could of maybe got 40-45 if i could be bothered.
  21. I have 11, considering waiting till next update to get another 20m, then off load them for say 55 mints, then getting an easter and add the extra mints for maybe a purple.
  22. H'ween masks are really taking off, red in particular is doing well being worth 8-10 mints.
  23. I also was another flipping red masks, but now i can't as stated above. Good thing i have 12 sitting around to make cash from the rise ahead.
  24. I've been flipping halloween masks since I dumped my santas. They're quite stable. Always buyable and always sellable. A little hard to buy at mid, but if you keep an offer in for all three at mid, you'll probably get one within a day. Can't sell for max, but easily sellable above mid. So they're slowly but surely moving up in price. I can confirm this 100% i also have been flipping them, buying 100k above mid and selling for 700-1m above mid. Plus i am also holding about 12 red masks so i get 5-10m every second or third day with the slow rises, not bad for f2p and 10 mins a day tops.
  25. Danny green you legend a 122 second bout was worth the $50 pay per view fee. You make all austalians proud.
